This laser cleaning system effortlessly tackles jobs like selective depainting, corrosion & coating removal, mold cleaning, and more (mention other ideas in the comments) without damaging base materials like copper, aluminum, and steel!
Laser cleaning is a process that removes debris, contaminants, dirt, or impurities (e.g., silicon cleaning, rubber cleaning, coating cleaning, carbon cleaning, etc.) from material surfaces by using laser irradiation. The benefits of using a laser cleaner are that it is extremely environmentally-friendly, has low maintenance and implementation costs, and has widespread application use throughout almost any global industry.
Industrial cleaning is applicable in nearly every industry and can be applied to glass, ceramics, metals, concrete, plastics, and much more. Laser cleaning is a non-contact, environmentally friendly process for removal of surface coating from metals, concrete and delicate substrates such as composites - with minimal impact on the base material. Laser Photonics’ portable system expands the cleaning from the floor to the field. Industrial Laser cleaning and surface removal can be applied to surfaces of bridges, aircraft, large vehicles, trains, cleaning tire molds, laser mold cleaning, etc - in addition to small parts and sensitive materials.

Can't wait till harbor freight has these.
I wonder what would happene if you point that thing on the eye
@@stripecatflippangitnamecha8721 If you ask a question like that, you shouldn't have one!!
Low cost of only $29,999!
@@stripecatflippangitnamecha8721 natural selection
Yeah then some crackhead will try and give his kid a haircut with it.
I need this instead of toilet paper!
Toilet paper would be cheaper and more gentle on the skin. And methane is flammable.
@@chuggles03 wooosh
This system has plenty of applications but 0/10 would recommend that!
@@LaserPhotonics I would say 1/10. It's definitely clean afterwards!
@@xPentag0n and bloody too..
Yep, those miracle products sold on gas stations that promise to clean the cylinder carbon build-up finally found a challenge 😂
well I think this bad boy costs like 2k (for the cheapest one)
Best comment
@@dariussedleckas8194 Can I get one at Autozone? 😆
They aren't that useless, i mean, i cleaned a persistent fault code just by adding that little thing in the fuel tank (and then using high quality gas).
*It'll remove carbon, but it wont fix that valve seat damage. Holy cow.*
My thoughts exactly. Why bother laser cleaning this thing, it's fucked until you send it off to a brazing tech, machinist, and an engine builder to confirm tolerances.
Maybe is just to show carbon buildup removal
Our customers usually want to see our lasers in action before they purchase... so we film demonstrations on real products that they would be used on!
@@LaserPhotonics how much would one of those handheld systems cost?
That is actually a build up of Siloxane which is a common problem in engines that burn waste water treatment and landfill biogas as the fuel. It can be mechanically cleaned after the laser cleaning if required. The seat itself is most likely fine.
Will this remove memories of my ex wife ?
If it does, I'll split the cost for one with you.
I'll pitch in too!
*Make it double and I'll pay for the delivery charge*
This is the best comment on RUclips
It will remove your soul from your body 😬
The Terminator would love to get his hands on this.
Cybernetic organism covered in living tissue, it became awhear😎
Best and fastest way to restore parts.
I still can't believe this tool only consumes 22W. Utterly incredible!!!
22 amps methinks....but still incredible
@@jeffzuiderveen7266 that sounds more like it...
where u get that info?
is this cheaper than a wire-brush? Cause it takes about the same time...
Looks like it only charges the colour of the hard stuff. A wire brush and some diesel to soften it up gives a beter and much cheaper result.
@Derek Young whoooooooosh
@@bonkeydollocks1879 no i dont think wiiish got one of these.
@@extec101 you miss the joke bro
Cool system, especially if it’s portable! Hope to find it for my piano restoration business.
Best tattoo removal ever
A wonderful tool for restoration and general mechanical service and repair workshops.
Fascinating scan pattern.
Interesting how the carbon blasts off pretty quick but the sulfur deposits are a little longer, I wonder if it the color.
Yes, sulfur is light colored and it refects the light instead of absorbing the light energy thus difference between carbon and sulfur removal.
@@Nocturnal_Owl Looks like a Jenbacher gas head.
The sulphur/siloxan deposits are hard stuff to remove depending on the gas composition.
Amazingly POWERFUL! It sounds pretty scary though LMAO! BUT it's is awesome for vaporizing whatever it contacts upon contact, that's the spectacular part!
Will this tool remove my dingle berries?
God gave us finger nails for a reason
Be a man and use nail clippers...you might feel a little sting though.😉
I feel like I should be scared of this.
They're usually not dangerous to the skin.
But definitely to your eyes
Unless you're made of rust or old paint, you have nothing to fear! Our operators only have to don protective eyewear while using these systems.
I’m just a caveman. Your technology frightens and confuses me.
