Yes, the digging has really started in earnest it seems. They've removed the temporary car park plus a cutting further up which has taken shape i noticed! :)
If you look at recent videos, there are clearly long stretches where excavation is down to track level. The next stage appears to be installing drainage. The track formation will probably consist of some compacted fill material on which they will lay the concrete slab track. It might not be until 2026 that work on the actual track will commence.
Still plenty of work to be done here with the construction of the porous portal. All the same, most of the excavation has now been done and the cutting slopes have been grassed so they are well past peak civils.
