Today's episode is a bit of an intermission: I install all the things we built previously into the ship, talk about future plans, build turret armor, and announce a new video series!

00:00 Intro
00:53 Armor and Gun Installations
06:30 Budget Talks
10:44 Turret Armor; fitting and planning
14:58 Turret armor testing
19:30 Final installation and current costs
23:40 Outro
Before all the armor theorists come at me for using poles...I know they're worse! They have less KD reduction, more weight, more cost, etc etc than most other options. But the turrets can be pointing in MANY different directions and fitting in beam slopes to account for all these directions would've been...awkward. So poles are an easy cop-out. And they also performed slightly better in my testing so...I'm using em.
The keyboard building did make me happy
I know this is super late, but I'd like to point out that the Ragnarok used to sit so low in the water, it almost seemed ready to flood in still water. Retrofitting the armor may not have had as much of an effect at first because you were used to working on it, but seeing it before/after through bingewatching the series, you really can tell how massive an improvement you have made to the ship.
Seeing keyboard building made my day thank you
13:56 , one you're a giant ship, pierce pacs would be underwhelming, Redundancy can help you there mate
On the intro, I think the thing wrong about my craft is the fact that it melts CPUs, it is a crime against computers of all types.
Also on note about turret armour, I think that the main threat with having most armour on the frontside is that if the ragnarok fights multiple craft and is attacked on both sides. But in 1v1s, there is no reason not to.
We're gonna have to have some..."conversations" on how to include your craft in anything I do lmao. And yeah, in campaign that'll matter. But if I do a tournament it'll be 1v1 only. It's a battleship killer.
"Send me your bad ships"
Ah so everything i make lol
21:58 probably because the hull isn’t separated into different watertight compartments
If I sent you my craft, you’d just say it’s an unfixable dumpster fire. Cause it is😂
you gotta post the music playlist, love it
It's just uh, buncha Kirby Air Ride OST songs and the occasional song from other Kirby games with a few xenoblade. I'm gonna put more in, but I'm lazy right now with audio editing.
Never played this game before but would surrounding the turret with poles be best? Something like
Metal wall then two layers of pole?
Soon as my ship is done, I'll send it. I need advice lol.
Yup, just feel free to pop it in the specific channel in discord. Although if you want guaranteed, immediate advice make sure to ask in general
I'll begin work on a ship that I might send in as soon as I finish my new computer. My current computer can run FTD just fine, but I'm waiting because... reasons!
Drop the might, send it in anyway!
@@Brenzo44 I haven't begun working on it yet, but it's going to be like the Deutschland-class Panzerschiffe but with some slightly-meta bits.
