@@clintonclaasen you can read the description on video. This is piano transcription of the original suite for orchestra by Rachmaninoff but it is lost.
The Allegro Moderato has so much promise, wish he'd revised it - to think he produced his wonderful (still unrevised) first Piano Concerto around the same time (1891)! I think Ekaterina plays these (1:12) with too much rubato, it makes the mvt uneven imo
Its a youth piece. He wrote it when he was 17-18 years old. This is why seem foreign to you maybe. Its transcription because rachmaninoff couldn't fully translate it to orchestra, so he left it to the piano transcription. Found sheets on his uncle Siloti's archive.
Rachmaninoff fan and never heard of this piece thank you

Nice to finally see the full performance with the sheet music!
This is so beautiful.
Amazing
2:50 enters half a beat late. I actually find it very pleasing!
This section is very amaze me. That recording is my favourite on that suite. She played very well i think. Also glad you liked it :)
Wow
Some parts sound so schubert alike

Wow, the last movement theme is incredible, and unexpectedly cheerful for Rach. Too bad there's little development of the material
❤❤❤❤❤❤
the first part is interesting
what is the opus number?
It doesnt have a opus number. A later discovered posthumous piece
it was composed when R. was 18
@@DanielKRuihow the hack do you compose something like this at 18? He was a genius.

I like that section this way i think
How to play this, without any indication of musical nuances ?
From 8:36 ...
Как хорошо, что дали ноты, а то не дай бог, подумали, что это С.В. написал какой-то бред.
This is his early composition. He was 17 at the moment of writing.
Doesn't sound like Rachmaninoff. Are they sure it's a transcription of something by him?
