My small back garden was empty when I moved in. I used to get lots of mosquitoes and spiders. Now half of it is covered with rosemary and the other half with lemongrass. I don't have any mosquitoes at all. The side with all the lemongrass does not spiders either. However, the side the rosemary still has spiders. In fact the rosemary bush itself gets spider web that I regularly remove the webs or it will be completely covered. I have my garden for 10 years now.
As a beginner gardener I did not know that lemongrass is one of mosquitoes repellent. I plant lemongrass is because I am using it a lot in my cooking. Also, I love garlic, basil and marigold and lavender that I have in my garden so far. If you have a chance please check on plants. Thanks 🙏
I just saw another video on this topic. Lavender was dismissed as having no effect on repelling mosquitos. I've got several rosemary plants that I'm transferring to a portable trough. Hopeful.
We in India grow mint, holy basil in full sun even during summer where it's upto 43°c so I don't see any problem if you water regularly. Even lemon grass, marigold they all grow very healthy in India.
Good info but you really need to talk a lot louder because hard to hear with the music in the background as loud as ur voice otherwise great & informative 😊

SoCal mosquitoes are extremely brutal. One can't go outside for minute during summer time. I'll try these and see if anything helps.

Will any of the plants you mention survive south Florida weather? Such as extreme heat, full sun, dry season, wet season? RSVP - I am not a gardener.
