- A grisly medieval plague of holy fire. An experiment gone wrong. And…the CIA? All of these unlikely elements weave together in the story of accidental discovery that gave us LSD. Plus, how scientists today are studying how psychedelics could be used to treat mental illnesses like depression, addiction, OCD, and more.

please do not eat moldy bread or moldy anything unless you know what kind of fungus made it moldy. i’m sure it’s possible that year-old slice of bread in the back of the cabinet could make you high but it is much more likely to give you food poisoning than anything else.
very good advice! mould could produce methanol and put you 6 feet under!
Special note to all ruzzians.. ignore what we wrote about the risks, go ahead and eat them mouldy taters and do go belly up!! :))
Yes. Black mold is poisonous.
Ergot itself is also very poisonous

LSD has been a major tool for me in managing and beginning to recover from combat PTSD. Spent a decade on pill cocktails from the VA before I was introduced to L, threw out all the pills after 3rd therapeutic use of L. 8 years later majority of the secondary issues of PTSD (depression, dissociation, isolating myself, BPD) are non existent.
These days I microdose 10-20mcg a 1-2 times a week to manage anxiety, sleep disorder a couple other minor issues that weren't super noticeable before my major symptoms were controlled.
I would like to experience joy.
I manage the residual stress of combat trauma (13F, Sadr City in 2003-2004, Taji 2004-2006) by reading philosophy 2ish hours a morning and regular exercise, good eating choices and an admittedly healthy amount of alcohol. I’m glad LSD works for you bud, I simply don’t have access nor the time away from my child to make that possible for me but my way is working so far.

before anyone tries to eat moldy bread for a high, be aware that the side effects of unprocessed ergot can lead to amputations, simply not worth it
It’d be pretty hard work to get hold of ergot bread these days in most industrialised country’s. You’d literally have to grow the wheat or barley yourself, under conditions that ergot likes growing in. And then happen to have ergot invade your crop. Then harvest your crop, dry the grains, grind them into flour and bake with them. That’s not something anyone’s going to do on the spur of the moment without a great deal of research. On the other hand, just eating bread that’s gone mouldy will probably make you very sick too, and won’t even have a chance of giving you a trip. So definitely don’t do that either
Ergot wont grow on bread. Its a parasitic fungus it needs a living rye plant to grow.
"Free your mind, and your arm will follow." 😂
Ergot infects rye in the field, on the grains themselves, well before it is ever made into bread and does not grow on bread.
This is a fascinating topic that is unfortunately rife with misinformation and mythology.

Ironically LSD-25 is one of the best migraine treatments for Cluster Headaches, so he actually did succeed in finding a migraine medicine. As shown in Sewell's studies roughly 80% of LSD participants experienced remission of their migraines.
As someone who suffers from these and other types of migraines, that's useful information. I wish the medical establishment was more embracing of non-traditional pharmacopeia.
@erinmac4750 I also have cluster headaches. Psychedelic medicines gave me my life back
Even Ergotamine was an awesome med to manage my migraines, but it was pulled from the market over a decade ago even though it was NOT psychoactive! It’s synthesized from the same exact stuff, ergot. NOTHING has come close to managing my migraines since it was taken off the market and my migraines have only worsened. Perhaps they were worried about it being a precursor, but that doesn’t make sense being that it was Rx only and the vast amount of ergot that it would take to synthesize just one psychoactive dose!
I used to take Cafergot for my migraines, but this was years ago, possibly decades ago. It worked but not as well as the Imigran I take nowadays. I must ask my GP for some acid 😅

When I was a young teenager… I was extremely hateful, angry, and no self esteem. I even planned a shooting, I hated my classmates that much and the world. Then I did mushrooms at 15 years old and it changed my ENTIRE life. I felt one with the universe and everything in it. I realized everyone is special and that life is a beautiful gift. It immediately broke me down and put me into check. 15 years later and I’ve done psychedelics many, many times and they have only made me a more loving and grounded human. What a beautiful gift these medicines are. It’s a shame the state wants to tell people what they can and can’t use for their mental and spiritual health. Lsd saved my life.
It saved me twice now, but pretty sure its done. I haven't tripped for 1,5 years now and don't even microdose anymore.
Had a completely and longlasting traumatic childhood with many forms of abuse and became an orphan early in life on top of a lot of other stuff. Lsd has helped me completely overcome a many years long extreme anxiety disorder, workthrough my complex traumas, fix a fragile ego and many insecurities. It even taught me to cope with the overwhelm that is life, adhd, minor brain dmg, dealing with chronic pain and other mental health disorders. For the first time I'm commiting to actual healthy relationships, feeling like myself, dare to be authentic, took of my mask, able to enjoy life, laugh, feel incredibly appreciative and sometimes even happy!
For the longest time I could not for the life of me even imagine life could be this way, while I was deeply depressed and in survival mode for over 20 years.

