DO NOTE: The imperial is only accessible from getting the Imperial upgrade through the crown store for your account. I am not sure if there is still an "imperial edition" of the game that includes the base game and the upgrade, but if not, its a crown store upgrade.
Thanks for the help. So I pre ordered Morrowind and got the collectors edition bundle that came with Termiel (not sure if that's how to spell it lol) but I wanted to play both PVE and PVP. I want to do Magical damage. Is a high elf sorcerer good for this? Never played before.
yes! a high elf magicka sorcerer would fit your needs perfectly! Every class has a "magicka" variant that can be played by putting their points into magicka and focusing on those types of abilities, but the sorcerer does it in a more "stereotypical" way if that makes sense.

Ive got the download running now at 40% ive watched like 6 hours worth of your guides im thinking woodelf archer (night blade) but still got around 10 hours of downloading to go for the gold edition haha
Hope this video helps you guys choose your ideal race for whatever your role choice(s) (from a min/max perspective). Timestamps to jump around the video can be found in the description! EDIT TO BELOW PROBLEM: I upgraded my internet and got a new router. The problem is not only fixed but my internet is faster now, which means better stream quality and faster uploads! So the reason it took me so long to put this video up and the reason i havent streamed this week is because I am currently having some issues with my home network and have pinned down the issue to either my router or modem. This video, which should have taken 30 mins to upload, took about 5 hours. I am in the process of trying to fix it and i will update this pinned post when i correct the issue. Thanks for the guide. I'm used to playing stealth-based characters, but I've been thinking about a magic-based dps class. The high elf sorcerer seems well balanced for both pve and pvp.
This guide was made pre-morrowind but still, overall, applies - except for the fact that Redguards are a very strong stamina race choice. Warden races are listen below to act as a minor update to this guide: WARDEN RACES: Magicka DPS: High elf, Breton Stamina DPS: Khajiit, Redguard, Wood Elf Tank: Argonian, Imperial Healer: Argonian, Breton
Do you know any current and strong Bosmer Stamina DPS builds for Nightblade? I see people going different weapons different skills and it's difficult for me to figure out what the best build for me is. I'm currently trying to start a stamina nightblade and I'm anticipating pvp down the road, but I'm not sure how to build it.
+malkirion if you're going to be playing stamina dps come end game, focus on leveling dual wield, 2h, bow, and your class skill lines. You don't need a specific build while you level, just make sure those three weapon skill lines, your class skill lines, and armor skill lines are being leveled. This way, come end game, you'll be able to use any build!
Video was really helpful, definitely going to sub. Just hit lvl 50 and reset my skills&attributes because thinking about being a DarkElf Magblade. I’m currently a ww but I want to switch to vamp,, and I think I would need to switch to an Inferno Staff from my current Dual Wield.
No problem! Glad my videos have helped! My latest video is gonna be a big help to you if youre just starting too: ruclips.net/video/eSeYaDIMcw4/видео.html
Dottz Gaming no problem!! It did make me realize that my first character was not going to work, got him up to 156 champion but now I know exactly what I want to do and I created my Stamina Knightblade, I'm guessing I should wear 5 medium, 1 light and 1 heavy. With that 5, 1, 1 combination should I wear a heavy armor as my chest plate and say light armor boots? Or does the combination not matter?
All of what you said is correct :) Wear heavy on chest to get the most armor value and light on a small piece like boots so you, as i said, retain the most armor value !
Dottz Gaming I was also doing a search for what's better two handed or duel wield, and what the down sides of each are, do you have any videos on melee weapons?
This video is basically the culmination of all my beginner guides and shows you how to put everything into practice, building your character for success: ruclips.net/video/eSeYaDIMcw4/видео.html
I started last week Now Lvl 19 DragonKnight Shield Tank Red guard, thought all that stam would help me block and taunt spam, and the passive for leveling Also a bit of visual roleplay Bar 1 is shield tank Bar 2 is 2Hand DPS
Keep in mind, these racial recommendations are if youre trying to totally min/max your build. A red guard tank can still be viable, but as you gain more stats, the imperial/nord tanks will be a bit better. Based on what you said your needs are, especially for wanting to tank, imperial i think would suit your needs best from a min/max perspective. But again, redguard will still work and be absolutely viable! Dont forget, a huge part of picking your race is if you like the lore and the way it looks aesthetically.
Im a warden tank caught in the body of a dark elf...it bothers me to know that im wasting stats but i dont want to play an argonian >.< i wanted to start as a magicka DD thats why i picked dark elf...then i changed my mind and wanted to dual wield with a stamina build...now i want to tank and keep it but the loss of stats bothers me :P
Great video. Will you be doing a video on Dungeon sets or craftable sets? Where to get them and the chances of set item drops now that HotR has changed things?
Went with Argonian because I wanted to do a werewolf later. Was that or Wood Elf. Wood Elf would edge out on dmg but i'd rather cover my weaknesses. WWs already have a ton of dmg. Figured i'd focus on getting better heals, heal on pots (and ultimate because I went NB). Also if I ever decided to go with another build, I won't feel gimped. Currently 42 and having a blast. Thanks a lot for the vid. (Returned player, last time I played was 2 months after release. Dear god they improved this game so much.)
Needless to say, subbed because your vids helped me make the decision to try this game again. P.s. Forgot to mention that I love PVP. Figured that even if I don't go WW, the poison/disease resist is nice. Before I quit playing, I ran a Argonian NB (leech) tank because of increased healing and if I remember correctly.. Argonians used to have potion effectiveness and so did the potion passive from NB? Could be wrong. Was a long time ago. Anyway, if I ever want to run a leech tank again I can just respec. Versatility is fun to me.
Argonian right now is a very strong race choice, so it absolutely is gonna suit all of your needs. And yes argonians benefit alot from drinking potions and that works well with the NB catalyst passive in the siphoning tree And thank you for the sub! glad my vids have been able to help!
Hey dottz! Thank you for all the great info! Is there a resource that talks about the pros and cons of weapon and class combos i.e. What are the advantages of each weapon per class?
Well with every class being able to utilize every weapon, there honestly is a build for every weapon per class! Your weapon choice is honestly going to depend on your preferred resource. Magicka: Destro Staff, Resto Staff Stamina: Two Handed, Bow Build Dependent (can be used with both resources well, but the build is what will determine their effectiveness with said resource): One-handed & Shield, Dual Wield This video will probably help answer other questions you might be having with building your character: ruclips.net/video/eSeYaDIMcw4/видео.html Hope all of this helps answer your question!
Awesome! I haven't played enough to see the viability of each resource per class. I knew that some of the Templar abilities could morph to stamina but I wasn't sure if it was the same for the other classes. Thank you for the timely response!
So what's the optimal play style for a Dark Elf Nightblade and/or DK? Great video btw. Should I be focusing more on magic dps with short range melee like daggers and one handed weapons? That's the play style I used with my Dark Elf characters in the Oblivion/Skyrim...always a thief/assassin with strong destruction and one handed.
