We were evicted from site1 and are now at a better site . While Leeds city council still fail to show a duty of care to these humans we will continue to do it for them . They should hang their heads in shame . The reason for tent city was to prove the councils official count of 15 homeless in Leeds was de!iberately low . On Monday they put 62 eviction notices on tents belonging to homeless citizens . When they did that their incompetence started to unravel. We won't rest until our destitute are recognised. Peace
These guys and girls are in tents in this weather. And the sponges coming over in boats get 3 meals and a bed what a country this is government you are a joke and that goes for all no matter who is in power
This is a good thing to do, the artist man is cool. We did this in Manchester last year and the city council evicted the tents, so we moved around the corner. Then just kept shifting around the city and now they take business buildings under a section 6 squatters rights. Have met Haydn he knows the score and they have a good team who help and keep homeless people safe. Reckon anyone who can make it down there or give support over the key board, will be greatly appreciated.

Make sure they don't spend their money on piss and drugs. Keep em safe. Nobody chooses to live like that but boozing and drugs will not stop the problem.
The people overseeing the camp are trying their absolute hardest to keep dealers away and drugs, alcohol and possible weapons away from them but without the proper help there's no way they are going to be able to stop them abusing drugs and alcohol. As for money, there's no need for them to be begging on the streets because food, drinks, and even clothing are being provided for them. If you're located in Leeds, then any donations, help or inquiries are more than welcome. The more people aware of the situation the better.

I get what you're saying but a lot of your working classes & rich celebs are on drugs because they can't cope with life lol So what chance do homeless people stand of seeing any good reason to give up booze and drugs when life has got so far away from them?!
