- www.safetyvideos.com/Lockout_... This lock out tag out training video (LOTO) will help train your authorized and affected employees on proper lockout tagout safety. The principles taught in this lockout tagout training are geared towards the relevant OSHA Standard which is Title 29 Code of Federal Regulations (CFR) Part 1910.147
Lockout tag out training is essential when you are working on most equipment and machinery.
You need to identify all of the energy sources for the equipment you’re working on.
Each worker must attach their own LOTO device at a power source.
Equipment and systems must be tested after locks and tags are in place.
The person removing the last lock-out device must make sure that the work on the machine is completed, and that it’s safe to operate.
One addition that should be made is when locking out hydraulic and especially pneumatic machinery. Not only do you have to check to ensure the stored energy is disapated, but it is also good practice to have a plan and procedure to ensure energy is not slowly built back up in the event of a bad valve. One method is to lock it out, disepate the stored energy, waiting a designated period of time, and then recheck to see if energy has leaked into the system. Other methods include gauges that allow visual observation, or installing or cutting in check valves with low pressure settings (ex. 1/10 the required pressure to operate the machinery).
thank you!
thank you! Be safe ✌🏻
I'm watching this video so I can fall asleep
Me too 😂
Got an interview tomorrow and I'm brushing up on things. Thank you.
me too
to be honest, the best info video I have seen in my 13-year-old journey of being a mechanical engineer. Thank you!
excellent training for anyone working with heavy machinery!
Thank you Amy walters
Thank you so much for your reporting !
Thomas Stone, well stated advice!
this is very useful
thanks for the sharing information.
also along the pipe require to release vua drains syatem for any liquid and venting line any pressure inside of facility prior to maintenance and do repaire activity to get safe.
great video. so educative
AFTER A LOCKOUT THERE MAY BE ENERGY? 1. HYDRAULIC: MOVE TAKES OR DRAINS, 2. ELECTRIC: GROUND, MOTORIZED: SPRINGS? THE MACHINE MUST BE ACTIVATED IN THE NON-ENERGIZED EQUIPMENT?
HYDRAULIC REQUIRES DOWNSTEAM SWITCHES AND BLIND SPOTS IN THE LINE TO DRAIN DOWNSTREAM?
ELECTRICAL: SWICTHED ON S CAN CAUSE EXPLOSIONS THROUGH ARCS STAND TO THE RIGHT SIDE OF A SWITCH AND THROW IT?
IN A RESTART THE LOCKOUT PROCEDURE SHOULD BE DONE AGAIN?
CAPACITORS HAVE TO BE GROUNDED IN ELECTRICAL?
ONCE ELECTRICAL EQUIPMENT IS OFF IT WILL NOT MOVE?
THERE MAY BE ENERGY IN ELECTRICAL LOCKOUT LIKE ARC FLASHES LIKE AN ELECTRICAL.EXPLOSION FROM CONNECTION WITH OTHER PARTS OF GROUND?
WHEN FINISHED THE LOCKOUT EQUIPMENT SHOULD BE RETURNED TO THE LOCKOUT EQUIP!ENT AREA?
WHEN CONTRACTORS ARE WORKING ON MACHINES THEY SHOULD CHECK WITH SUPERVISORS?
THE FACILITY MUST HAVE IN WRITING LOCKOUT PROCEDURES AND TRAINING MARKERS?
TAGGING THE MACHINE TELLS OTHERS THE MACHINE IS BEING WORKED ON?
NEUMATIC DRAIN THE AIR?
AFTER THE STOP OF MOVEMENT THE LOCKOUT TAG AND LOCK IS APPLIED?
THE LOCKOUT TAGOUT EQUIPMENT WILL BE PROVIDED? NOTHING ELSE CAN BE USED?
??
dang
GROUPS WORKING ON MACHINES CAN ASSIGN ONE EF MPLOYEE PER GROUP?
EMPLOYEE?
0:39
10:20
TO KEEP EMPLOYEES FROM REENERGIZING A MACHINE THS,AT IS,BEING REPAIRED IS LOCKOUT?
THAT IS?
One lock one key
2:50 lockout taggout devices
Thank you
Yo
THE TAG SHOULD REMOVED BY THE SAME EMPLOYEE THAT TAGGED THE MACHINE?
Yes
Wait what did I just watch
A workplace training video.
@@connoregan2874 bro I freal watched the whole 20 mins of this and I don’t even have a job and never had
lock out tag out typically done on damaged machines or to keep prying hands off so your not going threw fast shock training to free the victims
@@mountaindistancestrider6855 lol I accidentally watched the entire thing and I have no need too