Nightblade and dk play VERY differently. There isnt really a "spell sword" in ESO. Nightblades have an actual stealth ability, and based on your post, it sounds like Nightblade would be your thing Magicka in PvE generally uses staves. In PvP there is a wide variety; dk's can use double sword and board, nightblades can use a 2h or DW and a staff, or both can still use staves. For Stam, both use DW/Bow in pve and 2h/bow in pvp. Stam -> medium armor Magicka -> light armor (assuming DPS role) I hope this little blurb of info is enough to help you choose. if theres something i didnt cover or if i didnt really answer your question let me know!
So I'm thinking of jumping back into this game, but I can't think of what role I want to play. What would you recommend? Dragon knight, Templar, nightblade or sorcerer? I blade this game back in 2015 but had absolutely no idea what I was doing, just that I wanted to play like an assassin vampire or something lol
hi i was just wondering. would a stam dps night blade wood elf be viable?. also whats more effective. archery or dual wielding? which should i put more points in. does it just depend on if i want to be a ranged or melee? also can i create 2 or 3 different characters?
Hey! So ill answer all your questions here in one comment: 1. Just based on your questions, i recommend you give this video a watch. I think itll help: ruclips.net/video/eSeYaDIMcw4/видео.html 2. Stam DPS Nightblade is good. if you watch the video, youll see i recommend it :) 3. You can use both Archery and Dual Wielding. youre allowed to equip 2 sets of weapons at a time. if you need help on the basics of the game, give this video a watch: ruclips.net/video/yHZF9PLlAOQ/видео.html 4. Yes you can create multiple characters. 5. The question about the skill points will be answered if you watch the first video linked, or watch the "Skill Points" section of the video i linked in point 3. 6. I go over it in the nightblade section of this guide. Wood Elf and Khajiit are best. Redguard is also good but imo the other two pull ahead slightly. 7. if you wanna be a stamblade on the Pact, your best choices, imo, would be imperial (if you have the imperial edition), but if you dont, i would go Argonian.
Hey, do you think that a high elf storm knight build could be viable? And by storm knight i mean uses a greatsword with some storm skills and then the other bar is all destro and storm skills?
honestly youll probably need to choose between destro staff and 2h; combining the two isnt the best. you could, but there are much better things to do. 2h/bow for stam and destro/destro for magicka (make the back bar resto for pvp) The class im assuming youre gonna wanna play though is sorc
Dottz Gaming Well what would recommend specifically? I need a build that can either do well for both pve and pvp or a focusing one that uses lighting destro staff with a sorcerer? Would you be willing to link a build that you deem is good? that'd be awesome! thanks for responding btw!
UltimateBruhaha PvP and PvE require totally different things so you aren't gonna find one build that excel ins both areas. here is a good place to start: tamrielfoundry.com/forum/classes/sorcerer-class/
So for a Magicka DK do I have to use a staff? Or can I stick to DW/bow? Currently a level 20 Dark Elf DK. Have been stuck between which build I want to pursue been leaning more towards magicka but I enjoy the use of the stamina skills lol been switching back and forth for the last few days would love some input! Thanks!
Riiqochet dw bow is completely stamina. Magicka in pve generally favors staves but I have seen dks also use sword and board for the passives. If you use non staves with a magicka build it's generally for the passive bonuses since the actives use Stam
Riiqochet no need to restart. I would just keep questing and gaining experience but use your new weapons! If you're dead set on farming though, I have a leveling guide on my channel you could look at
Dottz Gaming sorry for asking again, but do you think Nord + Dragon Knight would be a good dual wield? And also, sorry for all the questions! But, how do I get weapons, I haven't been able to find any one handed ones :( please help me lol, I love you
Looking into getting ESO, and trying to figure out what to play. I think I would like a slightly tanky melee DPS character (I tend to lag bit so can't really tank, but I need the protection) out of the Imperial class. Is this highly viable in endgame? I tend to on occasion do PvP but nothing competative, but, I love endgame, PvE, and the group content dungeons and such. Also iirc the Imperial was originally only available by getting a special edition of the game or something, is this still the case or is it available to all now? Can Vampires be melee DPS?
The imperial is still acquired by getting the Imperial Edition upgrade for your account, yes. So based on everything you told me in your comment and what i know about eso, my guess would be that you're probably going to be most satisfied on a 2h (or dual wield) and bow stamina imperial templar. I really think thatll give you exactly what youre looking for in a character In terms of can vampires be melee dps, they can be. although alot of their passives focus on magicka, some also do give stamina bonuses and can make you tankier at lower health! so you can still be a vamp for a stamina build if youd like! If you have any other questions or want me to clarify something just let me know!
Thank you for the very fast response time. After doing some research on RUclips and Steam, I have found I will probably get much enjoyment out of this game as I have loved the Elder Scroll series over the years. Only issue for me currently is which version to buy on Steam. I'm going with the assumption that the Gold version (comes with the 4 DLCs Imperial City, Orsinium, Thieves Guild, and Dark Brotherhood) is the one I am wanting. This should give me the Imperial character class correct, or does that come only in the Imperial edition, which seems to no longer be made.
Gorefist the imperial edition is now an upgrade to the game., not an edition anymore I would still recommend the gold edition because you'll save alot in the long run
Any stamina race and any class would be able to work with werewolf. Sine any class is capable of being a stam dps, i would say just pick what you think looks cook :D
Does the race choice effect where you can explore and are there only only certain armors each race can use? And what is the best way to make an archer build that uses some magic
+Subaru Rally no to the first two questions. And you would probably be looking for playing a stamina build of any class. All Stam versions of the classes still do use some magic
Do racial passive really matter end game? (in terms of everything) because I want a nightblade in ebonheart pact but I don't have any race any alliance.... so is there really a big difference between dunmer NB and khajit NB... And would it be worth using all my crowns for any race any alliance?
They do matter, yes. For example, there is a big difference between a Stamina high elf nightblade and a khajiit Based on your choices of dunmer vs Khajiit, im assuming you want to be stamina. In that case, both Argonian and Dunmer can work well on a nightblade. The difference between them and a khajiit is marginal at best.
Well with most MMORPGs, when you create a character you have to choose a single class. Otherwise your character would have no defining characteristics if that makes sense. So to answer your question you would have to make a new character. But i personally dont know of any mmorpgs with classes that allow you to switch them. There are different roles in the game (tank, healer, magic dps, stamina dps) and every single class can fill all of those roles and wear all armor types, but each class has a different flavor to it in the way it goes about accomplishing the roles. So in this game, it's more about picking which feel is best for you Classes and a very abrdiged version of their themes: Dragon Knight: Fire, Dragon Talons and Scales Templar: Holy fighter, priest Sorcerer: Elemental Wielder, Daedra user Nightblade: stealth, siphoning magic
Dottz Gaming I've been on FF14 for the last few years and FF11 before that. Both allow you to switch classes and the races have no significant advantage between them. Other than those I've played EQ and EQOA which didn't allow multiple classes. I didn't mind either, but I admit I'm a little spoiled by FF14 as if I didn't feel like playing a more complicated class like healer one day, I could just switch to melee if I wanted. It just makes the race selection more essential here since its not just cosmetic.