I think the medical field (and of course, those that profit from it) is so corrupt and filled with hubris. Treatment-resistant depression is a failure to respond to 2 meds. And not responding just 2 meds can bar you from being studied in antidepressant studies. Even the name of it, ah yes the depression aren't responding to this fool-proof medication with a 30-40% after placebo success rate. Must be something you're doing wrong.
As someone with Bipolar I it is so frustrating that someone with my diagnosis is automatically excluded from all forms of psychedelic therapy. I believe it would be so incredibly helpful if I could use psychedelics in a controlled therapy setting and I absolutely would if I had the chance. I have used psychedelics recreationally without negative side effects. I understand why they would not want anyone with a history of psychosis to use them, but although psychosis is a possible symptom of Bipolar disorder it is not present in all cases. I feel that if someone has no history of psychosis and have used psychedelics in the past successfully they should at least be considered on a case by case basis. I hope that in the future they will reconsider and allow greater access to this crucial therapy.
Just get some from a drug dealer fuck the doctors 😂
I have a friend who has done mushrooms (with a tripsitter) to heal. It's not the same as with a professional though. I wish professional psychedelic therapy was normal.
In the meantime, you can use psychedelics therapeutically by yourself. Thousands of people already have and are doing it right now, me among them. I spoke about it to my doctor, psychotherapist as well as social worker, they help me navigate and integrate the psychedelic experiences. If you are already followed by professionals, speak to them about it and if you can source it yourself ( and test it for its contents, there are reagents for that availlable for sale online, erlich and hofmann are the primary ones ) then you can do it safely until MindMed ( MM120, 100 micrograms lysergic tartrate ) and other companies finish their trials so it becomes prescribable. Ergot ≠ mold. It is its own species of fungus entirely more closely related to cordyceps, the fungus that infects insects and turns them in to "zombies", then normal bread mold. The people who made this video clearly arent mycologists and should not speak as if they are an authority on the subject.
Indeed, I was confused about that, too, and waiting for the connection with mouldy bread until I realised that they seriously meant Ergot with "mould". I just hope noone tries having a trip by eating actual mould now (on French cheese it's mostly harmless though).
I was looking for this. Ergot on the grain that was baked into the bread is different than the mold that comes from spores floating through the air or on people's hands.
@@MuusTricompletely harmless, not a lot of pathogens grow well in firm cheeses.
@squid1712, ergot is a product of a particular fungal group. I’ll watch again, my brain may have filled in that missing piece. I don’t remember the video saying Ergot = mold.
I thought that it specifically infects rye crops and those insects that fed off the grain would experience such zombie-like effects. Obviously, this is before baking or even harvesting. Rye bread does not magically get moldy with ergot. Weird.
Never been a fan of drugs but I do believe countries should have a lot more relaxed approach to people using them because let's be real, if someone wants to use a certain drug they will find it one way or another.
and better that they have, relatively, safe ways of approaching them instead of some shady person/group with questionable motives. Though the same could be said about "the government", I trust them more than the local dealer and his cohorts.
Definitely. It’s just our damn choice isn’t it? No government has the right to tell us what we can and can’t put in our bodies. They should simply promote safe practices.
regulated drug use is safer than illegal drug use
LSD is chemically made by man and is somewhat harsh. This is made into a drug by man- the aspect of this influence comes from mushies and nature. This experience with true medicine heals. The whole experience is not something someone gets addicted to or uses to run away from their problems. It makes people face them. It is deeply healing.

