  • True or false, does distance make the heart grow fonder?
    Kourtney and Travis think so…
We've heard this week that Kourtney & Travis (despite being married) have chosen not to live together and they’re not the only celeb couple to do so with Gwenth Paltrow, Ashley Graham ( & reportedly even the Beckhams) doing the same.
So, if you can afford it (& fair play to those that can) is this the secret to a happy marriage or relationship?
A study from the Journal of Communication found that long-distance relationships have more meaningful interactions than those who see each other every day, leading to higher levels of intimacy.
Since couples in long-distance relationships have limited face-to-face interactions, they try harder to keep the romance alive with frequent communication and deeper discussions about things like love, trust, and future plans.
But does this mean long-distance relationships are better than close-proximity ones? Apparently not.
According to a separate study, it just means that, as humans, we invest more in relationships when there is a risk of this relationship weakening. We want to keep the spark alive, no matter how far apart we are.
So, who's signing up to live in the shed?
