How was your day, Bishop! ❤ Indeed, children are gifts from God. They are true miracles and as parents, we must cherish every moment that we have them. In the case of Zechariah and Elizabeth, it was a miraculous gift because they were already in their old age and passed the child-bearing age. But God in His kindness and compassion for them chose this couple to be the parent of John the Baptist. ❤ God could have chosen a younger set of parents, but He did not. God has His plans that we do not understand except perhaps when looking back. ❤ St. John the Baptist was born to preach the message of repentance -- the need to accept ourselves as sinners, and the need to accept Jesus as the Lamb of God who takes away our sins and those of the whole world.❤❤❤