I tried LSD in my early 20s when I lived in the Netherlands during the 90s. I was living in a rural environment and this helped because it can be overwhelming in a crazy urban environment when you take it. It was an experience that is hard wired into my head ever since. I had good trips, felt one with the universe and saw pure psychedelic imagery or more so surrealist images. Never had a bad come down in fact BUT it's not for everyone and you must not let yourself completely go when you take it, you need a modicum of self control. It can be dangerous. It also seems counterproductive to limit someones experience by having their focus be solely inwards. There is so much to learn from the world outside of us as well. There needs to be more inclusion of those who have used psychedelics for centuries to understand themselves and the universe, like the indigenous cultures mentioned in the video. Psychedelics can benefit anyone, and they have the potential to make the world a better place than it is right now.

The cleanest acid I ever used was from a Jerry Garcia show in Albany back in the 90s. You could actually sleep and trip. Hawkwind from across the pond actually had a little psychedelic corner on the concert ticket until it became criminal.
I support the idea of using these drugs for medical purposes, and maybe for recreational uses too. but when it comes to addiction, we should all be taught early that addiction is a part of the human experience, and the challenge is finding a healthy combination of foods, drinks, experiences, and maybe substances, that we become attached to.
It's a struggle starting life without knowing this, because now we have to work with the things that we became addicted to before we could consider the impacts on our health.
lsd is not addictive. quite the opposite actually. it's such an intense, exhausting experience, that once it's over you will not want to do it again any time soon. and if you still tried to do it, you wouldn't feel much at all because it causes rapid tolerance that lasts for a week or so.

I got a very similar pair from Zenni online eyeglasses. My frames are a very similar design with the same colour-scheme. Only real difference in mine is there are subtle, embossed patterns along the top of the frames & on the arms. The were less than a hundred bucks for frames & lenses (bifocal).
Mushrooms saved me from a 15 year depressive episode and gave me the foot up I needed to actually break the chains. I will forever be grateful for that and I hope these substances can be used to help others as well. In my eyes mushrooms are sacred and holy, they come from nature and are absolutely so healing. Before I did them I had no hope that I would ever be able to break free from my depression and I still struggle with it from time to time (I haven’t done them in over 10+ years) but I actually have good days and bad days…and I can overcome my depression whereas in the past it was every single day without end. I had tried many different anti-depressants and they never helped, my depression was treatment resistant. Therapy didn’t help, medications didn’t help..but mushrooms did. I feel blessed. ❤
I'm so jealous. I've been in hell for 60 years and I'm giving up how of ever getting better. Too bad there isn't a natural substsnce that couldn't be sued if it killed me. Oh, there is one? Oh. It's illegal. Shock.
@@Chloe7270 Fun fact, the spores are not illegal to own and study for mycology purposes. :) if you know u know.
In all seriousness though, if you ever find yourself in a situation like that make certain that you get a close friend or family member you trust to just be present. And make sure your house is extremely clean with your favorite snacks and drinks, maybe a space that feels the comfiest to you. A bedroom with carpet and a bunch of soft pillows and blankets is my go to. Hoping the best for you, proud of you for sticking around as long as you have. You are strong and beautiful.
This is such a well done episode. The production, the clever segues, the presentation and content- the tops!
Another great episode in an excellent series. Thank you.
Amazing video.
I'd just like to point out a tiny mistake. The isomer of LSD shown in 8:27 is not the psychoactive isomer. Out of 4 stereoisomers, only (+) is binding to the receptors.
According to a post, two of them are just weaker than proper LSD (one is _much_ weaker):
LSD has two chiral centres, on the 5' and 8' carbons. I drew all the stereoisomers of LSD to show you which are which. (5R,8R)-LSD is what's active. (5S,8S)-LSD has around 2,500-fold lower affinity for the 5-HT2AR than d-LSD. (5R,8S)-LSD has around 25-fold lower affinity (source). The LSD we know is d-LSD. The 8' position can readily epimerise, though, turning d-LSD into (5R,8S)-LSD. This is one of the ways LSD loses potency. (u/heteromer)
@@jayhughes3843 1. Thank u for putting the original poster out there.
I checked their post... their source seems to be locked behind some paywall I suppose, but I've found a similiar source to his, if not even the same one, on a different page.
And yeah, all that is true according to a study from 1976... In rats.
The result could transfer to humans. Or it could not... Suppose more research is needed.
07:39 Is this the same Professor Nutt who was the subject of the legendary Guardian newspaper headline, "Government drug adviser David Nutt sacked"?
Indeed it is, and how good it was to see him looking so well and still championing saner drug policy.
Wait okay but Ergot is a fungal growth on the grain pre-bread.. moldy bread and mushroomy raw grain are simply not the same things
Tall Fescue has a similar psychedelic fungi growing in it.
I love PBS making videos on psychedelics!
i thought the title said molly bread lol

