Spitz was heavy in my rotation of chains when I lived in Salt Lake City. I moved to a part of the country that doesn't have them and it made me very glad to see it get the love it deserves. Spitz is an apex chain in my mind, but I don't want it to expand much more, I think they're at about the height of their scalability
Maybe I missed it because I kept losing consciousness when Wiges’ short shorts were on screen, but did we get Hodgman’s thoughts on Christmas being a cookie holiday? Also, Wiger’s smirk at the Snack Pack plug is a true highlight.
Hodgman is always a great guest. Haven't laughed out loud at an episode as hard as I did here in a good long while. Also: Mitch looks like he's slimming down. Good on ya, bud!
13:48 I think that's a reference to Louis CK putting out a special during covid and the note was something like "for those who need a laugh right now," as if it was a gesture of good will, but you still had to pay for it.
I used to really like listening to Go Go Gober! until he started having Jordan Peterson on and enthusiastically agreed with him that the character of Mimi was a "taudry political statement in support of Drag." Gober started hating the show after that, really killed the whole vibe.
Watching this, though I've heard it before. Definitely, prefer the video. I was thinking of something a bit political. I wonder if progressives are people who can make fun of our impending doom (Headgum studio, earthquakes, broken heart from no longer being a Delta Platinum Sky Club member,etc.).
I was in L.A. last year and ate at Spitz in Los Feliz. It was the most bland, disappointing food. Incidentally, Mike Mitchell was there, seated with someone else - I don't know whom. I'll take Mamoun's any day over that shit.
6:27 Nick has a wheeze and laugh at the same time and it's freaking me out. Also, Casey Tony, if you did the editing, why did you cut to a reaction shot from Mitch, instead of Nick during his now classic line, "Look at this nut I farmed, Woooaaahhh" 49:30

actually seeing nick read the intro is like when you see the wizard in wizard of oz
My heart dropped for a second when he mentioned Emma during the announcements. Was afraid she was leaving the show, phew. Happy birthday Emma!
Same!
@@alysonl1025 Same
same here. I genuinely gasped thinking they were announcing her leaving.
Emma would never leave the boys. She's their Tony Soprano. No Tony, no show.
Please have Gober on. He shouldn’t have been cancelled 😢
Justice for Gober
Can’t wait for MattGoberfest
I love how Mitch and Nick have clearly become good friends, despite some drama in the past. They're such a lovable pair with perfect chemistry.
Nick goes into his 5th Gober bit, and Hodgman calmly just opens a book. lmao