Ahhh i didnt realize the FF series allowed you to do that, ive never heard of that before! Basically in ESO with class selection, since all classes can wear the same type of armor and use the same weapons, class choice is mostly about what theme you like the most in terms of race selection, it honestly just depends on if you want to min/max your character, your goals are with your character, and if you like the race aesthetically Me personally: i will always choose a slightly less optimal race if it means i like the look of my character more. it just so happens that ive always been a breton fan, and theyre the best race for my needs
So i know this question may not be related to this video at all but I was wondering if you knew how to be able to craft items to make the look like other races armor?
so one more question do you think a imperial Stam DK would be good because of its raw buffs to stam and it's a little bit more survivability because of its extra hp?
Oreo Cookie I know this is two years after so you probably already figured it out. But Wood Elfs would prob be best for that, although Khajiit and Dark Elf wouldnt be a bad choice either
i would still stay stick stamina fully if youre dead set on the 2h. youre still gonna have a magicka ability here or there are on your bar, its the nature of the beast. but since youll have magicka at your disposal anyway not doing anything besides being used on those abilities, you dont have to put any points to buff your magicka since its only purpose will be to use those few abilities, if that makes sense. you wanna try to take stamina morphs when you can. So morph fiery breath into noxious breath, searing strike into venomous claw, stuff like that! Even though youre stamina, youre gonna, like i said, wanna still have some magicka abilities like igneous weapon, flame of oblivion, etc. on your bar to round out your build. but youre biggest hitters will be your 2handed weapon skills and your stamina morphed dk abilities. If you want to PURELY use fire magic and nothing else, i wouldnt recommend 2h.
Is there such a thing as a melee-using magic tank? Something like a sorcerer who uses a 2-hander or sword-and-shield (one or the other, not both) and some combination of magic abilities? Or would that be spreading skills too thin?
How do Winter's Embrace Wardens compare? Just messing around with build calculators, it seems they have some cool (ha) options for high resistances and CC. Thanks for the responses and feedback :)
I just bought the game and probably want to be a stamina dps after watching a few of your guides, but I want to do both pvp and pve and am not sure whether to pick khajjit or wood elf as I want to do both.
Dottz Gaming Ok thanks! I will probably go bosmer as I like their aesthetics more than the khajiits. Thanks for making all these beginners guides as I will now have a clue what is going on when the game finally downloads :)
nice video! i'm about to start this game and the orc look interesting for crafting purposes but i wanna know if the orc is any good with melee dps at all?
Michał Zaniewicz yes it would! I personally would go dark elf if you're trying to squeeze every single bit of DPS out, but the difference isn't massive
hey Dottz I want to play a magplar which I read on forums is one of the easiest classes to play for beginners but unsure on which race to pick between Brenton and High Elf ?? I'm new to the game I want one character that can do both PVE & PVP. I also want to be able to survive as I'm soloing atm. Thanks for the helpful content.
its up to you, but for magicka, the "easiest" combination to get used to is Destro/Resto. 1h/shield, DW, and 2h can be used in Magicka builds but theyre HIGHLY build specific The most common, and easiest, magicka weapons to get started with is destro/resto though :)
wanna play a stam dps build with DW (two axes) and Bow (though I dont mind 2H), I mostly play solo, aesthetically like Argonians & Orcs but guessing from this vid, Bosmer is the way to go? any help is appreciated brudda, I wanna try get into this game properly
Stam dps with DW/Bow is fine! Argonians and orcs are perfectly fine, but bosmer will edge them out i think. we are tlaking only a few percentage points though. Arg/Orc still make fine stam dps.
de Villiers no they're not bad! nightblades are probably the most difficult, but honestly just play what you find looks cool! that'll be the most fun in the long run😊
I am new to ESO and I want my class to be a Duel Wield, One Handed + Shield and a Bow. (Typical Warrior class) which Race and Class setup best utilize these traits? For PVE?
Depends if you wanna go magicka or stamina based on wood elf, im assuming you wanna go stamina. so on your front bar i would use either a 2hander or dual wield, and on your back bar use a bow
Logan TraSK make sure you use a minimum of one skill from every class line on both the front and back bar in order to always benefit from the passives. the rest of those open spaces (at that point it would be 3 open spaces on the front and 3 on the back) are up to you! as a stamina user I'd recommend using some of the weapon abilities too on each bar. but again, those other 6 spaces are up to you and how you wanna build your character :)
Dottz Gaming Yes thank you! Recently hopped back into ESO and forgot I had a level 40+ nightblade so i'll reallocate everything to what you were suggesting since that seems the most appropriate!
Nords arent generally the strongest DPS, and 2h mainly is for dps not for tanking. You could mabye do 1h/shield front bar and 2h back bar and be a nord tank, that would work! And yes tanks can work in pvp. focus on CC and disrupting the enemies!
This is for min max, correct? Because I want to make a dps magicka NB argonian, but People keep telling me it won't work. I'd like your opinion, as i want to pvp with friends in Ebonheart.
+Geek Think yes this is min max. And those people are stupid tbh lol. One of the best magicka nightblade pvpers I know is an argonian. It fits hit playstyle. Play what you like and what you think fits you. Thats the most important thing
what would be the best rank for a healer, Just got this game on pc, had a lvl 30 character on xbox, Im asking just to make sure no changes have happened since morowind came out
Dottz Gaming ever since i glances oblivion and played through skyrim i loved being the khajit warrior so khajits wouldn't get bad reputation in skyrim i even escorted the caravans sometimes
So i'm planning on playing a tank for pvp and pve and my buddy is probably gonna roll Nightblade. It looks like he can roll Wood Elf and be good for pvp and pve, but is there any benefit to pure tank in pvp (nord) or should i go dark elf?
yes! pure tanks in PvP still have their value; at least for Cyrodiil PvP. tanks in that type of environment act as disruptions in a way. You disrupt and prevent the enemy from doing what they want to do while your teammates kill em. Also, you act as a target for people to hit since your gonna be out in the open and not hiding, and being the pure tank race will help you stay alive that much longer!
I have thought of purchasing this game and have made builds. But I feel like I am wasting the Racial Passives when I go the the opposite of what they are innately good at. For example a Shadowscale Argonian stealth DPS when his skills are leaning into healers.
I see, maybe I am looking into this too much. I am actually planning to main a Dragon Knight tank with an Imperial, I used ESO Skill Factory to get a feel of the skills.
I'm making my first character and it's a Warden. I would like to explore all the roles in the game (support, dps, tank) throughout my playthrough, but will likely be an end-game healer as I will probably make another class for dps. I would like to PvE and PvP with this character. With that being said I think the best race would be High Elf, Breton or Argonian, but I'm not too sure. What are your thoughts? Thanks!
Well being that you want to test tanking, DPS, and heal , and think that you will end up end game as a healer, argonian would be the best choice imo due to being an amazing all around race and BiS for both tank and healer
I personally do. Love battlegrounds, and morrowind is a great zone! The main quest was meh to me, but i also didnt play the single player morrowind so i didnt feel any ties to the main quest much. but again, just my opinion
shouldn't dark elf be best for Sorcerer pvp/pve. well fire build. over all it seems to be slightly worse stat wise but fire build has a higher dps then any other class 3% more then other class?
