tony is incredibly underrated with how he keeps the pace of the show going, laughs directly into the mic when the crowd isnt feeling the joke as much, and steers people away from bits he can see aren't having the desired effect. It's rare to see David Lucas of all people fire off a bunch of jokes in a row without landing a big hitter but tony immediately restores the vibes and brings the convo into territory where new material can be had. The fact that so many people shit talk him for what he adds to the show is honestly a testament to just how GOOD he is at making sure you and everyone else knows it is YOUR spotlight and YOUR moment to be funny. fucking killer man keep up the great work big dog