With the power behind it, you should be scared of it lmao. This is playing with fire except they've concentrated the entire fire to the size of a pin and are blasting it around with a mirror. PPE isn't a choice with this one lol
Amazing!! But i want to I see flatness quantified after treatment. That's a LOT of heat
If you all ever feel like giving a man a second chance at a good career hook me up with a unit lol. I was injured sandblasting the interior of a water tower 11 years ago, 7 surgeries later and I couldn't handle a blast hose if my life depended on it. Certainly difficult getting by when all your skills require more physical labor than you can handle. I would love to get back to my roots. Sandblasting on a big scale is beyond my physical capacity, this system however I could handle easily. Now if they just didn't cost more than my house, many times over, maybe I could afford to get back into doing what I miss and love.

Very satisfying
Very impressive !
it's so sci fi and i love every bit
As a home mechanic, cleaning parts are my most hated part. This is awesome. Im guessing only for steel/iron.
My understanding is that it will work on most oxides. So aluminium and copper would also work. Even oxidation on stones and timber probably.
Looks like a pressure washer on mildew concrete great video
what wavelength is it and what are the ocular hazards?
Holy shit. Aliens have taken over the mechanics.
What wonderful invention!!
Very cool but I think a vaporblaster will give a better result in this scenario.
Even driving with small amount or water injection will clean off carbon real good .
Wonderfull! I'm stunned seeing how it works greately!!!
Love to see it on heavy rust like a truck chassis.
Me too
Oh it works, for sure
Вот так из старых запчастей получаются новые )))
Will that laser damage flesh? I heard some people say it will, and some say it wont. Love to see how it cleans metal.
Depends on how long you are exposing skin to the beam but in general: Yes... yes it will.
@@LaserPhotonics Ok. Thank you.
My eyes feel odd now.
That excessive heat is ok? Especially for aluminum engine head.
I work with medical lasers and I imagine that this functions about the same as my co2 skin laser. Since it's vaporizing the rust/debris/gunk instantaneously, a lot of the heat goes with the dirt.
This is also why a tattoo removal laser will vaporize the ink but leave the skin underneath mostly intact. Each wavelength of laser has a specific chromophore (thing that the laser is attracted most readily to) and a tattoo removal laser's chromophore is the ink. The ink absorbs most of the laser energy and is instantly vaporized but since the underlying skin didn't absorb much energy it's ok for the most part
Looks like one of them funky ass Volvo Penta heads. 1 head per cylinder.
I love motorcycle stuff and this one is satisfying🤤😍
I'd like to have this tool to get rid of rust from tie rods and suspension arms...
Will it be possible to clean vw 2.0 tsi direct injection carbon built-up without having to remove the cylinder head?
One of the benefits of laser-blasting is that it doesn't use media like sandblasting or other cleaning alternatives. So the answer is probably yes, BUT... we'd recommend that you submit specific inquiries like this to our Applications Lab:
www.laserphotonics.com/test-lab
It will melt metal resulting in rough surface?
Thank a physicist when you get a chance especially for the lasers at the groceries store's cash registers.
No,thank.. yoda!..
Who knew that a laser could give you emphysema, lol.
What?! This is alien tech right here.
Can the chinese hurry up and mass produce these for like 20 bux a pop?
Can I use it on my teeth?
What if you point it at the moon? Clean moon?
Big brain moment
Make one of these on a borescope and you'd be able to decarbon valves on an engine without the russian roulette of snake oil.
Could this be used to de rust the inside of a motorcycle gas tank that has an epoxy lining which has failed? Without it going Boom! Thanks.
Potentially, but as a general rule... don't experiment with explosive materials and lasers. Do you clean these tanks on a regular basis?
I need to clean my pubic PLZZ lemme know a yearly package...!!
Holy mother of carbon on the valve seats. I sure hope the valves were removed and cleaned.
this is 3Series Jenbacher cylinder head...
If I purchased one, can this be a source of extra income on the side? Would people want this done ?
It kinda looks like it alters the surface a very tiny bit.
He focused on that one valve too much at the end and created slag. Ended up with tiny bubbles of metal
That was valve seat material from the burnt valve being removed it was already slag before the lazer
Damn.....I got BAMBOOZLED HARD.
Wow, those valve seats 😮
How much does it cost one of those in the USA?
I’m all about buying USA made products. But these fools quoted me 200k for this machine. Good luck on selling many of them. Great technology, but not at that price.
Can I just use Oxi-Clean? Asking for a friend.
Just out of curiosity is it expensive to do this for an entire engine ??
Almost as good as my 50 year old rotating wire wheel brush
@@UKUSA it's a bit more precise though, isn't it?
Grinder on a cylinder head, you sound like a genius.