+SkitZ GaminG you're not taking into account that a high amount of sorcerer damage, at least magicka sorc, still comes from lightning. Dark Elf is a good choice, but it still isn't as good as high elf, who also brings a larger magicka pool and more magicka recovery to the table
ah alright I was only asking lmfao I haven't played the game since beta came out years ago, I just bought morrowind and currently doing a lot of research on classes too see how they operate in this game opposed too like WoW and other games where they are class lock as well as starter guides and stuff just looking over the base stats I had assumed that fire could of potentially been better I was watching a pvp match and this sorc was all about some fire meteor spell that was aoeing down a team and I was thinking maybe that extra % dmg would benefit more lol
+SkitZ GaminG I know you're just asking :) And that is valkyn skoria, a monster set! But there are sorcs in pve who do use 1 fire staff and 1 lightning staff and make use of another set called illambris. Either way because of the mixed dmg possibilities of the sorc, Imo high elf is the way to go!
LEGO KANGAROO alot of physical damage dealers augment their attacks with magical abilities. I think checking out a stamina sorcerer might be what you want
Thank you for the video. Here is my question and is off topic but here it goes: are broken toons a thing, and how do I go about finding out if mine is broken? I have a 5 month old magicka based toon that is doing very, very little damage and I have no way to know if I am making incorrect choices or if the toon is broken. If there is another place to ask you this question, let me know. Again many thanks for the video.
i dont think there are any broken characters, it would be a widespread issue if the game was causing player characters to do very little damage. my gut tells me something is up with your build. To learn how to properly build your character, check this video out: ruclips.net/video/eSeYaDIMcw4/видео.html
So going through your videos and I see A LOT of WoW. Just curious, what made you leave WoW if you have that is. I left today actually and will be officially joining ESO Thursday this week.
So, im new to the gane and i play a heavily armored argonian healer so i get a good survivability with the heavy armor skills, given that they increase your spell resistance . the only down side is i know some of my healing abilities may suffer from it. I use restoration staffs if that helps. but does that seem to be an ok type of build? I don't care to much for pvp, nor minmaxing in that case. but i feel that its a good setup, but then again im juststarting the game. Also, i play on the Ps4, not to sure what that might change but yeah.
Gabriel Klopp argonians are some of the strongest healers in the game along side of bretons, and get a direct boost to healing done and received. so you aren't making a bad choice playing one :)
Dottz Gaming Holy cow, you're response times are on key! If i could ask you one more thing, I'd like to know about the dungeons mentioned on one of your other videos, it's apparent you're on PC, but i wanted to know if they were on console? and for that matter if they are on there, how i would go about acessing them. Right at the moment, i found one other player who is a lvl 6 nightblade, and me and him just made it to...... the island with the valcano hahaha, i forgot the name. but yeah, trying to get my friends into the game and ill be sure to have them watch your begginer videos as well.
Gabriel Klopp haha the benefits of having RUclips on my phone, I get push notifications whenever I get a comment and yes, the only difference between PC and consoles is that we have access to add-ons. you will be able to use the random dungeon finder when you are level 10. it's under the group Tab within the menus
just found your channel and its damn good.but Sadly it seems my favorite race is ass out in most everything:(,templar my breton seems fated to be an under achiever no matter the gear or champion point set up which is sad be cause I have blade the elder scroll universe games since the beginning with arena all the way up to this mmo version,be nice to compete, any advice?.
+Ghost Promise thanks! Breton is good at magicka DPS and as a healer. Is it #1? No but it's behind by a small margin , your rotation and skill will play a bigger role
I really appreciate the reply.TYVM I have tried countless armor setups weapon load outs, and skills.Atm using shackle breaker 5 heavy,1 medium,1 light, and spinners, with dual wield, sword and shield.I have heard skill placement on your bar matters is that true?.I am probably older than most playing the game and my vision a tad fuzzy,I react pretty well a lot of the time its just I seem to get bursted down so fast and the opposing factions seem nigh indestructible my spell damage fully buffed isnt over 3k so maybe thats an issue not sure. But tyvm for taking the time to respond.
+Ghost Promise I guarantee, just being honest, the issues with your character have nothing to do with your race and it is your build - I was speaking from a pve perspective with race, in pvp Breton does just as well as others since PvP builds are much more personal. Since it sounds like you're playing magicka, I don't think DW and SnB is the best course of action. Take a look at your weapon choice and maybe your armor weight and re evaluate your characters performance
tyvm for the reply ,means a lot I left out nords are my favorite but other than tank your sol with them it seems.I am running 5 heavy,1 light,1 medium.Valkin monster set.prismatic on helm, chest, legs, shield, stam on waist magic everywhere else.one nirn sword, one sharpened.than defending on back and shield.weapons are gold, some of the armor, also have all gold Kags. But I either cannot do enough damage,or run out of magic and i have 41k magic so I honestly do not know am lost, would love any advice I am mostly solo no the guild I was in wasn't very helpful, and I have asked a few others I see do well but it is like a jealously guarded secret or something.Getting close to walking away and I do not wish to My father before he passed played the elder scroll games as well and well it feels like I am honoring him by keeping on,just wish I was doing a better job.TYVM for your time.
If you want more in depth help you can join our discord server and ask for help in the pvp theorycrafting channel! will be easier to help in there than in the comments
if anyone can give me an idea. It's my first playthrough and I just wanna make sure I'm doing it right. I like to play a mix of magic dmg and melee dmg as well. ik this game isn't like skyrim but is there a good combo I can do to play a good mix of everything
TRiBUTE yes! you would want to be more Magicka focused though for optimal dps a good hybrid race for DPS is either dark elf or argonian, so you won't be gimped if you decide Magicka isn't for you
Personally, i wouldnt recommend chasing "the best class", as things get buffed and nerfed constantly. play what you think is cool and looks the most fun and youll end up having the most fun in the end. If you really wanna play the best of the best tho, a magicka sorc is what youre looking for
Well it is in the guide.... :P but if you want to do both and do both well, imo argonian is going to be your best bet. but if you mainly wanna tank nord isnt a bad choice!
3 situations: 1. If you are making a build that focuses on a lot of light and heavy attacks orc is good for that. 2. Tanks 3. Can be used for stam dps but will probs be outshined by other races. but again, we are talking a few percentage points, nothing game breaking.
THIS GUIDE IS NOW OUT OF DATE
Updated Guide: ruclips.net/video/EZJOnnWIdKY/видео.html
If you need to know the basic basics, check this out: ruclips.net/video/uPBNdeLCRsQ/видео.html

Yes it does. Thank you for the fast reply and your help.
Anytime!
I see the player base of this game increasing immensely in the upcoming months.
Me too! Things look like theyre growing rapidly so i am trying to push out alot of updated tutorials and beginners guides for people!
Their is a game called The Secret World (by Funcom) that just announced the game will be redone. Many are jumping ship for ESO.
