My ex broke up with me 6 months ago over a text. After I attempted to call her that same night (she ghosted), I haven't reached out to her at all since. I loved her with all my heart and always put her first, but during these months of NC, I realized the relationship was unbalanced and she did not reciprocate the same efforts in the relationship. Months ago, I would have done anything to get her back - now, I don't even know if I want her back. Listen to Coach and work on yourself because you'll realize that you deserve better.

I'm so sorry that happened to you. Your story sounds almost identical to mine. Breakup texts hurt like nothing else. You think you're going to see them again or hear their voice again until you receive that dreaded text. Then, you're left confused, angry, depressed, disappointed, in denial, and blindsided that it happened so quickly. I'm still hurting over my ex but keep going at it and keep reaching new heights. Your dating life will benefit immensely from it.

Mine dumped me over text seven months ago. Two months in no contact, I wished happy birthday, she replied thank you. It has been 5 months since with NC. I don't expect to hear from her again. We had a very good relationship but I don't think she was ready for us to progress further than what we were. We were together 2.5 years, our children met, we met each others family. It became "too much" for her.
Mine ex broke up with me by text and ghosted me, but moved in a coworker she monkey branched to. That has been a year ago, I went radio silent and don't care if I ever see her again!

It works! 80 days of no contact and I got a direct indirect text asking about her weed eater. Something that she could easily fix or have a neighbor fix. She asked if I could come over and fix it for her. She also wished me an early happy birthday. I went the next day and fixed her weed trimmer and we caught up. I kept it short and polite. We hugged at the end. I'm back in no contact and hope she reaches out again soon. Thanks Craig! I'm going about my life again without her until she misses me again.
I don’t even know if I want my ex back, but still sometimes I miss him so much, I can barely breathe. We loved each other so much, and we were perfect together and perfect for each other, but unfortunately his situation and circumstances with his kids, made a relationship very difficult.

It's been 7 months since NC and I had just about started recovering and lost 20 pounds, gained muscle, work wise I'm a bit directionless but I'll figure that out too. Of late her memories are hitting me hard, I miss her a lot, feels like anhedonia, I've lost interest in everything, which I also think is because I'm lonely, I've no friends so zero interaction with people. I want to come out of this soon. I want to find the person I was before the relationship. I still love her though.
You're doing really well. I can sympathise with the loneliness. We have to look within to address that though and have the ability to be enough in ourselves. It is only then that others will see our true value. Keep going. Get out there meet people do things you enjoy. Being sedentary fuels anhedonia so do something good for yourself each day. I am really confident that you'll do really well based on how far you have come so far.

I saw someone that looked a lot like my ex walking away from my address when I was driving home today, honestly it shook me up and freaked me out quite a lot, we broke up 5 months ago, been in NC for 4 months straight, I hope it wasn't her, maybe I'm just seeing phantoms... you could say The Phantom Menace! haha!
But I do still miss her, so unless she is dating someone "better" than me, she probably misses me too.
I’m with u since the beginning
6 months of NC LATER, still hurts just as much and very sure she has moved on and I’m happy for her. The pain is real but I’m still trying to do the work for myself, otherwise I have removed myself from almost everything. I’m the exception to the no contact rule and my ex never came back. I try to not think of her but she always creeps into my thoughts and dreams.
Just wanted to give my experience as a NC "long timer."
I've been in NC for 2 years now. It's been hard but very beneficial. I try to focus on my life, needs & goals & keep attending therapy & I read a ton of self-help. I really hope Coach revisits his back-burner idea of a book now that his courses are done & live. Would love to have him in my library. I still think about & love my ex but I'm able to live my life & focus on family, friends & my passion, writing. It's really helped me not only cope with this but create something beautiful, like a pheonix from the proverbial ashes. I'm not yet at the point I want to be before I write to Coach, but someday in the not so distant future I'm going to have a success story for him. It does get a bit easier guys. Use Craig to get you through the worst of it, he & his team (RIP dear Maggie Mea) were such a comfort in dark days.

