Shana Simpson Indeed. Jane is a huge Punisher fan, or at the very least he really relates to the character and did not like the direction they were taking. He refers to Laundry Day as a love letter to Frank Castle. Reminds me of how Ryan Reynolds warned Fox that their take on Deadpool in Origins was not going to be popular with fans and how they were misusing the character in every possible way.
This song has such an ideal march vibe, reflects exactly what The Punisher character is, honor for the living and for the dead, it's a beautiful piece of music.

Such a great theme. What I loved about Jane in this movie was how real he felt. He wasn't a big hulking cartoonish superhero like other Punishers are. He was just a real guy that was also a badass and wanted to punish (not avenge) those who wronged him. Personally one of the most underrated movies ever and Jane's best performance.
As a person who enjoys guilty pleasures such as this, I'd say the same thing to those annoying comic or MCU purists acting like wannabe critics towards this. Like what Optimus in Earthspark said to Soundwave about Megatron being a better protector of their kind than he'd ever be. I too am my own better Marvel fan of enjoying guilty pleasures of movies and cartoons from the 90's and 2000's while being well-aware of flaws than those MCU or Comic purists will ever be lmao.

Say what you will about the script of this movie but to me, this is the definitive Punisher theme. It capture the essence of the Punisher, a one man army after he lost everything, now he has nothing left but a war on crime.
By far one of the best superhero films I have ever watched especially character where you can't help but constantly feel for him and what he's going to do next. Like the theme itself is inspiring. It makes you feel REALITY. It makes you feel for how justice isn't always there and sometimes you gotta take things into your hands. Such an underrated actor and movie as well. Although there are some plot holes in this movie, I love watching it. And this theme song is great and fits the dark and depressing tone yet also captures the feeling of redemption throughout the movie.
That's not how the Penance Stare works. It turns all the pain you've ever caused against you not the regrets and in the Punisher's case the Penance Stare would destroy him since he kills bad guys.
This song hits all the right notes about the character because the trumpet has that old soldier feel by way of band of brothers with some essence of the old west thrown in for flavor
i remember seeing this in theaters, still was a good movie. hope to see a new punisher movie. with same actor from the netflix series. in the mcu, especially since blade will be in it.
I just realized Punisher seems like he’s one of the only superheroes who could exist in real life. He doesn’t have any superpowers or crazy gadgets he’s just a guy with a ton of training and a ton of guns. Plus I feel like there is people out there who have his mindset when it comes to criminals.
the movie was not perfect, but by todays standards its top tier. The theme itself was fantastic and the scene at the end, when it defeats travolta, dragging him was fantastic.
I've never seen The Punisher before until last nite.......That movie is kick ass!!!!! My favorite part is the russian fight and the ending when John Travolta gets dragged to his slow firery death!!!! I'd watch that movie over and over!!!!! Action packed and truly a must see!!! Love it!
Warzone had the savagery, Dolph Lungren had the look, the netflix show had the story, but this had it all as well as the cold, unfeeling , calculative part of CAstle as a whole.

This song should be in the new Punisher series. Seriously, it's so perfect! It embodies the character in every way. It's heroic, yet tragic. And the "old mafia movie" vibe I get from it just pulls the whole thing together.

Although there are some plot holes in this movie, I love watching it. And this theme song is great and fits the dark and depressing tone yet also captures the feeling of redemption throughout the movie.

That's not how the Penance Stare works. It turns all the pain you've ever caused against you not the regrets and in the Punisher's case the Penance Stare would destroy him since he kills bad guys.
The Punisher only kills bad people. Ghost Rider's penance stare only works on the wicked. Those who prey on the innocent.

This song hits all the right notes about the character because the trumpet has that old soldier feel by way of band of brothers with some essence of the old west thrown in for flavor
i remember seeing this in theaters, still was a good movie. hope to see a new punisher movie. with same actor from the netflix series. in the mcu, especially since blade will be in it.

I just realized Punisher seems like he’s one of the only superheroes who could exist in real life. He doesn’t have any superpowers or crazy gadgets he’s just a guy with a ton of training and a ton of guns. Plus I feel like there is people out there who have his mindset when it comes to criminals.

the movie was not perfect, but by todays standards its top tier. The theme itself was fantastic and the scene at the end, when it defeats travolta, dragging him was fantastic.

I've never seen The Punisher before until last nite.......That movie is kick ass!!!!! My favorite part is the russian fight and the ending when John Travolta gets dragged to his slow firery death!!!! I'd watch that movie over and over!!!!! Action packed and truly a must see!!! Love it!
Warzone had the savagery, Dolph Lungren had the look, the netflix show had the story, but this had it all as well as the cold, unfeeling , calculative part of CAstle as a whole.