Ill be on soon
To stay up to date on what's going on with me, follow me on twitter (twitter.com/dottzgaming) and like my facebook page (facebook.com/dottzgaming)
Been playing for a month now and I FINALLY understand this after rewatching it!! Thanks again...
glad the vid helped!
Thanks for the guide. I'm used to playing stealth-based characters, but I've been thinking about a magic-based dps class. The high elf sorcerer seems well balanced for both pve and pvp.
Theyre very good right now! Definitely worth trying :D
I just ordered eso and I decided to learn some things about the game before playing so I level up faster and also decide on what class I want
You can learn more on dottzgaming.com :)
This guide was made pre-morrowind but still, overall, applies - except for the fact that Redguards are a very strong stamina race choice.
Warden races are listen below to act as a minor update to this guide:
WARDEN RACES:
Magicka DPS: High elf, Breton
Stamina DPS: Khajiit, Redguard, Wood Elf
Tank: Argonian, Imperial
Healer: Argonian, Breton
You missed the best race out there
THE ORC!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Jelger No orcs are shit at everything and smell like shit
Wyvern07 well then xD
Video was really helpful, definitely going to sub.
Just hit lvl 50 and reset my skills&attributes because thinking about being a DarkElf Magblade.
I’m currently a ww but I want to switch to vamp,, and I think I would need to switch to an Inferno Staff from my current Dual Wield.
Awesome video! Thanks for sharing.
Liking these guides so far Joe.
Jemyni glad to hear :D
Good Video. Getting back in the game and I had a feeling I was going to play a Dark Elf Dragonknight and you helped me cement my choice.
Glad i could help! :D
just bought the game. thank you very much for this guide ! earned a sub
+Jonas Staats glad you enjoyed :)
Thanks heaps for what your doing. Just starting out now, really looking forward to it.
No problem! Glad my videos have helped! My latest video is gonna be a big help to you if youre just starting too: ruclips.net/video/eSeYaDIMcw4/видео.html
Anyone else in my position, definitely click on the link Dottz shared. It's was a great follow up to this vid, for me.
10/10 informative video. dark elf dragon knight it is!
don't cry glad it helped you :)
This is by far the best RUclips channel for ESO!!
thanks :D!!!!
DW = PvE
2h = PvP
Thank you for this! Gonna go high elf dps sorcerer focused fully on magicka. I'll might use vampire as well.
Goku Black no problem! glad the video helped!
Goku Black hmm that sounds like what i want to play but still not sure, i think the robes are turning me off lol
This video is basically the culmination of all my beginner guides and shows you how to put everything into practice, building your character for success: ruclips.net/video/eSeYaDIMcw4/видео.html
I made a Breton Templar healer and loving it
glad youre enjoying :D
Fun video, I just play the race I like for any role. Basically all 4 of my characters are Argonian.
Agumon5 well argonian is pretty good at everything so that works out well :)
Very informative and helpful. Thanks!
David W glad it helped!
very beginner comprehensive...great job...ty
Glad you enjoyed!
I started last week
Now Lvl 19 DragonKnight Shield Tank Red guard, thought all that stam would help me block and taunt spam, and the passive for leveling
Also a bit of visual roleplay
Bar 1 is shield tank
Bar 2 is 2Hand DPS
+dylon beeson is this what you're looking for? ruclips.net/video/KNhzuzqRLWU/видео.html
Django Martinez no problem! that's some really sound reasoning for your race choice. glad to see you enjoying the game :)
And yes argonians benefit alot from drinking potions and that works well with the NB catalyst passive in the siphoning tree
And thank you for the sub! glad my vids have been able to help!
Are you by any chance gonna make vids/talk about the upcoming warden and how you feel about the class?
It wasn't currently in my plans but if that's something people want i could talk about it!
Magicka: Destro Staff, Resto Staff
Stamina: Two Handed, Bow
Build Dependent (can be used with both resources well, but the build is what will determine their effectiveness with said resource): One-handed & Shield, Dual Wield
This video will probably help answer other questions you might be having with building your character: ruclips.net/video/eSeYaDIMcw4/видео.html
Hope all of this helps answer your question!
Awesome! I haven't played enough to see the viability of each resource per class. I knew that some of the Templar abilities could morph to stamina but I wasn't sure if it was the same for the other classes. Thank you for the timely response!
James Walker no problem! and yes all classes have the ability to do that with some of their skills :)
Hi
Given the morrowind changes, do you suggest different race/class combos now?
+KirelRed nope!
Thanks for the knowledge bomb, appreciate it
No problem!
Nightblades have an actual stealth ability, and based on your post, it sounds like Nightblade would be your thing
Magicka in PvE generally uses staves. In PvP there is a wide variety; dk's can use double sword and board, nightblades can use a 2h or DW and a staff, or both can still use staves.
For Stam, both use DW/Bow in pve and 2h/bow in pvp.
Stam -> medium armor
Magicka -> light armor
(assuming DPS role)
I hope this little blurb of info is enough to help you choose. if theres something i didnt cover or if i didnt really answer your question let me know!
For that, play a nightblade. if you want to really focus on melee, go stamina. if you like more magic based stuff, go magicka.
so is a khajit DPS Dragon Knight a good choice?
and also what do you think is the best stamina DPS race/class combination
yes if you go stamina!
And currently id say sorc, probably Khajiit
Dottz Gaming thanks and you just got a new subscriber
thanks!
awesome vids man, very helpful keep it up
DAT-ZOMBIE-SLAYA thank you! glad they've helped!
I do not understand the concept of a Stamina based Sorcerer. Can you use stamina instead or magika? Can you explain, please?
watch this: ruclips.net/video/yHZF9PLlAOQ/видео.html
Check otu 33:40, i go over the difference
hi i was just wondering. would a stam dps night blade wood elf be viable?. also whats more effective. archery or dual wielding? which should i put more points in. does it just depend on if i want to be a ranged or melee? also can i create 2 or 3 different characters?
also instead of wood elf what other race should i pick for an archer nightblade stam dps.
if i want to be an archer in the ebonheart pact what do you think my best race and class would be ?
Hey! So ill answer all your questions here in one comment:
1. Just based on your questions, i recommend you give this video a watch. I think itll help: ruclips.net/video/eSeYaDIMcw4/видео.html
2. Stam DPS Nightblade is good. if you watch the video, youll see i recommend it :)
3. You can use both Archery and Dual Wielding. youre allowed to equip 2 sets of weapons at a time. if you need help on the basics of the game, give this video a watch: ruclips.net/video/yHZF9PLlAOQ/видео.html
2h/bow for stam and destro/destro for magicka (make the back bar resto for pvp)
The class im assuming youre gonna wanna play though is sorc
Dottz Gaming Well what would recommend specifically? I need a build that can either do well for both pve and pvp or a focusing one that uses lighting destro staff with a sorcerer? Would you be willing to link a build that you deem is good? that'd be awesome! thanks for responding btw!
UltimateBruhaha PvP and PvE require totally different things so you aren't gonna find one build that excel ins both areas.
here is a good place to start: tamrielfoundry.com/forum/classes/sorcerer-class/
would a nord dragonknight be a better tank then a nord templar?
