@anwnerd1762 Yeah, especially when you take in mind that no other year has had even 5 new major winners iirc. Hell, last year's only new major winner was Zomba. We've also seen more people be able to challenge Acola and Miya in Japan, and even if they almost always bounce back, it's still nice to see more competitors be able to take down the two best of Japan
At this rate raki may be the highest ranked kazuya because riddles hasn’t been using kazuya as much and overall hasn’t been doing the greatest due to his Steve and min min issue
Rarikkusu's tag at a recent tournament was Ralix, which makes me wonder if thats what their tag really is since they would be spelled the same in Japanese
He's romanized it as both Ralix and Rarikkusu for a long time. Maybe he should make Ralix the official one, unless he likes RisterMice and English commentators in general hilariously pronouncing it as RarikuKUUsu.
@@cullenhutchison6528 Compare Ralix to Fox, which they render as フォックス (Fokkusu), but also do not pronounce it as FokkUUsu. They mostly say it as "Fox" but might add the "u" at the end, from what I hear in Japanese commentary. It's a very syllabic language and these words are spelled in the katakana writing system, where the symbols represent syllables.
If I had a nickel for every time I found a known Corrin main used JoyCons, I would have two nickels. Which isn't a lot, but it's weird that it happened twice.
Love all these major recaps man!! Its so nice to have a consistent content creator in smash these days. Would you be open to trying other games for the soundtrack of the top 8 matches? Stuff like Mario & Luigi, Undertale, any Sonic game, Fall Guys, etc i think would work really well for this format of video.
@@dinnerlord65 The thing is, right now, I can't think of 5 players better than Raru this season. He has the second most major wins in the season, has a supermajor win in his hand, has missed top 8 only three times in the entire season. In fact, he lowkey has a chance for top 3 when you think about it. Aside from Miya and Sparg0, I have checked every single player that could pose some competition to Raru, and at the end of it, the only player that I would say could be rank higher than Raru is Acola, because Acola is the most consistent player in the season, but even then, Raru has more major wins, and has a supermajor win that Acola doesn't have, so it's really a case of peak vs consistency.
"Emphatic finish" is an understatement, even. Raki taunted Taikei first two games by cheekily timing him out, then in game 3 made a *reverse 3 stock from benig down 102% to 0% on the first stock*. Some of the most disgusting advantage state plays I’ve ever seen. The last gimp with the block was done to perfection 😎
Raki defeated Doramigi with KAZUYA? Dude i hate steve with al my might but if RK could do that against the best minmin i have not doubt of his skill level
Rister makes good content don’t get me wrong. But craziest major of the year?? The top 3 was Steve/kazuya, min min, and sonic. That’s like as basic as you could possibly get
@ look at the title of the video and then retype your comment. And I’m not saying this because the characters are “lame” it’s because that’s the most stereotypical characters they could even possibly be playing and yet in the title it’s called craziest major of the year. Maybe put some thought into what I said before typing a comment next time bud.
I streamed me editing this video RIGHT HERE on the channel! Which of y'all were there? LMK!

There
Heyo
“In a close game 5 set, defeated Tsuna 3-0”
Hehe mispeaking
I guess whenever Acola doesn’t attend a Japanese major, his power just gets transferred to the next Steve like the damn avatar
😂😂😂
Fun fact, top 8 only had one prior major winner in it and this event crowned the 10th person to win their first major in 2024
Honestly this shows that there's still so much more ultimate to be played and we're not done with this game yet

@@firefatesgaming1855 Crown 3 was his first major win, which happened in 2023
It helps that in this tournament, the only people that won majors are Doramigi and Snow
One mistake you made is that the player you thought was Lax was actually Lux, who plays Rosalina
Luigi looking good in the current meta. Mhhh....
fighters pass 3 patch out Luigi, min min, sonic, bayo, and Steve

One would think they would have corrected people already if it was.

Still not getting a w in top 8 since Kameme
Toatti didn't beat Lax the Chrom player. The player he beat is called Lux, and is a Rosalina main.
15:11 bro tweaking
😂😂😂😂
Most sane Luigi opponent
This tournament was so wild! I wonder if this placement will ruin raru’s chance to get top 5
Raru had chances of top 5?
@@dinnerlord65Of course he can, he has been consistently in top 8 in super majors, even when he comes here in Supernova he was in top 8.

Rarikkusu is an excellent player. Being on seed 11 doesn't show the quality of this player. He does an excellent run as DK
That first set highlights you showed had the most excited Japanese commentary I’ve ever heard

So first, it's craziest major of the season, not year. Second, imagine saying the major isn't crazy just because of the characters the player plays
