yes its ridicoulus ive had Netflix for a long time and I called to ask them why are they the only one raising prices? they are the only ones who do, I told them hulu doesn't raised prices if anything they are having a 5.99 special. it includes adds but that's ok and I pay 5.99 for amazon prime being on disability and the price wont be raised. so I asked Netflix why they are the only ones raising the price and I told them they need to have lower prices for people in certain demos that cant afford for them to keep raising the price>? the Netflix rep told me that because they are going to have better programming that's why and I told wrong hulu has wonderful shows winning awards,
They have to convert their service into a live tv service which would compete with sling, hulu tv, youtube tv, playstation and direct tv streaming services. Sling is the cheapest with its base at $25/month so wed have to cough up at least $30 a month if they did that. However, they could keep their current service separate and also have a live tv service similar to how hulu has different service offerings.
NHL, MLB, NBA all have their own apps, so why would they need Netflix when they can make their own money? Plus there are blackout games that are televised only on nbc for example. So they would be paying even more to show live games

I have Hulu as well but I just share my friends Neflix for the stuff Hulu doesn't have that Netflix has. I just use Neflix for a handful of shows like the the DC CW shows like Flash, Arrow etc. & Hulu I use for allot of the older Adult Swim shows & other stuff. Hulu actually got allot of stuff Netflix ditched.

No. Going to hulu defeats the purpose of cord cutting. The people who own hulu are the same people who were f'ing the public with cable prices for generations. Once they get a monopoly again, they're going to raise the price back up.

For instance, Netflix only has season one of attack on Titan while the show is currently on season 3. And the Pokemon anime does not have the complete full first season, and then they skip seasons 2-17, completely gone. Some of the most searched things on Netflix, other than trends, are things THAT ARE NOT ON NETFLIX.

As a owner of both I have to agree that hulu movies are not good but the TV shows are great. The audience is different for both companies (anime, TV shows, daily uploads, drama, live TV which means news sports and etc). Netflix has better movies and targets younger audiences because they have avengers, love dramas, love movies, and of course Stranger Things. Btw I'm 13 and this is my honest review. I prefer hulu because I love sports, news, cartoons, and adult cartoons.

Personally, I'm going to get both. I will use Netflix to binge watch Stranger Things (which I have never seen) and maybe watch an occasional movie. Hulu I would probably watch more of my favorite shows. And I guess my mom and dad will probably watch a couple of shows too. But they will also get an attena with local stations.
Let me just step in to add a few things that I noticed missing right away: You can get rid of ads on Hulu if you pay more. Hulu also has the screen cast feature. Netflix app doesn't allow you to change quality. Netflix web app doesn't have mini player.
I've just noticed that Hulu will let you remove something from appearing on the main screen menus by disliking them. No other service I've seen does the user this favor.

A few things you missed. Netflix is free with T-Mobile depending on the deal package you pick. Netflix has a age restriction component. There is a website ( i forgot it, just Google it) that tells you what shows are coming/leaving Netflix. I think you can give your own personal ratings of a show on Netflix.

The Streaming Queue seems to be broken! If you click "Move to top" (under My List) it puts that movie to the very END of the list!!!! (with no easy way to move it to the top of the list) I called it into support and they knew about the bug, but have not fixed it! (for ~a month or more now!)
Netflix has also raised prices and is losing all it's Disney and DC properties and Disney includes Marvel, Star Wars, Pixar, and Disney and DC includes Gotham and no new seasons, they also are considering adding commercials, furthermore you mentioned that Netflix has more subscribers than HULU however what you didn't say was that HULu is only offered in the U.S. and Netflix is offered world wide so you left out some key information I think

