I am (me & my wife) coming to Thailand March 3rd 2024 for about 28 days woohooo Bangkok for 8 nights then will go to either Phuket or Pattaya (havent decided yet) - my first time in Thailand. Will get your App when we arrive or a day before. We want a nice hotel near central park area and temples/walking streets. Any suggestions for hotels near everything? Cheaper is better but want nice stays - also, how do Thais look on people who smoke? Hotels allow smoking? Thanks for all your great content. JJ

OMG I miss udom suk. Earlyer this year I stayed there while I was interning in bangkok. It was my first time in asia and thailand. This was the perfect chill local place you can wish for. I was there for 8 weeks. went to this markt almost every night to get breakfast lunch or dinner. Man this video makes me sad that I am not there but also gives me a warm feeling because I had it so amazingly nice there.

You’ll be in the middle of a great area! There’s morning street food area next to the Caat building and if you walk up from bang rak (past the PO take a left and go past the Royal Orchard Sheridan to Talat Noi (little ally past River city) you’ll find a bunch of good vendors and family restaurants. Yes this was the old opium quarter and red light district. 😊