Clickbait
All of us did 😂
I love her glasses
No way I could have a good experience in a clinical environment. I can't even stand being indoors when I'm tripping. Outside is where it's at.
Psychedelics show different perspectives, more ways of experiencing reality. They reveal choice and illustrate that reality changes with perspectives.
Ive only had mushrooms once and i have to say this first i had a horrible trip and bad experience. But with that being said it was helpful! even though it was horrible. 😂 Lol thanks to anyone who took the time to read this
I did mushrooms several times, and it was awesome. Only one time turned on me BAD….but it’s because I wasn’t with the right people. 👀 That bad trip didn’t turn me off from the shrooms….it turned me off from my selfish ass “friends”. 😂 The mushrooms showed me to the truth, and I stand by that to this very day.😁

Beautiful video, I was expecting some mention about salvia divinorum but I suppose it needs a full video as very unique.
This might be the best PBS video ever!!!! Definitely my favorite 😄
I really dislike it when people say things to the effect (talking about the brain), "where we do the things that really only humans can, which is this high-level conceptual thinking, planning, anticipating, understanding." It really undermines the fact that there are a lot of things out there that are, in fact, very intelligent and potentially much more intelligent than us. like, we're often not even past being arrogant yet. 😂
Sure, but they don't drop acid.
No, not acid, puffer fish. Dolphins play hot potato with puffer fish and get a mind altering experience. And wallabies like poppy fields. Cats and cat nip, big horn sheep trip on lichen. All kinds of animals are game for a mind altering experience. @gruenokgallu3609
I’m intrigued. What is potentially much more intelligent than humans?
Yea, but only humans are intelligent enough to be arrogant, so that's what makes us superior
@@gruenokgallu3609lots of animals do drugs, "trip acid" and get drunk on purpose though. Some animals even make their own.
I wish that had been more honest and said that mold on wheat not mold on bread This is a huge clickbait title

It's Maren Hunsberger from The SciShow RUclips. Glad you're BACK on. Even better that you're on PBS.
It's interesting how I'm planning a trip this month and I got recommended this this evening; although it's not LSD, it's usually LSA which is similar in molecular structure. LSD and LSA are very useful tools for us personally, especially with getting out of thought loops onset by depression or anxiety. I wish it wasn't scheduled so high so researchers could do what they have to for the benefit of others, though saying that, I still think either should be regulated; they're not for everyone.
If it wasn't for Lucy, I don't think we'd still be here honestly.
“A substance very closely related to LSD, the monoethylamide of lysergic acid (LAE-32), in which an _ethyl_ group is replaced by a hydrogen atom on the diethylamide residue of LSD, proved to be some _ten times_ less psychoactive than LSD. The hallucinogenic effect is also qualitatively different: it is characterized by a narcotic component. This narcotic effect is yet more pronounced in lysergic acid amide (LA-111), in which _both_ ethyl groups of LSD are displaced by hydrogen atoms. These effects, which I established in comparative self-experiments with LA-111 and LAE-32, were corroborated by subsequent clinical investigations.”

