This 8 mins is more profound than anything I've heard in 37 years of listening to music and lyrics. The video is not the event here... the message and moral is something to not only think about but something to live by. The whole album leads up to this beautiful realization and self reflection that I think everyone can learn from. Thank you sincerely with all i have to give. Love the streets always will.
I love you and it back brother. This is the culmination of one of the most under-rated and best albums of all time. And your fellow love for it makes us kin. Gotta love Mike, he's a genius.
Try not to be such a twat and be more charitable in your assumptions Look for the good in people (and yourself) instead of just picking the low hanging fruit of each persons flaws and imperfections that manifest in everyday “problems”
@@georgwalt7978 The catharsis in it is immeasurable. It's such a beautiful ending to one of the best forgotten albums of all time. Your comment is a strange coincidence. I've just suffered a heart attack and been listening to this album a lot whilst getting better (I hope.) Peace and love brother.
The more you listen to Mike’s lyrics the more you realise how genius his songs are, this song for example has a deep meaning to it saying you’re life is a consequence of your actions and how you choose to react to different events, absolute masterful storytelling.
Man, I love the lego animation for this. I'm sure it took forever to script and actually animate, but it was worth it. It'd be cool to see more people do this for music videos.
Just a magical journey of an album. Pulls the strings on a relationship, that didn't work. I adore this underated album for the masses. Stop picking a song or 2 from this album and listen to the thing and take it in please.
@en1bra Thanks a lot :) We actually listened to the entire album in school. We split up in groups, and each class had a group for each song. I didn't really like the song that much at first, because it wasn't quite my genre, but i came to like it over time, actually. I reckon you can find more vids from this album from my school on here... (english teacher was a major fan)
You learnt A Grand Don't Come For Free in an English lesson at school? WTF? Which school is this and what county? That is one decent teacher. Had were force fed Shakespeare until none of us even liked it anymore. Did you do Shakespeare? Tell me you did that, share the pain mate!
@@nigelbenn4642 going on the names and the Duvel in the middle of the room..my guess is Belgium 🇧🇪 And no we don't get Shakespeare rammed down our throat unless you're studying English in higher education.
Best video I've ever seen I loved this song when the album first come out still listen to the album all the time and this video is amazing well done and special shout-out to the polar bear
A great video, you're a talented guy and the person who helped you too!! Thanks for uploading and sharing this, its a great song and the video is amazing too.
@methman99 The train was to represent "the end of something i did not want to end"... he doesn't want the train to stop, but, unfortunately, it does.. a pretty poor analogy, i know sorry for the late reaction btw
not bad... whats the train/tram got to do with it? did u listen to whole album, to understand this song? (i.e. whole album from start to end is a story, empty cans is final part of story)
Thanks for that lovely interpretation, really well done. To repeat methman99's question: did you listen to the whole album and do you actually like the song? Really great. I guess Mike Skinner would love it too, he's open to such things. Send an email or so. :) (This is my first comment in youtube but after that video, I had to...! :) )
@jeroen0327 I like that teacher. ;) Normally also not my genre, but that "band" is just genius. Did you stick with Mike Skinner's music or ignored him after that song? Thanks for the hint, I'm gonna try to find other vids from your school.
