58:40 I would unironically enjoy an SCP about a spooky rental caravan. Holiday makers arrive at the campsite, pay and get their key only to find that they have been mildly inconvenienced because the caravan is just an empty facade made of cardboard and now they have to go all the way back to the check in desk to demand a refund. As the tourists argue with the site owner the caravan disappears only to reappear at another campsite and the whole sordid cycle begins anew.
My head cannon for the first game is that there was no demon, but someone in the cavern beneath the outhouse that was fucking with the kid but they eventually left and now the kid hears voices. With Quiet Is The Eyes, I was expecting the twist to be that our protagonist was really the experiment & the creature we keep seeing is either something else entirely or just our characters warped proception of things.
Chilla's Art Jisatsu ending was a new thing they've added in like with in the ending of the Marvel's films, only no squels afterwards. Nightwatch is one of those games that needs real voice acting indeed.
Interesting thing about all the Christianity stuff. In Japan they view Christianity much like people in the west view the occult. It's like a weird thing to use when you want things to appear mystical. Which is why a lot of Japanese media will show nuns as being magical.

A nice little collection! But I totally agree with you - text-to-speech is a last resort kind of thing and doesn't really work. I mean, I'm sure it could be used together with actual human voice actors to create a certain effect, but not as replacement. That second game could have been better if the voices weren't so silly.
It's so weird hearing perfectly fluent English words spoken completely wrong in a sentence without any mistakes or weird human quirks- or emotion by an AI so close to proper human tone.
Second game is definitely text to speech. The cadence of the line delivery is a bit off and I find it hard to believe the devs would use American and Australian voice actors
