Changing Engine Oil and Front Axle Oil In the Kubota BX2380

Maintenance is due on the Kubota BX2380. Engine oil is due, I'm overdue on the front axle fluid, blow out the air filter, and grease. Fuel filter is also due but I didn't have one available so I'll change that in a week or so when it comes in. #kubotatractor

On my older Kubota I had to stop using Super UDT due to it seeping out. Thankfully after switching the seeping stopped. That seeping and a weld crack on a wheel are the only issues I have had. 30 years of running like a clock is not bad.

I use super udt in the BX & L with no leaks. The older machines might not have the tolerances for the thinner super udt. I think it is a good fluid but would also switch to avoid leaks/seeping.

What about the outer hubs? Does the outer hub fill as the axle is filled? The outer hubs also has drain plugs

Yes, the outer hubs fill from the main axle. Each outer hub has to be drained separately.

I heard 80/90 is good for the axle oil..
