Been playing Jorm since he released, played every iteration of the character. The fact that hammer slam is currently one of the worst moves in the game and yet has always been his identity, just infuriates me.
I agree. The pre-rework Jorm's slam had value to it, since it was something that rarely happened in a fight, or only happened 1 or 2 times, and it had big damage, which made it into a move with value. The slam post-rework is just another spammy bash with barely any value nor satisfaction to it. It just another tool in his kit, that funnily enough is worst out of all of the sweeps / charged bashes...
@@indiapalace7481 I sadly agree. Jorm nowadays is "better" and more "viable" than pre-rework, but what the current Jorm lacks is fun and uniqueness. Everything with the current Jorm is about spam, just constant feint spam or Light spam or unblockable spam or bash spam. Its very sad to have someone who was so unique but still horrible and still was my personal favorite get destroyed as a character. Maybe one day they will either revoke the rework or rework him again to his old self, since the current META of the game is all about spam. So having someone who will not let you spam and actually use your brain is something I would say is healthy for the game!
Jorm turns into a mix between Afeera and Cent...The recents reworks made the heroes less awesome to play... Orochi has no variation on his deflect, Shinobi doesnt like the promised large range stance hero, Glad cant punish anymore with Toe Stab, Shugoki cant knockdown enemies with his Charge anymore, cuz his charge turn into a generic sprint like Shinobi's Sprint, i know is really silly Shugoki release with his hug, but if ubi made a formula to Shugoki Hugs liks that (Less health pool=higher damage, cant overpass 25% enemy hp) should be really interesting. Conqueror isnt the turtle god anyway, he loss his superior block on his heavies, also he has none fullblock on his zone attack and Ubisoft isnt interested to nerf his bashes instead of his Tankiness moveset
Sometimes,I still think Jorm needs his prerework move where he sends you in fly so fall on ground and do cockslam if you doesn't have stamina.I know it doesn't make sense because this move doesn't correlate with his moveset right now,but it would be just so enjoyable if they would return such move. Also I just look at HL right now and think that only two 3 things he really needed to change just to be playble and still as enjoyable to plays as now,is just giving him better stamina cost,and a little speeding up his kick, because even in rework its just so slow,that only reason why it makes sense,is because in rework its feintable,but still,its just reactable,and giving him zone from rework, would just really make him much more interesting in 4 v 4.Also,if I understood this right,his stance lights right now is actually 500 and in rework they gonna make them actually 400 ms,for my rework vision it would be usable to have too
I agree. I want the old Jorm back, with ever so slight changes to him. One of them is his zone finisher which gives him an "infinite" chain, should be added to pre-rework Jorm. Its a very nice and good tool to have + the animation is great! Since Gladiator got his OOS toestab back, then Jorm should have his OOS stamina finisher Heavy's as well. It makes no sense to remove it from one character, to then add it back to another... I need to play testing grounds rework Highlander again to see if my first impression were valid or not, since I quite liked his testing grounds rework. The kick is slow, but its feintable, like you said, but because of the fact that it does 26 dmg everytime, makes it fair to have it slow, but feintable. Also he can feint -> still be in offensive-stance which makes that kick even scarier to fight, since you are constantly going against a offensice stance Highlander. But I need to play him again to gather my thoughts and opinions!

Them removing his old max punish was the death blow for me. Honestly he’s probably one of the most boring chars now.