Your ancestors knew about this before they were conquered by religions
They were not "conquered by religions." They had their own religions. Every native people, first nation, aboriginal culture, had or has its own religion. Some powerful nations have imposed their religions on other nations, while conquering them for territories and resources - often violating their own religious tenets.
Would you like to live in a place/time where a father could legally sell their children into slavery, or kill them?
That's Rome for you. Pater familias.
Would you be willing to sacrifice any of your children to the gods you believe in?
That's the Inca for you. Niño del Cerro El Plomo.
And so on. Every culture has done terrible things in the name of their religions, and great things too.
Read some history. Not everybody had ancestors who used psychedelics.
@@MariaMartinez-researcher That's nitpicky but sure, "conquered by christianity" is more accurate
I keep hearing people talk about these studies and their benefits but then it's put in front of the FDA and they say there is no benefit. Where's the disconnect?
I think some of the main concerns is that each participant knows they're getting the drug so there can't be a proper placebo trial and most studies use participants that have already used LSD (or MDMA) recreationally so already have a "I can handle the trip" bias.
There's also alot of money going on in medical industry.
You still listen to the FDA - that's part of the problem. When food and drugs are controlled together there's an issue, they're laying in the same bed. They want it to work for them and not us. If they cant control it properly they call it bad and ban it. Berkey water anyone ?..
Poor study design can mean the study won't be able to pick up a real effect even if it does exist. It's such a shame that that recent one was such a mess. I bet it's going to make it even harder to fund and do a real solid study.
@@rosalie.e.morgan I didn't hear about anything like that happening. Though I have heard of issues with research and studies happening because there is so much emphasis on publishing and money involved.
I also know these studies are hard to get into. IMO they're to small and too restrictive. Also they come up with some weird criteria. Some want experience with certain meds or treatments for certain periods of time. Others want the person to essentially go cold turkey before actually participating in the study, meaning that they have to suffer full symptoms w/o mitigation, which most people can't do for a number of reasons.
These therapies and other treatments still being researched should be more accessible to people with chronic, debilitating conditions. It would help society and medical research...not all research has to be traditional double blind large scale studies.
@@VVabsaIf they can't make a banging profit off of whatever it is, they're not interested.
An adorable and informative video! Can't beat that! Thanks!
if you were trippin while you gave this presentation and interview, congratulations, you pass the test
I was depressed for over 20 years and within a year of gaining unlimited access to LSD and DMT, my depression was completely gone.....
As a counterpoint, I had no depression or anxiety, then had a massively bad trip on tested pure LSD that altered the way I think and now have both.
Psychedelics can do massive benefit AND harm, it's not as simple as most put it.
@jacobwatson3063 That sucks. Id imagine what likely happened is you already had these problems, but the trip broke down the coping mechanisms you were using to deal with it. Thats a possible negative side effect. But you can't heal if you cant feel. There are deeper reasons you are feeling these emotions, LSD just made it where you can't hide from it anymore.
@@jacobwatson3063 Or course, Im just making an assumption from my personal experiences, maybe its all just because of the trip.
It’s important we decolonize use of therapeutic psychedelics and follow ancestral indigenous guidance if we want true and lasting healing
Thank you sooo much for a very entertaining and educational video. ❤❤❤
I research all this stuff AFTER I took my first trip back in the 80s but I like your presentation.
I've done acid dozens of times. As far as festival drugs go it's right at the top. Never had a bad trip. I have serious reservations that dosing and spending 12 hours strapped to a bed in a clinic would be the way to do it, though. I'd rather tell someone to take a dozen hits and spend five days camping at some festival fully enmeshed in a social environment laughing it up with friends all weekend. That's where the psychological benefits of the drug really shine through (i.e., the social environment, not any one festival specifically lol.)
I totally agree. The though of being in a room w a therapist ruins every aspect of fun and self work. I find that thought terrifying. Would much rather be running around a music fest with friends or even hanging out in a tent at a music fest. Man made the experience terrible once again.
How to get 😅
@@theflaggeddragon9472 a friend of a friend. or nowadays social media or dark web
Just the thought of a therapist "observing" and jotting down notes would be horrifying. These medical professionals ruin everything.
I love watching old shots of white women, specifically in the 1940s,50s, 60s, and laugh at how wrong their opinions about life or music or culture or racism. Bless their hearts they were certain their way of behaving was best for All. 😂
not just women, men were far more controlling since the patriarchy was still pretty much in full force in those decades. the problem with womens rights and roles STILL hasn't gone away for some knuckle-draggers.
This episode was super insightful. I actually learned a lot from it. I love David Nut's interview and the last part with the LSD therapy process. it is so sad that in USA is still not legal, I am curious to maybe try it one day.
Aside from your content being interesting. I’m in love with the editing of this video
It is very disappointing that Sara Reed needed to bring it all back to some sort racism issue. This is ridiculous. Many of us participated in our own studies back in the day, and there were people of all races, genders and persuasion welcome and participatory. I believe we have gone backward in time and thought process in the the last 60 years. Time was when it was about loving your brother. Maybe that's what we need to work on.
I think you're taking her comments the wrong way friend. You can't really compare how things used to be during the height of the freedom movement to how things are now. It's not like she said everyone everywhere is being racist, she was saying she's seen where a few select trip facilitation people were being unexpectedly racist or homophobic or transphobic, etc to their clients while they were in a vulnerable state. She was just calling attention to the fact that some mal-actors are out there so that people know it's possible to run into them, nothing more.
Omg they circled this around into a Diversity videa.... wtf
I love you folks at pbs... awesome work.
Guides LMAO, Yeah back in the day I was a "GUIDE" . We ran around screaming waving our arms, shining flashlights, setting off firecrackers, and telling people that there were giant spider police looking in the window
Cringiest thing I've seen all year. Come on PBS.
Honestly, I’ve got to say, DEI lady seems like she would ruin any tripping experience with her hypersensitivity.
If you can’t relax when tripping, when can you relax?
Only racists have an issue with DEI. Being aware of, & sensitive to, how cultural things affect others is simple empathy, man.
and she wasn't talking about the people tripping being bigoted, she was talking about the instructors. would you like it if when you go to trip someone harshes your vibe by bringing up awful shit for no reason? that's what she was saying.
@@DrachenGothik666 Did I say I had a problem with DEI?
The answer is: no.
@@oxoniumgirl Right. She also talked about it being inadvertent.
My point is that she is a bummer. If tripping is about being hypersensitive about race rather than seeing, feeling and hearing your surroundings (including people) then you are just a drag. She would harsh my vibe.
@@oxoniumgirl You see, she is talking about subtext. And I understand that. I'm well-versed in white people subtext. But, the subtext also has a context. Is that person a "racist" or are they someone who is careless with their words? Maybe it's unclear but, generally, the context including their body language, tone, and other visual and audible cues tell you pretty intuitively who you're dealing with.
But, and this is kind of my point, she to a lesser and you to a much greater degree act as though a klansman is the instructor.
If you are tone deaf about what has been said (and, again, she didn't act as if she was talking about racial slurs, for instance) and overreact to what could be an innocent mistake, then you are Ms. Buzzkill.
In addition, you make it sound as if you do want to overreact. You're looking for your moment in the sun. You want that confrontation. You desire the chance to attack (or counterattack).
If that's your attitude, then you harshed your own trip before you even got started.
Luckily for the Swiss professor there was not much traffic back then.
This was seriously fantastic, really well edited, perfectly flows not boring, great humor 7/5 stars
one drawback tho... now i wanna do LSD :)
They should have their testing outside in a natural setting like a backyard with trees and nice landscaping.
i like the way you present , upbeat is the word that came up

