And here I thought the trope would be the strong female saves the weak male from harm, but both were integral to the other's success. Nice teamwork all around, amazing animation, and a fun minecraft character dynamic.
"Nigh-unkillable warrior queen" and "Support-caster boyfriend" is an interesting dynamic that's rarely seen. To be honest, I can't think of any others besides this one!
Interesting Illager design. Their masks give off the idea that maybe at one point the illagers were ashamed of what they had become and so they used masks to hide their faces. However the disrepair their masks have fallen into suggest that they no longer care and have descended into bloodlust and hostility. Overall a cool alternative design to the ingame ones. I wonder if the evokers wear the masks or fully embrace their new forms.
I think they are zombies because of their design, maybe they are illagers zombies, but I think that they are zombies copying the real Illagers and Pillagers.

It might just be me being a massive over thinker but I think I can logic a idea on why Steve and Alex are like this If we go off of cannon minecraft Steve is more experienced with the mechanics of their world. He knows the best ways to farm resources with less effort and how to set up large machines. But combat in his time was originally very spam style no refine style and likely he moved away as he got better with the farming methods. Alex on the other hand a newer survivor is far more used to the modern refined combat system but doesn’t know ,or care, about the automatic/ safer farming methods. Thus while steve can likely get the resources (he did give alex full diamond gear and a healing pot from nowhere) Alex is the one that can use them to their fullest in battle
I love this because he didn't go and full on save her like a dork, but he went in and bought her enough time and brought equipment so that she could take down the threat herself with him as backup. It was epic!
I love the silent story telling of how this started. The Raiders probably ambushed them while they're going about their day, then one of them nearly gets Steve, which pisses off Alex, so she drags him off and shoves him inside a small cave, blocking off the entrance to protect him.
Dude, your pillager design is so creative and interesting! Turning them into masked monsters is a nice spin on their original concept of "a villager, but meeeeean". And hey, it looks like the RUclips algorithm has picked your channel up! Tons of people seem to be flocking to your animations.
Mayhaps I'm mistaken, but the vanilla minecraft does give off midevil Era vibes, so proper knights armor seems just right Or are you talking specifically about the upper torso area?
Heck Steve has been around since the old Minecraft when Endermen had green eyes instead of purple eyes. Alex may have more hax and bravery but not experience or combat. Steve has combat because he killed more mob's then Alex.

When you have an arrow that punctures all the way through, break off one end then pull the other end out. It's less damaging than pulling an arrowhead or the fletching through. A minor detail. Just thought I'd share.

science and brains is more powerful then brawn and sheer combat prowess though it takes longer to prepare, plan and build while brawn and strength can be used without preparations
I would say it’s a manpower + science situation where both of them contribute something to a common goal. Steve likely wouldn’t have survived without Alex, and vice versa.
as much praise i can give to alex, she fought off the raid for a good 50 seconds whilst having no armor and an iron sword. we can also see that the sword broke, meaning she used up all 250 durability points on it and because a vindicator takes 4 hits with a sword like that, in real minecraft, it would mean she solos ~63 vindicators in that state
@@sugarrushambassador well, take into consideration the she coulda used Crits, which deal 150% of weapon damage, she coulda killed ~83 like that. thats only accounting for java, whereas in bedrock (if crit is the same for it) she would have killed ~125 as iron swords deal 7 instead of 6 damage there. input that into the calculations i used and you get ~125 dead vindicators
Okay so, I know this is just an animation of a pixelated survival game, but just a note, you don't EVER want to pull an arrow out like Alex did. Chances are, that'll just cause more damage than you already suffered. What you WANT to do is break off the Shaft of the arrow, and then pull the Arrowhead out from the other side if you're absolutely dead-set on removing it.
I mean, you kinda have to remove it at some point. You supposed to just leave it in there? I wouldn't think so! But yeah, breaking it first so you don't pull the arrow head back through to tear up the tissue again is probably sensible.

I believe Steve really does have a crush on Alex. But he is too embarrassed to admit it so he covers it up with pranks. Typical boy behavior, teasing the girls they like. Glad that Alex does not take it too personally and just gets him back for it. All part of the game for them.
The illagers and ravager designs put so much more personality into the design then the actual game design, I wanna see what an evoker or iceologer looks like in this design
I love this friendship dynamic, a guy who is a bit of a coward but in the end is a genius, and the badass woman who is always pissed at him but won't hesitate to save his ass

I refuse to believe that a player with no armour, no shield and just an Iron Sword could survive a raid for that long. For those saying "this isn't real Minecraft", I am aware. For those saying "just be good", that's not how it works. Vindicators deal a massive amount of damage per hit. Get hit by one with no armour. Trust me.

I like how Steve instead of trying to be the hero by going into the battle and potentially getting killed he used his own talents to help Alex and they both worked as a team to opposite parts that make one Dangerous whole. Anyway thank you for your time. Good job btw🎉👍

mate, the correct answer will always be “A lot” haha last video was what? 6 months ago? So that’s how long it took. Being a lone animator can drastically make single videos be months, even years apart. Even big budget teams of animators, takes time to finish. Look at Sword Art Online Abridge. Series has been running since 2013, i think, with two episodes per year if we’re lucky haha.

I like how Steve plays pranks on Alex because he can't handle his feelings and doesn't know how to properly respond to Alex without pranking her. But his mastery of Redstone engineering works well with Alex's upfront fighting style, especially with him blasting the Illigers with cannons and shooting Alex some healing and armor for her. Both make for an effective team. Now if only Steve could express his feelings for her in a way that isn't adorable and silly pranks on her. But she doesn't seem to mind. Maybe she knows his feelings, or at least has a hint about them, and is just playing along.

I like how Steve instead of trying to be the hero by going into the battle and potentially getting killed he used his own talents to help Alex and they both worked as a team to opposite parts that make one Dangerous whole. Anyway thank you for your time.

mate, the correct answer will always be “A lot” haha last video was what? 6 months ago? So that’s how long it took. Being a lone animator can drastically make single videos be months, even years apart. Even big budget teams of animators, takes time to finish. Look at Sword Art Online Abridge. Series has been running since 2013, i think, with two episodes per year if we’re lucky haha.

I like how Steve plays pranks on Alex because he can't handle his feelings and doesn't know how to properly respond to Alex without pranking her.
But his mastery of Redstone engineering works well with Alex's upfront fighting style, especially with him blasting the Illigers with cannons and shooting Alex some healing and armor for her. Both make for an effective team.
Now if only Steve could express his feelings for her in a way that isn't adorable and silly pranks on her. But she doesn't seem to mind. Maybe she knows his feelings, or at least has a hint about them, and is just playing along.
