You're cookin' on all 4 burners lately! The Challengers LP is nice - never saw that LP! ...Nice, cheap 45s this time - I do have that Jimmy McCracken 45 and a few others by him as well - all very nice! I think I also have that Doors 45, "Break On Through" - wasn't that their 1st 45? ...Never saw those 2 cool Original Sound 45s - I love novelty records! ...My copy of the Kuf-Linx 45 is on the blue challenge label. I have at least 2 different cities on that Tommy Facenda 45 - 1 in Pennsylvania (Maybe York) and I forget what the other city was... The Short Cuts 45 is very good - I like the flipside, "Don't Say He's Gone" - classic girl group sound! ...Well, went back to the Good Will store this morning and bought 17 more LPs - senior day made them $1.00 each! ...Again, thanks for showing - see ya next installment!
This was a great week for finding records
Some great finds again! Tommy Facenda He was in Gene vincent's Blue caps
Good to know.
the casinos record, the B side I still love you, is a northern soul classic
That's good to know. I guess I've heard the A side so much that I didn't think to check the B.
You always seem to find some good things. Here in Tennessee it's hard to find Rock music on 78s however i did pick a few up at at estate sale a month or so ago but it is few and far between
What you're going to find locally really does depend on what region you're in.
I have the Medallions Buick 59 in my Collection good record
I’ve managed to find the 45, but not the 78
Part of one of my recent finds was The Music Machine's "The Eagle Never Hunts The Fly" (a non-hit) in clean shape with that same original Original Sound company sleeve that you found.
Their hit was Talk Talk. I have a few copies on Original Sound. The label put out current music in the sixties while releasing their “Oldies But Goodies” albums at the same time. I even have an oldies trivia game put out by Original Sound that included cassettes as part of the game.
The Doors 45 is collectible because it was their first single and it wasn't a hit. I need a clean copy of that to go with my picture sleeve. Are you planning to sell it?
I'd be willing to sell it. Still need to get set up eventually to move the records I'm not planning to keep.
@@MikeFindsThings I am definitely interested. Please keep me in mind for it, and thanks. Can I email you?
Lillian Briggs was an East Coast artist. She did uptempo stuff bordering on rock. She was attractive and sexy. I think she played the trombone!
Hello Mike, what do you consider some of your 78s grail collection to be?
Mostly the early rock and roll, R&B, doo-wop, and blues 78s. I keep them on a special shelf for easy access.