@@robertanderson2289I would be willing to bet the entire contents of my checking account that we both treated our exes like they were precious crystal. And put up with hell. I ultimately broke it off with him because he pushed me away so far in such a way that if I’d stayed he would’ve lost any respect he ever had for me. I told him I was moving to another country and even changed my LinkedIn to show I’m there. I’m still in the same state but another city. I don’t have social media so he can’t find me but his number isn’t blocked anymore. I doubt I’ll ever see him again
My ex didnt use time and space, she didnt need it as she had been mentally preparing for our break up months before we finished. However during no contact she jumped into a rebound relationship which is now 3 months in. She did reach out to me after 4 weeks NC. Missed me, do i have a GF etc etc. I have never reached out to her it has been her contacing me. It has never been to discuss getting back together. I havent heard anything for over a week now and dont think i will again. NC does work but when they reach out, if its not to discuss sorting out the relationship then its unlikely you will get back together. What i would say is if they are in a rebound or with someone early after the break up its super important you leave that alone and dont get involved. The way i see it is if they want to discuss things then they will let you know. In the meantime and in my opinion its best to remove them from your life and make progress elsehwere.
She broke up with me- she reached out 3 times in 4 months, finally replied after the 3rd text…. Oddly enough, I missed her so much, but when I started responding to her I realized I didn’t miss her anymore. Lol. The connection wasn’t there anymore. I stopped responding altogether. Been a week no contact again. Feels weird, but good.
Been 7 month of NC after several months of casual texting. 2.5yrs out of the relationship. They are the dumper and it was brutal by text. I made all the mistakes you can make until I just stopped contact. They still watch all my stories I post and I don’t post anything to try and trigger them. My ex was a liar and abusive and I have no intention of ever being in the same room with him again. But my brain still tortures me with memories and images and longing. I had an over 5 year relationship end 2 months ago . My x reached out about 4 weeks ago with the I miss you and think about you every day I just don’t think it’s a good idea to talk right now but maybe we can hang out when we’re fully healed . I Haven’t heard a word from her since but I did hear from my x before my most recent x who I haven’t heard from in over 6 years . Crazy how things work even though I didn’t necessarily want to hear from this x. I just really hope I hear from the one I want to be with again
I have interest in this, but my ex is already with someone else, and I feel like its too late. Its been 7 months, since she left.

Yeah same. I've also had an issue with other RUclips coaches (Not Craig) not taking my LDR seriously.
My ex would ignore me so much towards the end.. She slept with multiple men, cheated on me throughout our whole relationship, I forgave her and she kept her affairs going. She even went to the extent to call her ex husband(12 years with him) and tell him to say she’s a good person in front of me. It was very odd to me someone would request that after being caught cheating. I am now trying to pick up the pieces. I ultimately broke up with her because she just went cold, ghosted me after we agreed to fix things. I blocked her and her siblings after being told one of her affair partners separated from his wife to be with my ex but then rejected him. She picked to be with another affair partner. Within weeks they are getting engaged building a home already. I am hurting so bad. I love her with all of my soul…
That's not healthy to love someone who does this let alone doing it to you. Once they cheat, that's it.

In that story Craig was telling, when the dumper said “I was extremely confident you would message me till the month and a half point, where I lost that feeling and started to feel like I would never here from you again”. It made sense when the dumper said that because it’s around the 45 day mark when they (the dumper) starts to feel that separation anxiety. Don’t know if this is dependent on whether the dumper was an avoidant or not, but I’d assume it would be the same. 👍

My ex still wants to be friends because that's how he sees me before our relationship came to be (broken up twice), but he's in a new relationship. Let them go and don’t look back. Put your trust in God, work on yourself and move on. It’s painful and sad, but once they betray you, you will never be able to trust them again.

I haven't seen under any video of a relationship that with no contact get fixed.I don't think no contacts works only if they really love you they will come back otherwise they will not no matter no contact,give time space ecc

Try it out maybe, but focus on how she acts around you during the meet up, whether she’s changed or not. Take it slow and focus on you. Don’t make her a priority
We know that both people can just move on after a breakup. But why is it that the dumpee is able to move on more often, where, the dumper grows more anxious and is more likely to reach out and not move on?
Stages. Dumpees feel worse in beginning & trend better with time. Dumpers feel best in beginning & get worse with time as doubt kicks in.

Most likely. I didn’t get closure until months after we broke up and we’ve talking very little here and there within all that time. She said we fought always (we didn’t) she loves me and misses me but doesn’t desire or want me so go no contact and let them reach out when they want you again

If you let enough time and space, most likely. But expectation breeds disappointment sometimes. Let it go for now and stick to NC.
How to do no contact with mutual social circles, like friends birthdays
Not a whole lot of options. Time to find another group of friends. If the current social circle really cares about you, they'll fill the space and understand.
I have socialised with mutual friends separately on a one to one basis, on the condition they do not speak of me to my ex or reveal any info about my ex. This requires judgement and trust.
No contact just means you don't reach out to the ex. It doesn't mean you can't ever see or bump into them, because that kind of thing happens. But the essence of no contact is that you don't pursue them - you withdraw your attention from them and don't ever make the first move.

My ex and I are back together. We broke up a year ago and got back together after 3 months apart. He said he started missing me because he saw something on TV that reminded him of me. At that point I would have been fine either way. Craig was wrong, he said he wouldn't reach out.
