How to remove rust from porcelain tiles using acidic toilet bowl cleaner. DO NOT use this for marble, travertine, or any other tile that can be damaged by acid.
I love 💕 getting these tips…thanx, I’ve put more effort into actual CLEANING 🧽 our home 🏡 this year than any other time in around 20 years…🤦♀️ …so thanx again for the inspiration! It’s hard to solve some jobs, then I put it off until I see a brilliant video like this! I must admit I’m having trouble removing a shaving 🪒 foam can rust ring on our laminate vanity basin! I’ve tried cream powder, lemon 🍋 juice, bleach soak and vinegar…but it’s still there!! Stubborn little sucker! 🤣😜
@@CleaningHowTo I left it for 45 minutes and it faded! So now I’ll let it soak for a few hours! It’s 11:00pm in Australia 🇦🇺 right now. I’ve set my alarm for 3:00am which is when I let my dog out for his business each night…I’ll check on the ‘rest of the rust’ and let you know in the morning! Have a great day! 🤗
Okay…s’meeee🤗 I’m back with the “tea”! The rust rings are still barely noticeable, but you have to really search 🔍👀 I also tried to soak a ‘fake tan’ spot/stain but nothing happened at all! I’ll try again! My Toilet 🚽 Duck cleaner is lighter in colour than yours and even though it says EXTRA STRENGTH, I think 🤔 I’m going to need something INDUSTRIAL strength for our toilet as years of tank water have stained the bottom of the bowl…. In the past I’ve taken out all the water and put/tried different methods with NO results! 🙆♀️🤦♀️ 1. Vinegar 2. Vinegar & Bleach together 3. Bicarbonate of soda and scrub 4. Scraper did nothing as stain seems to be set into the porcelain. 5. Today I will try using the Toilet Duck but let it soak and sit for as long as possible then try scrubbing it away. 😅For about 20 years now we’ve lived here, in the bush, on tank water, wood fire water heating jacket and a dirt road! As much as we’re happily living the dream, it’s such a challenge to keep things clean! (that rhymes) 😂👍

Vinegar and bleach make mustard gas!! Try the hydrochloric acid toilet bowl cleaner on it! As for the fake tan; that’s a dye; try a solvent :)
In your description I think you meant to say…’ that *can be damaged by acid.’ 🤗👍
Whoops! Good spot, thank you :)
