Thank you for your post. I was backslidden and repented, but the enemy attacks me in my mind all the time saying it is too late--cannot come back to God. And he uses scripture. But I see where God receives all who repent, and He would not tell us to forgive others who repent to us if He would not do the same. Your post is an answer from the Lord. Please help me I want to find find Jesus. I keep digging and seeking and asking. I grew up in the Church of Christ and walked away a 15 with a lot of scripture and bible stories in my head. But nothing but bitterness in my heart. I am 58 now and in my third marriage and had thought I gave my heart to the Lord about 7 years ago when I married. But I began to see I was deceived and didn't know Him at all. I had no fruit as I could see from reading scripture for myself. I have been so devastated and depressed the last few months trying to find out if I can even be saved, if Jesus even wants me at all. I'm so scared and lonely. And I was recently told if I want Jesus I must divorce my dear husband. I keep thinking he is the idol Jesus wants me to give up. I need Jesus so bad. I want to belong to His family. Please help me understand..