Wiger continuing his transformation into socal surfer dude, I like it!
NOT to be confused with a social surfer
Nick Thigher
The energy on this one is fantastic
Maybe I missed it because I kept losing consciousness when Wiges’ short shorts were on screen, but did we get Hodgman’s thoughts on Christmas being a cookie holiday? Also, Wiger’s smirk at the Snack Pack plug is a true highlight.
Happy birthday to Emma! Hodgman reading that book is hilarious!
Love the podcast, loved all the zoom meetings and all, but these videos in person really bring out something extra
I feel like these in person episodes have reinvigorated Wiger
Always love a hodgeman episode!
Nodding along appreciatively when Hodgman drops a Gleaming the Cube reference. Wincing with pleasure when he brings up Prayer for the Rollerboys
So psyched to hear Hodgman namecheck William Sleator! I love his books, especially The Green Futures of Tycho.
Plattsburgh native here. I nearly had a heart attack at the mention.
Mitch saying "I hope to meet it someday" re: the Lewinsky dress killed me lmao
Hodgman is always a great guest. Haven't laughed out loud at an episode as hard as I did here in a good long while.
Also: Mitch looks like he's slimming down. Good on ya, bud!
gober reminds me of Nick Kroll. i worked at kroll and they told us to watch the caveman tv show he starred in lol.
I gave this video a like because Hodgman said "Fry Hard with a Vengeance".
Watching the ads is making my day 😅
I need to see them record a Manscaped ad
The ad read part was the best part of the show! Wiger looked half comatose and Mitch did like 27 takes. The Bobert bit? Nah. Pink sludge ? Yum.
Nice slow run in the new animated intro!
Edit: Just waiting for the reveal of that photobooth bookmark
Can’t believe they got coralines dad 😮
1:53:41 keep an eye on Mitch’s slippery tootsie roll
thank you so much for this
I am so excited to watch this
8:04 wow wow wow wow wow wow wow wow wow
13:48 I think that's a reference to Louis CK putting out a special during covid and the note was something like "for those who need a laugh right now," as if it was a gesture of good will, but you still had to pay for it.
I think the vanilla and orange tootsie rolls are particularly good and stand out from starburst
love the video eps. wow.
Street Cart Döner to the tune of Zoot Suit Riot
Still the funniest drop I've ever heard.
Happy birthday Emmers!!
I just ordered Spitz the other day, so I'm automatically invested.
That's what Nick Wiger looks like now?!?
Good choice
Classic hunk
Happy birthday Emma!
that spoonman roast was top tier
If anyone was wondering, Wiger is clearly talking about Nick Kroll at the start .
Wow actually seeing the glee during every gober tangent. It never got old
Loved the episode, can't wait to see Gober's lost MiniDV tape of his show.
It's not Zoog, the hot sauce Schug is pronounced sKHoog.
I used to really like listening to Go Go Gober! until he started having Jordan Peterson on and enthusiastically agreed with him that the character of Mimi was a "taudry political statement in support of Drag."
Gober started hating the show after that, really killed the whole vibe.
Yeah but he did help Gober get off benzos. Unfortunately he’s still in that coma.
@@vulfpecker7371 I'm sure he'll be totally normal and fine when he wakes up
Who's that gobert dude they were talkin about that guy sounds hilarious
Dead Mans Hole is a banger.
BOWL!!
So, Wiger played Pete 'Dead Meat' Thompson in Hot Shots, right?
If the Doughboys come to NYC can you review Chopt
I lost it when Hodgman added to the lore by saying gobert is actually pronounced go-bear because he's fench Canadian
Hodgeman's Andor (and/or) joke was under appreciated. There is the beginnings of a great joke there
C'mon. The streetcart fries joke: A Streetcart Named DeFRIER
More like John Hokaman
The Hokas were the most interesting skit in this one
The powerful calves on John Hodgman are stealing the show, holy cow
wow
John Hogman
This guy really is from Dicktown
started from the bottom now im in the bottom
Hokas are bomb
Terrifying intro
Someone should do a drop like the Blues Brothers soul man but instead make it dough man
Who is gober?
Multiple takes on the live intro? Proof he’s not a robot?..
AI is getting scary.
I only saw one take
Happy birthday Gober!
You won’t find a Döner anywhere in Germany, that has corn in it…

no one understood the started from the bottom joke @ 4:38
No Philly (your best live audience) is egregious.
I was in L.A. last year and ate at Spitz in Los Feliz. It was the most bland, disappointing food. Incidentally, Mike Mitchell was there, seated with someone else - I don't know whom. I'll take Mamoun's any day over that shit.

I don't want stairs. That's too much work.
How is Utah one of the coldest states?!?! Most of it's a sweltering desert.
Elevation... lot of mountains in Utah. Plus deserts are cold at night. Probably brings the avg down.
Hundred bucks on it was Gober that spit on Mitch
Classic Gober...
Winter sucks !
just falawfel
More like falgood
😐BOWL!😐
I will not tolerate any anti spring discourse.
Mitch is slimming down

The only thing worse than eating a tootsie roll is hearing 3 people eat one directly into their microphones.
John looks like he should be making disgusting BBQ tiktoks or building themed motorcycles...
Wow actually seeing the glee during every gober tangent. It never got old