A bit yeah, but you can tank on any class
@@dottzgaming hmm same question but with orc instead?
Same answer.
@@dottzgaming hm fair enough
So for a Magicka DK do I have to use a staff? Or can I stick to DW/bow? Currently a level 20 Dark Elf DK. Have been stuck between which build I want to pursue been leaning more towards magicka but I enjoy the use of the stamina skills lol been switching back and forth for the last few days would love some input! Thanks!
Riiqochet dw bow is completely stamina. Magicka in pve generally favors staves but I have seen dks also use sword and board for the passives. If you use non staves with a magicka build it's generally for the passive bonuses since the actives use Stam
Dottz Gaming so for PvE I would use a staff and what else for my second bar?
Riiqochet double staves would be optimal
One fire and one lightning
Dottz Gaming do you know of any good places to farm levels for the weapon skills? Or should I just restart fresh and do it right?
Riiqochet no need to restart. I would just keep questing and gaining experience but use your new weapons! If you're dead set on farming though, I have a leveling guide on my channel you could look at
Not sure if you'll see this, but whats the best dual wield class/race? I want to be able to do good damage but not die instantly
Stam Sorc or Stam DK, Khajiit/imperial/wood elf, would probably be your best bet
Dottz Gaming also, how to I get to main tamrial, I bought the Morrowind bundle so Im stuck in Morrowind after the tutorial
There is a boat in Vivec city that will take you to your factions starting zone
Dottz Gaming thank you! :)
I really think thatll give you exactly what youre looking for in a character
In terms of can vampires be melee dps, they can be. although alot of their passives focus on magicka, some also do give stamina bonuses and can make you tankier at lower health! so you can still be a vamp for a stamina build if youd like!
Gorefist the imperial edition is now an upgrade to the game., not an edition anymore
I would still recommend the gold edition because you'll save alot in the long run
Gorefist hope you enjoy the game!
Ah, again thank you. Off to buy the game then.
I really wanna play a werewolf but I don't know what race or class to choose to be a strong werewolf with good buffs, is an imperial nightblade good?
Any stamina race and any class would be able to work with werewolf. Sine any class is capable of being a stam dps, i would say just pick what you think looks cook :D
I'm running a Magicka Nightblade High Elf what armor would be best to run? heavy? light?
5 piece light
1 medium
1 heavy
Dottz Gaming Thanks man ^^
Does the race choice effect where you can explore and are there only only certain armors each race can use? And what is the best way to make an archer build that uses some magic
+Subaru Rally no to the first two questions.
And you would probably be looking for playing a stamina build of any class. All Stam versions of the classes still do use some magic
Dottz Gaming OK thanks
I'm not great at ESO, what's best to put your attribute points on as a sorcerer when you level up
+Antonypacman try watching this to see if it helps: ruclips.net/video/eSeYaDIMcw4/видео.html
For example, there is a big difference between a Stamina high elf nightblade and a khajiit
Based on your choices of dunmer vs Khajiit, im assuming you want to be stamina. In that case, both Argonian and Dunmer can work well on a nightblade. The difference between them and a khajiit is marginal at best.
ok, ty, i just didnt want to spend so many crowns for the any race any alliance but as a perfectionist, if its required i would've bouht it
Are you able to play multiple classes on one character and switch between them, or do you have to make new characters to play other classes?
Well with most MMORPGs, when you create a character you have to choose a single class. Otherwise your character would have no defining characteristics if that makes sense. So to answer your question you would have to make a new character. But i personally dont know of any mmorpgs with classes that allow you to switch them.
There are different roles in the game (tank, healer, magic dps, stamina dps) and every single class can fill all of those roles and wear all armor types, but each class has a different flavor to it in the way it goes about accomplishing the roles. So in this game, it's more about picking which feel is best for you
Classes and a very abrdiged version of their themes:
Dragon Knight: Fire, Dragon Talons and Scales
Templar: Holy fighter, priest
Sorcerer: Elemental Wielder, Daedra user
Nightblade: stealth, siphoning magic
Dottz Gaming I've been on FF14 for the last few years and FF11 before that. Both allow you to switch classes and the races have no significant advantage between them. Other than those I've played EQ and EQOA which didn't allow multiple classes.
I didn't mind either, but I admit I'm a little spoiled by FF14 as if I didn't feel like playing a more complicated class like healer one day, I could just switch to melee if I wanted.
It just makes the race selection more essential here since its not just cosmetic.
Ahhh i didnt realize the FF series allowed you to do that, ive never heard of that before!
Basically in ESO with class selection, since all classes can wear the same type of armor and use the same weapons, class choice is mostly about what theme you like the most
in terms of race selection, it honestly just depends on if you want to min/max your character, your goals are with your character, and if you like the race aesthetically
Me personally: i will always choose a slightly less optimal race if it means i like the look of my character more. it just so happens that ive always been a breton fan, and theyre the best race for my needs
Could you still go a Khajiit Stam DK in PvP instead of wood elf, and wouldn't it also be good to go argonian Stam DK because of the potion passive?
Nick Ibarra you could do any of those honestly and be okay
So i know this question may not be related to this video at all but I was wondering if you knew how to be able to craft items to make the look like other races armor?
Motifs! you can check out my complete beginner guide on my channel and go to the crafting section; i explain motifs during that part of the video
so one more question do you think a imperial Stam DK would be good because of its raw buffs to stam and it's a little bit more survivability because of its extra hp?
Nick Ibarra imperial is great for a Stam race!
I want to play a dagger bow type character, a lot like the cinematic in the intro, any advice?
Oreo Cookie I know this is two years after so you probably already figured it out. But Wood Elfs would prob be best for that, although Khajiit and Dark Elf wouldnt be a bad choice either
You just gained a sub!
Thanks!!
I plan on choosing the dragon knight with dunmner and i wanna use 2h wep. what kinda armour should i use? Medium?
Fredrik Petersson If you want to be a damage dealer , then yes! stamina would be your main stat so you would indeed wear medium armor :)
Dottz Gaming Thanks, but i plan to use the fireattacks of the DK aswell. so should i split even between stamina and magicka?
i would still stay stick stamina fully if youre dead set on the 2h. youre still gonna have a magicka ability here or there are on your bar, its the nature of the beast. but since youll have magicka at your disposal anyway not doing anything besides being used on those abilities, you dont have to put any points to buff your magicka since its only purpose will be to use those few abilities, if that makes sense.
you wanna try to take stamina morphs when you can.
Dottz Gaming Thanks alot for your replies to me. This helps alot in the jungle that is eso xD
Fredrik Petersson haha no problem !
Is there such a thing as a melee-using magic tank? Something like a sorcerer who uses a 2-hander or sword-and-shield (one or the other, not both) and some combination of magic abilities? Or would that be spreading skills too thin?
+W rynn magicka DKs are what you're looking for! We use sword and board !
How do Winter's Embrace Wardens compare? Just messing around with build calculators, it seems they have some cool (ha) options for high resistances and CC. Thanks for the responses and feedback :)
+W rynn also a good choice!