Amazingly done. 🌠
to undergo such an experience secluded in such a room as that would be awful
A new video. What a treat! 🤗
I remember when I did it, I didn't hallucinate but I felt super good. Every thing seemed more real, but I also felt slower in my reactions and felt a bit impaired. I wouldn't recommend doing this more than once.
lol why not, my first was the worst thing ive ever gone thru...didnt stop me from doing it thousands more times tho, dont be a puss
I've been on over 100 psychedelic trips. I knew after the first time I tripped that these substances would be with me the rest of my life. I'm very thankful I took that first step.
ofc the psychadelic researchers are extremely chill
I had a pretty crappy childhood. Thus, I have a certain disposition that may be less than optimal. :) 2 years ago, I broke my femur in 4 places in a mtn bike accident, screamed for a while while folks called 911, extremely painful. The paramedics gave me liquid ketamine and I had my first trip. I felt emotionally amazing for a week or so, it really shifted what I saw as my potential in life...to be happy.. I'm now seeking it out as a form of therapy. One of my Drs has a wife that goes once a month and it really helps her in his opinion .
Ah, so that was what I was experiencing when eating week old bread. 😅
It's so much better in nature! Outside, on the beach, hiking up a mountain, traversing jungles, etc. Indoors always tend to drag towards a bad trip, at least for me.
Snorkeling on LSD felt like I was in space studying aliens. Building sand castles on the beach I felt like a giant god of some sort, building cities for little people who would come and live there.

I've been there and done that. Growing up in the 80's the street equivalent to this was widely available. Frustrated with the limited effect of anti-anxiety, and depression medications? I've been there too. Curious if TRIPPING will help you? Rewatch this video and pay close attention to Sara Reed's micro-expressions, Joy, euphoria, and happiness. She avoids talking in-depth about people who have "Bad Trips" waking superconscious nightmares that some people never come back from. Pay close attention to the fact that this is still ongoing research, and they don't know how it works after more than 60 years. If you ask me, and I know you didn't. The next time you have a problem with your cell phone, turn it on, put in a bucket of salt water, and when it drys out I guarantee it will work differently.