Figured to try Hulu, much more of a t.v watcher than movies, and while Netflix does have great content, most people subscribe to find and watch their favorite content. Yes ,on Hulu "Some" shows still have adds. It's Due Licensing reasons. which Hulu explains if you read everything . As for Netflix , They Just raised the prices Again! I’m just hating on Netflix because they removed Impractical Jokers and Regular Show Honestly, Netflix is only good because of its Netflix originals, like The Umbrella Academy, Stranger Things, Locke and Key, and a few others, Hulu is great for nostalgic cartoons like Regular Show, Adventure Time, etc So I would give Netflix 7/10 This is due to frequently not catching up on seasons of shows, and constantly removing shows to add horrendous shows like “Cuties”, but it makes up for this by having some of my favorite shows ever like The Umbrella Academy And Stranger things Hulu would get 9/10 This is because it doesn’t try to clear up space by getting rid of our old favorite shows to add boring shit or horrendous shows like Cuties. Netflix forced me to open a Hulu account when they, unannounced, dropped the first 3 seasons of Heartland. It is certainly their right to make decisions such as this but a little heads up would have allow those watching such series to binge watch series segments which were about to be dropped. The ad supported Hulu service is filled with commercials repeated ad nauseam. There are many services which do not flood a program with a bunch of low budget and often very dumb commercials. As soon as I catch up on Heartland, Hulu will be dropped.

Hulu tv is like sling and the other live tv services. They all have ads for the most part. Its not a library service like the base hulu or netflix.

I have Hulu on my smart tv and i see very few commercials. When there is its only one or two short ones

The Streaming Queue seems to be broken! If you click "Move to top" (under My List) it puts that movie to the very END of the list!!!! (with no easy way to move it to the top of the list) I called it into support and they knew about the bug, but have not fixed it! (for ~a month or more now!)

Netflix has also raised prices and is losing all it's Disney and DC properties and Disney includes Marvel, Star Wars, Pixar, and Disney and DC includes Gotham and no new seasons, they also are considering adding commercials, furthermore you mentioned that Netflix has more subscribers than HULU however what you didn't say was that HULu is only offered in the U.S. and Netflix is offered world wide so you left out some key information I think
Too many services out there now. It was nice when everything was just on netflix. I'm sure most of them will end up bombing.
I went to Germany and my cousins had Netflix but Hulu wouldn't work on my tablet, and it wasn't on the Xbox store
@@incredibletyphoon4558 Well yeah context is the whole story which no one wants to tell you practically because he says Netflix has more users than HULU what he doesn't say is Netflix is a global corporation competing with all the other big entertainment studios and available in practically every country; HULU is only available in the U.S. and likely will be until at least this September when their majority is owned by Disney and even then it might not expand globally for a while with Disney launching their other streaming service
Its because Disney owns a percentage of Hulu, they will want exclusivity

Figured to try Hulu, much more of a t.v watcher than movies, and while Netflix does have great content, most people subscribe to find and watch their favorite content. Netflix marvel series being booted in favor of Disney licensing issues is a bummer, but loving the fact most cable shows are on Hulu, debut after they air in 24 hrs and offer just that little extra over Netflix.
Forgot to mention, HUGE draw in for anime watchers now that Funimation announced their partnership. Dunno when though.

Yes ,on Hulu "Some" shows still have adds. It's Due Licensing reasons. which Hulu explains if you read everything . As for Netflix , They Just raised the prices Again! Been with Netflix Almost 15 years , and they are not the reasonable company they started out being . Netflix does have some Good Original Content , but the constant price changes and removal of other shows and movies to make room for their own stuff kind of stinks.

I’m just hating on Netflix because they removed Impractical Jokers and Regular Show
Honestly, Netflix is only good because of its Netflix originals, like The Umbrella Academy, Stranger Things, Locke and Key, and a few others, Hulu is great for nostalgic cartoons like Regular Show, Adventure Time, etc
So I would give Netflix 7/10
This is due to frequently not catching up on seasons of shows, and constantly removing shows to add horrendous shows like “Cuties”, but it makes up for this by having some of my favorite shows ever like The Umbrella Academy And Stranger things
Hulu would get 9/10
This is because it doesn’t try to clear up space by getting rid of our old favorite shows to add boring shit or horrendous shows like Cuties.

If you live in Malaysia they have another plan for netflix that is rm17 which is $3 but its mobile plan so you can't watch it on TV or laptop

I canceled Netflix had it for over 10 years and they want more money for nothing. I kept Hulu as I don't have cable anymore its pretty handy for 12 bucks.

Netflix forced me to open a Hulu account when they, unannounced, dropped the first 3 seasons of Heartland. It is certainly their right to make decisions such as this but a little heads up would have allow those watching such series to binge watch series segments which were about to be dropped.
The ad supported Hulu service is filled with commercials repeated ad nauseam.
There are many services which do not flood a program with a bunch of low budget and often very dumb commercials.
As soon as I catch up on Heartland, Hulu will be dropped.