@@UKUSA i'm gonna be honest, i don't know. i guess for any kind of chemical treatment you would need to separate every different material, therefore needing to conpletely take the engine apart.
but again, i have no clue.
Yeah, not as good. Your 50 year tool removes material vs the laser
@@UKUSA DOT3 brake fluid would do the job also
Good bye valve seats😂😂😂
Can this clean corrosion off of parts made of ZAMAK?
Does this work on oil stains in concrete?
don't think so.
Yup, but would be expensive for large areas. Check out the video front media did for don't more cost effective suggestions
Amazing 👍👍
Thank you! Cheers!
What is the power and price?
It has 2 kilowatts of cleaning power... they are custom built to order so the price depends on how you configure it with our applications lab!
Инопланетяне: всё, в айфоны наигрались, в небо стали посматривать? Нате вам лазер, играйте дальше😄
I assume if you wanted to do something like cleaning up a lower control arm, you would have to remove it from the vehicle, otherwise it would cause electrical issues.
I used diesel and a brass brush + shop rags and a vaccuum
This is way too expensive for the individual tinkerer or hobbyist (unless you have 3 or 4 Ferraris parked in your 10 car garage), but for the machine shop or restoration center it has a thousand uses.
It's called harbor freight ultrasonic cleaner or brake cleaner and wire wheel...
Which is less efficient and effective
very good very nice and good thanks for you
Wow amazing work
Will it take tattoos off?
Congratulations
Is it normal to have the laser voltage up so high it get hot enough to melt the intake valve and both valve seats
No. This was an old engine that a client sent in for our engineers to demonstrate the maximum cleaning power our systems were capable of... while it is worth noting that the operator was a laser physicist and not a mechanic... this laser's cleaning power output can be adjusted to make a much more mild attack on a target substrate.
@@LaserPhotonicsI have a engine remanufacter shop and I would like to know how do you clean the inside of the engine. if it's been cracked or the water jackets if rusted,do you have a machine for that because it would be easier than chemical washing.
I am interested in the price
This is not a cylinder
Ever try to clean blackened oil engine?
The oil? No. Engines stained by oil? Plenty.
I wonder if this can prolong the life of engines if you just clean the pistons overy 50 thousand miles or so. For diesel engines it will be even better as they produce much more gunk
It doesn't produce any damage/erosion to the head? How would you compare this to sandblasting.
Exactly! Our lasers allow users to configure the ablation rate to cater towards the base material. As far as your second question, there are plenty of reasons manufacturers are switching from sandblasting to laser cleaning, and, we actually wrote a comparison of the two on our blog!
www.laserphotonics.com/pros-cons-laser-cleaning-and-abrasive-blasting-surface-preparation
Great machine this really is.
Cleaning cylinder head with Bifrost
Did it work after reinstalling
What's that white thing that refuses to be cleaned?
Cool as, I did a double take on that one.
What is the price of this tool
Can it work for targets/parts submerged in different liquid (solvent/water/detergent/non neutral ph) (stationary or continuous flow)media for very fine/sensitive parts?
Yes submerged in water we have a lot of success with removing debris but we would have to know what sensitive part is made of to accurately define if laser cleaning is the best solution. I would love to contact you to an sales engineer to talk about you specific laser cleaning needs. You can either visit our website at www.LaserPhotonics.com and use the RED CHAT box (bottom right) to talk to an expert. Or you can put in a contact form at www.laserphotonics.com/contact and we will have a sales engineer reach out to you. Thank you and have a great day!
Looks like the ghostbuster gun
Not a ghost buster; a laser blaster!
I need this job!!!
I know this device is probably connect to a larger base device but feasible is it to weaponise this?
that's for us to know and you to find out.
После этой обработки можно головку выкидывать или фрезировать по новой
Hey would it be cool if I borrowed this just for the weekend?
If you take the valves out of the head how does it work in the ports under the valves ?
Our favorite line is if you can see it, you can clean it. You can request more info from our applications lab if you have an specific questions. www.laserphotonics.com/test-lab
You could see on the values the inconsistent in castings
How about radiations?
Does the person using it and the person standing right beside him dies the next day?
No... these lasers can actually be used to neutralize nuclear contamination.www.laserphotonics.com/systems-for-the-nuclear-industry
price ?
is this based on co2 laser ?
The future is now old man!
Indeed, it is!
This is the laser that was used in War of the Worlds
Tom Cruise is afraid of us for a reason!
What things can this work on is it just metallic items or could it for example get mud and crap off the underside of a car? Does it damage any materials like plastic or rubber etc? Most importantly where can I hire one for a week in the UK 😂
We can mount different laser heads on this system (e.g. CO2 and Fiber) that are suited for work with different materials (like organics or metallics). We often configure custom-built systems to meet the individual needs of our customers! Does that answer your question?
Battling to remove carbon build up on the valves
