I found your channel several months ago and watched your older videos. This is the first one that I'm getting in at the beginning. I look forward to the progress.
WOW Mitch you are a brave man to tackle this Bird cage job. You know this is the first video I have seen of someone repairing and installing a Vet Bird Cage. Nice work so far.
Hey there Mitch, Looks like a great project car to piece together. There's sure going to be a lot of splicing and patching. I like that you try to salvage a much original metal as possible. Take care, Dan
im currently building an ignorant ugly c3 gonna leave it ugly lol your stuff is incredible please dont stop my fav is a split of course yours was the best miss the old 30 plus red white and blue 500plus hp misfit girl with a 4 speed no less lol
I was super happy to see you starting the 65 project. Then when I found that it is going to a fellow subscriber, I'm super happy as well. Will this be a turn key when you hand it over? New parts? You might get a little board. And to the subscriber this car is for, it's in the right hands you are gonna get a good one. Take care and stay safe.
Hey Jim thanks. It’s going to a good home. He will enjoy that car for many years. I’m not exactly sure where the cutoff will be. It will go on the old misfit chassis with the drivetrain that was in that white split. So the body will be complete and I’m not sure if we will have it running or not. More details to come in September. I’m on overkill 100% now lol.
They probably have a difference wheelbase and the torque tubes are huge. You wouldn’t have much floor space with that setup. The C2 doesn’t have a bad weight bias actually. The engine is pushed really far rearward.
@@MidYearMitch i was reading about an electric motor that looks like a donut. They are putting on the front wheel of delivery vans replacing the brake assembly. So the vans can run electric in the city the go back to gas in the country. To reduce emissions in the city. Side benefit the truck can run both and become AWD Hybrid. I asked them about doing that to older Sports cars abd they said why not. They build a 4 wheel drive version and the gut wants to race it. It has software cintrol to provide torque vectoring. I thought wow that would be great on the Vette too. I was asked to explore the possibility of making an adaptor for a better heater fan in the C3 Vettes. I wondered if the C2 need it too and would the same shape work for both? I design and 3D Print parts for Model trains. Doing that for 10 years. Never thought about car parts. My printer is pretty tall could be useful if think of anything you want to try. Dennis
Hello Mitch! Great to see you getting started with C2's again🤗! This one is convertable, right? My project is 64 convertable, complete front end rebuild a head😅!
Wow Mitch I believe this is the worst birdcage I've seen you build . Thank goodness for assembly fixture you made a year ago . This is going to be interesting , then the tore up body . Not for an old man for sure . Looking forward to the rest of the videos on this one . I bet your dad is happy about his camaro . Is it going to go to a body shop for painting ? I bet not , I'm sure you will get to it in your spare time ,LOL
Yeah this one is the worst. This one is going to be a big job. My dad is happy to get back on the Camaro. He will do the bodywork and I’ll do Vette stuff lol.

Awesome thanks for checking those out! Stay tuned for this one and overkill. Those will be mostly complete builds.

Thanks for watching!
Looks great, cannot wait to see the finished product.
I hope you like it! It’s going to be a nice car.

Thanks I appreciate it! A lot of people have repaired the cages but I think I was the first to put C2 cages on RUclips.
@@MidYearMitch First time I have ever seen anyone do this. Thanks Mitch.
Hey there Mitch,

Hey Dan she’s coming together. I like to save as much as I can while still making a great product. I want to keep these cars alive.

Oh nice good luck with your build. The misfit was fun. That car didn’t care. My next build overkill is a much more refined version of that car.

You do excellent work. Have you looked at fitting a C5 transaxle into the C2 frame?
