Hey it’s nice to have you healing up and back even though you’re hurting a bit. Really neat tie with the way it sits bend down, definitely going to try this one out. And I like your new video background, very colorful and helps show up the fly. Good stuff. Thanks.
I greatly enjoyed this recent video on the Bully Spider. I'm wondering whether you have ever tried using a small tungsten scud weight on the top rear of the hook instead of wrapped lead wire. This weight would invert the fly so legs would need be tied on hook point side. The hook gape would be larger than with the wound lead and the fly would seldom snag on the bottom or in weeds.
Great video, thanks for sharing. Hope your hands and arm feel better soon. This fly looks like it would work great for creek bass right now. Keep it up, but don’t beat yourself up.
So glad you’re back to tying flies, how much do you sell your flys for or how much would you sell this one for? Like if we wanted to buy some from you. Hope you have a speedy recovery!!
Thank you. So I sell most of my flies in 5 packs. These I believe are $11.99 for 5 of them. Other flies are much more, some less. Just depends on the flies. I base the prices on how long they usually take to tie, and how much the material costs.
Oh ok, I’ve seen many talk about more at the back and none at the front. Wonder if over time the originator changed to having more in the back. Can you link the article for me you saw where it said 5 at the back and 3 at front? Always looking to improve for sure! I will say this version works great for me though, seems to catch tons of fish.
Happy to see you back. Great looking fly. Thanks for sharing it
Much appreciated
Appreciate you sharing your expertise. Wish you a speedy recovery so you can continue what you love 👍

I have not, good idea, I wonder how well it works. I don’t have those weights though to test it.
Nice fly....Thanks for showing us.

Thanks! Yeah it’s great for bass, and sunfish and most warm water species, even have caught trout on it. It’s a good simple pattern

I've had a few surgeries and my recoveries are never easy but it's my fault always. Have fun with the recovery
Thanks! Yeah recovery can be difficult but I’m healing quickly thank God!
Great fly. Can’t hear any outside noises. Why not put a thread base under the lead to stop it from turning?
I never had to before my surgery but good idea maybe need to now
Neat! I hope you start healing up quick bud
Thank you
@@McFlyAngler you're welcome bud
Original called for 5 wraps of lead. Three at back and then two from there to eye.
