    7:19 the funniest thing about this, is he's almost right. As opposed to just RV's, It was a lot of dissatisfaction over a complete of luxuries, that westerners took for granted. The PEOPLE wanted the stuff and innovations that capitalism breeds, but an authoritarian government, oppresses. They, at one point, just to prevent riots, had by tons of Levi's Jeans and let the people have them, as an example. Even with the technology in China, for example, it's capabilities are suppressed and the people oppressed and treated like little more than cattle and fodder for the governments whims. China is on verge of total economic and social collapse. The Chinese "communist" Government is corrupt to the core and corrupts everything it touches. Even the people. China has gone form a country of moral people with respect for other, to this pustule of unethical and illegal trade practices and businesses (mostly food related,) that is allowed to produce and sell deadly products, Foods with dangerous industrial chemicals, for flavoring. Baby formula that kills the babies who drink it. Canned pork with ground up card board as filler. The examples go on. Then, the government sinks all of its money, for the next 100 years into projects that never even had a chance of succeeding. Not only have they produced far too much in real estate projects, turns out the corruption has lead to those buildings being death traps as they are now starting to collapse under their own weight. Substandard materials and practices, due to corruption.
    Here's the thing. No country who turns "communist," actually does. They just add the word communist to the name of their government. Communism, true communism, isn't authoritarian. But when the revolts took place, the people in charge were just deceiving the majority and installed themselves into a dictatorship or totalitarianism. Authoritarian, either way. This world has never seen a truly communist government and I don't think there could be a way to make such a system work. True communism leaves no incentive to work nor to excel. It is a delusional ideology that has never been able to be truly put into practice. The authoritarian governments last longer, but in today's world with such a globalized economy and such interconnectivity, even authoritarian governments can't hold their power for long.
    Another truth about authoritarian governments, is that their power is based and resides in, the fanatical ideologically minded. We are seeing a movement in this direction form the shrinking religious sector, in the U.S. They have become a minority, as religious belief fades. Now they are angry that no one wants to buy into their god delusions. Make no mistake, the Jan 6 insurrection was as much about religion as it was about politics. The two are now intertwined. That group was 98%, one of two categories; Hate groups, in which their hatred is still based or at least was originally based in religious BS. Most of that hatred is now hand-me-down hatred. Their grand daddy hated, their pappy hated, so now they hate. No rhyme no reason, just hatred and intolerance based in habit, religious belief and ignorance. The other group of that 98% nd the group that made up most of those who were less violent, but cheered the violence on, were religious in nature. These are the gullible idiots who believe anything their chosen leaders tell them, without EVER fact checking. These are the people who would the transcript of the phone call proved trump was legit, when in fact, if they had actually read it, they would know otherwise. These are the peopel who claim to be christian, but have never even actually read the bible. Maybe they read a few cherry picked lines, but never the whole thing and never without someone right there, wispering or screaming in their ear, telling it means something other than what it says.
    Well, sorry. this a comedy. Those 3 paragraphs are something I just know, when combined with what was just said, it struck me as so funny, because he wasn't THAT far off, but as intended in the show, he hasn't clue about what he's talking about. Maybe my sense humor is too cerebral at times, but to me, that just made it even funnier. so please excuse my verbose explanation. But at the same time, it shows the humor is still somewhat relevant.

    If you are going to be a member in good standing of the spelling and grammar gestapo you should make sure your comment meets the impeccable standards of that noble organization. “thought I point” is not grammatically correct. I thought I would point that error out to you for future reference.

    • @RuralTowner
      @RuralTowner 5 лет назад +1

      You are missing a comma between "gestapo" and "you". Also, since "thought I point" was the in the beginning of the sentence, "though" should have had the T capitalized. That is, if being grammatical correct was the intent.