+W rynn magicka only tanks aren't generally the best, tanks are normally hybrid. But magicka DK dps in PvP use sword and board due to low mobility
Alright, thanks for the heads up!
Already have a dark elf DK for my PVE I might do a PVP for a Breten or an Argonian
+GeneralSinx argonian or dunmer is best for pvp
I just bought the game and probably want to be a stamina dps after watching a few of your guides, but I want to do both pvp and pve and am not sure whether to pick khajjit or wood elf as I want to do both.
It's not going to make an overwhelming difference either way tbh. Khajiit will win overall in terms of dmg but bosmer are a little tankier. your call!
Dottz Gaming Ok thanks! I will probably go bosmer as I like their aesthetics more than the khajiits.
Thanks for making all these beginners guides as I will now have a clue what is going on when the game finally downloads :)
Jed Hayward no problem :)
nice video! i'm about to start this game and the orc look interesting for crafting purposes but i wanna know if the orc is any good with melee dps at all?
yes they are! Orc's can fill the stamina dps role well (not as good as redguard or khajiit, but good enough) and can also tank!
What do you think about Breton Magicka DK in PvP? This is work?
Michał Zaniewicz yes it would! I personally would go dark elf if you're trying to squeeze every single bit of DPS out, but the difference isn't massive
who is the best role/class for as i say "solo carry" when it comes to pve because im not really sure of who to play
Christian Fusco play a high elf mag sorc. really strong right now
Ok ill give him a try thanks man
hey Dottz I want to play a magplar which I read on forums is one of the easiest classes to play for beginners but unsure on which race to pick between Brenton and High Elf ?? I'm new to the game I want one character that can do both PVE & PVP. I also want to be able to survive as I'm soloing atm. Thanks for the helpful content.
Deo Volente31 I'd say in that case go Breton! and glad its all helped !
Dottz Gaming thanks for the help I'm going Breton, sorry again but what weapon setup should I use for main and swap bar??
its up to you, but for magicka, the "easiest" combination to get used to is Destro/Resto. 1h/shield, DW, and 2h can be used in Magicka builds but theyre HIGHLY build specific
The most common, and easiest, magicka weapons to get started with is destro/resto though :)
Dottz Gaming Thanks for a very helpful comment and content, a new and very happy subscriber :) thank you!
no problem :) hope you enjoy the future content!
I think orc can be a stamina dps for dk but not sure I'm thinking of a race and class for a playthrough of eso
yaeh they absolutely can work for that! some of their passives play into getting extra stam.
wanna play a stam dps build with DW (two axes) and Bow (though I dont mind 2H), I mostly play solo, aesthetically like Argonians & Orcs but guessing from this vid, Bosmer is the way to go? any help is appreciated brudda, I wanna try get into this game properly
Stam dps with DW/Bow is fine! Argonians and orcs are perfectly fine, but bosmer will edge them out i think. we are tlaking only a few percentage points though. Arg/Orc still make fine stam dps.
Damn that reply doe! Cheers man, I'll get on it now, thanks for the help! Which starter area is better between Arg and Orc?
up to personal preference
thanks man, earned yourself a sub for more ESO content
depends on what you want to do. with DW/Bow Orc would be viable in both PVP and PVE. especially for PVP solo with that Bow/Sprint Speed
Hello
would it not be a good thing, to be an imperial stamina templer?
You can do that, but imperial offers 0 sustain in it's passives so you'd have to supplement for that in your gear and enchant choices
What time stamp can I find for classes like nightblade or dragon knight?
This is the updated guide: ruclips.net/video/EZJOnnWIdKY/видео.html
Dottz Gaming sweet thx
Dottz Gaming which race do you recommend that has good stamina?
How well will a breton templar work for damage dealing in both pve and pvp?
good! breton is a solid choice for magicka
Awesome and what is I want to use it for a melee damage dealer would I be better with something else?
A magicka melee build can be made absolutely! (magicka is the stat youre going to want to use btw)
Awesome thanks very much dude it helps a lot and keep up the good work with the vids :)
Now iv just got to try and find a name that isn't taken XD
Do you think that Templar/Dark elf’s are good
Yep!
Is high elf a good race to use two-handed weapon style and dragonknight skills
Watch my updated racial guide and my weapons guide!
Are Dragon Knights hard to play? I want to play as a Dark Elf in ESO but I'm not sure if it should be my main class since i'm new to the game.
de Villiers no they're not bad! nightblades are probably the most difficult, but honestly just play what you find looks cool! that'll be the most fun in the long run😊
I wanted to play a character that focused DOT damage. What class race combo would be best?
SteadierNut499 dark elf magicka dragon knight I think has the most dots
I am new to ESO and I want my class to be a Duel Wield, One Handed + Shield and a Bow. (Typical Warrior class) which Race and Class setup best utilize these traits? For PVE?
That'd be a stamina build. Check accordingly on this video
Best weapon style for Wood Elf Nightblade?
Depends if you wanna go magicka or stamina
based on wood elf, im assuming you wanna go stamina. so on your front bar i would use either a 2hander or dual wield, and on your back bar use a bow
Dottz Gaming Which skills should I mostly use? My nightblade class skills or dual wield/2hand skills for the most damage output?
Logan TraSK make sure you use a minimum of one skill from every class line on both the front and back bar in order to always benefit from the passives. the rest of those open spaces (at that point it would be 3 open spaces on the front and 3 on the back) are up to you! as a stamina user I'd recommend using some of the weapon abilities too on each bar. but again, those other 6 spaces are up to you and how you wanna build your character :)
Logan TraSK does that answer your question? xD just wanna make sure lol
Dottz Gaming Yes thank you! Recently hopped back into ESO and forgot I had a level 40+ nightblade so i'll reallocate everything to what you were suggesting since that seems the most appropriate!
Hey is dk 2h nord good combo and can u pvp with dk 2h or is tank Good for pvp to?
Nords arent generally the strongest DPS, and 2h mainly is for dps not for tanking. You could mabye do 1h/shield front bar and 2h back bar and be a nord tank, that would work!
And yes tanks can work in pvp. focus on CC and disrupting the enemies!
Dottz Gaming thanks for the tip but if i go tank should i still focus stamina?
if you wanna use backbar 2h than yes go stam
I don't rly understand class is it only tank class or can i use w/e class? Do u have a video about class?
im not sure what youre asking
I think youre lackign on the basics; i would watch this: ruclips.net/video/yHZF9PLlAOQ/видео.html
Any tips for high elf night blade?(magicka) (Like weapon style, stats, gear) I am a new player so i have no idea what to do
Watch this guide and see if it helps: ruclips.net/video/eSeYaDIMcw4/видео.html
This is for min max, correct? Because I want to make a dps magicka NB argonian, but People keep telling me it won't work. I'd like your opinion, as i want to pvp with friends in Ebonheart.
+Geek Think yes this is min max. And those people are stupid tbh lol. One of the best magicka nightblade pvpers I know is an argonian. It fits hit playstyle. Play what you like and what you think fits you. Thats the most important thing
Thanks! Also, your channel is great, you've got a new sub.
