When I was in College in the 80's, 2 different Lady Professors of mine (English Literature, and also my Theater Vocal Coach Professor), held end of the year Tea/Punch home bakes cakes and scones parties for their classes/students. Only time I have been here but it still looks the same. Beautiful historic homes, the 2 I visited had French Doors that opened out into Courtyards with gardens and fountains. Just lovely!
Dickeyville was even served by a scenic streetcar line coming west out of Walbrook Jct. and passing through Windsor Hills. It went out as far as the Lorraine Park Cemetery gate.
It’s certainly a great place to live as well as to visit. I’ve been here over 20 years and having just married my next door neighbor plan to stay for another few decades.
Stumbling upon this neighborhood randomly on a bike ride like 8 years ago was bewildering. Much like Stone hill or Tuscany Canterbury it just feels totally different from the rest of baltimore, or even maryland.
i had a chance to buy a house there. the man was going to throw his beautiful daughter into the bargain. stupid me, i chickened out for some reason... true story.

You think it was Algonquian? You are a historian, so shouldn't you check and verify.