Also, would picking argonian completely gimp me for end game? I want to do PvP and PvE, and would like your thoughts.
lol refer to my original comment. One of the best magicka nightblade pvpers I know is an argonian, it wont gimp you at all
what would be the best rank for a healer, Just got this game on pc, had a lvl 30 character on xbox, Im asking just to make sure no changes have happened since morowind came out
+Masonkiksbut no changes have happened healer wise. This video is still valid.
Ok, Thanks!
No matter what the best is i will remain a noble khajit warrior even though i don't have ESO...
+Russian trooper xD Khajiit 5ever
Dottz Gaming ever since i glances oblivion and played through skyrim i loved being the khajit warrior so khajits wouldn't get bad reputation in skyrim i even escorted the caravans sometimes
Does Wood Elf work well with Magicka nightblade dps, I was going to do stamina but I didn't see any abilities using stamina
The Wizard Panda class abilities can use stamina. the base abilities may use Magicka, but they can be morphed into stamina abilities!
The argonians passives are good general passives tho and can work with alot of different roles.
I see, maybe I am looking into this too much. I am actually planning to main a Dragon Knight tank with an Imperial, I used ESO Skill Factory to get a feel of the skills.
pNoyGamer23 really good combo you have thought up there! that'll work well.
Thank you! Haha! I am waiting on the sale for now. XD I really like your channel, very informative. New sub right here.
Sounds good!
And thank you so much, glad youve been enjoying the content!
Thanks!
Argonian 100%
Can I ask why? Total noob here, not sure if it's common sense haha.
Well being that you want to test tanking, DPS, and heal , and think that you will end up end game as a healer, argonian would be the best choice imo due to being an amazing all around race and BiS for both tank and healer
I'm looking to return to ESO, and I was wondering if you think Morrowind is worth it for the high price?
I personally do. Love battlegrounds, and morrowind is a great zone! The main quest was meh to me, but i also didnt play the single player morrowind so i didnt feel any ties to the main quest much. but again, just my opinion
Dottz Gaming Ok. I think I'll get it. Thank you so much!
:)
shouldn't dark elf be best for Sorcerer pvp/pve. well fire build. over all it seems to be slightly worse stat wise but fire build has a higher dps then any other class 3% more then other class?
+SkitZ GaminG I know you're just asking :)
And that is valkyn skoria, a monster set! But there are sorcs in pve who do use 1 fire staff and 1 lightning staff and make use of another set called illambris. Either way because of the mixed dmg possibilities of the sorc, Imo high elf is the way to go!
Do you think Breton Sorcerer Magicka DPS would work?
ᅚᅚᅚ absolutely! that's a very strong combo!
i want to play someone with fisical attacks but that uses magic into the mix i havent watched it yet but lets see if i find something similer
The changes in Legion to pvp made it really not fun to play, simply put lol. i could go so in depth into this but its the simplest way to put it xD
Dottz Gaming Thanks a million! i wasn't expecting a direct reply, you made my day man!
Gabriel Klopp haha any time dude, glad I was able to help!
Gabriel Klopp haha the benefits of having RUclips on my phone, I get push notifications whenever I get a comment
and yes, the only difference between PC and consoles is that we have access to add-ons. you will be able to use the random dungeon finder when you are level 10. it's under the group Tab within the menus
so which one is the one with the big sword?
any class can use swords!
So what's the overall best class-race pve dps combo?
currently? High Elf Magicka Sorcerer
just found your channel and its damn good.but Sadly it seems my favorite race is ass out in most everything:(,templar my breton seems fated to be an under achiever no matter the gear or champion point set up which is sad be cause I have blade the elder scroll universe games since the beginning with arena all the way up to this mmo version,be nice to compete, any advice?.
If you want more in depth help you can join our discord server and ask for help in the pvp theorycrafting channel! will be easier to help in there than in the comments
i want to play a breton sorcerer healer. ... thats not bad is it
Paul Wain it's a great combo ! Bretons are one of the best healing races for all classes!
Where did you get that intro?
Godsban3 I made it utilising eso songs and cinematics, and then I made the text
Godsban3 I found the font but edited it to make it look the way it does
what would be the best tank, damage ????
Soul Raider I'd say go DK for tank and Sorc for dmg
if anyone can give me an idea. It's my first playthrough and I just wanna make sure I'm doing it right. I like to play a mix of magic dmg and melee dmg as well. ik this game isn't like skyrim but is there a good combo I can do to play a good mix of everything
TRiBUTE almost any class can do that! but if you want a more stereotypical version, a melee sorcerer might be what you want!
Dottz Gaming thank you for your reply. is there any race you would suggest. could high elf sorcerer work.
TRiBUTE yes! you would want to be more Magicka focused though for optimal dps
a good hybrid race for DPS is either dark elf or argonian, so you won't be gimped if you decide Magicka isn't for you
Dottz Gaming thank you very much for your help
TRiBUTE no problem!
What is the best DPS build?
Personally, i wouldnt recommend chasing "the best class", as things get buffed and nerfed constantly. play what you think is cool and looks the most fun and youll end up having the most fun in the end.
If you really wanna play the best of the best tho, a magicka sorc is what youre looking for
What's good for the warden?
Magicka: High Elf, Breton
Stamina: Wood Elf, Khajiit
Healer: Breton, Argonian
Tank: Argonian, Imperial
Jack of all trades: imperial, argonian
I know it was all in the video but I was really just wondering if I should lean towards Magicka or Stamina. Opinion?
it's up to you and what you prefer! completely personal choice.
Like staves? go magicka.
Like melee weapons and bows? go stamina
What's better wood elf or khajiit night blade
Depends; do you wanna pvp or pve more?
khajitt would be your best bet then! Make sure you end up playing a stamina build to maximize the khajiits racial passives!
Thanks for you help
no prob!
Sorry but if I was going for a archer stamina build for pve would I use a wood elf for its passive in the bow skill line?
I am dark elf, dragonknight + vampire is bad ?
No. thats very good
Warden redgard healer is that a bad choice??
You can make that work!
Best race for Templar tank/healer? Also vampire. Made mine a nord before watching any guides 😕
Well it is in the guide.... :P
but if you want to do both and do both well, imo argonian is going to be your best bet. but if you mainly wanna tank nord isnt a bad choice!
dont you think nord is good in pvp in combination with sorc?
Nico Brunmayr if you wanna fill a more tanky role than absolutely!
so what class would orc be best for?
3 situations:
1. If you are making a build that focuses on a lot of light and heavy attacks orc is good for that.
2. Tanks
3. Can be used for stam dps but will probs be outshined by other races. but again, we are talking a few percentage points, nothing game breaking.
Dottz Gaming alright thanks man your a lot of help:)
i do my best :D
Best race/weapon style for a nightblade??
ø well the video will help you decide race. And the weapon choices depends on your role
Should i be breton healer sorcerer or high elve healer sorcerer
mystery gamer 7200 I'd say between those two you can't go wrong either way, but I'd say Breton personally
Dottz Gaming ok thanks
