the part about being able to mask/ignore your anxiety until your body wouldn’t let u anymore is so real 😮‍💨 also started therapy recently! it’s been hard but good 💖 shout out to actually prioritizing ourselves!!

I really appreciate people like you who talk so openly about their mental health and how taking care of it is important. Because sadly, it's still stigmatized.
I remember recently, I was talking to a friend and I said "I'm felling like life is happening to me. I'm just going through the motion, but mentally I'm standing on the sidelines, watching and waiting for my life to start, but there are only commercials playing." And the look she gave me, made me realize that probably it is not how everyone is living.

I’m so sorry that you had a bad experience with your friend. Opening up can be a challenge, and when the person in front of you is not receptive or doesn’t give you space to express yourself without feeling weird, it’s really hard. Know that it’s nothing personal, it has nothing to do with you and everything to do with her internal self. And please trust me when I say that literally everyone is struggling someway. No one has it figured out completely, we’re all faking it (some better than others). Even the people that you can envy through your screen, through social media, celebrities etc they all have at least one thing that is out of their control, but people only show the best. That’s how life is. You are not alone, you are heard and you are seen especially in this asmr community that feels like such a safe space for all of the sensitive/empaths/anxious people out there. It will get better, and one day you’ll learn to manage the things that are stopping you from living your life as best as you can. Don’t wait for it to be perfect to enjoy it : you can either cry in the storm or dance in the rain 💕

I work as a psychometrist and I highly recommend finding a clinic where you can get an ADHD/ Neuropsych assessment completed. It really helps give a more wholistic view of symptoms, and reveal
how different diagnoses may interact with one another.
I love your mental health message in this video, and wish you well on your journey!! 🤍

I was diagnosed with ADD when I was 8 years old but my father, who has ADHD, had bad experiences with his medication as a child so my family opted to not medicate me. At 28 years old I moved across the country and switched up my career. I think all of the change really messed with my brain and I found it extremely difficult to focus and be motivated. I finally got so fed up with my symptoms that I started seeing a psychotherapist who retested and prescribed me the lowest dose of medication possible. Ive been medicated for about 6 months now and it absolute changed my life. I cannot even imagine how much this would have benefitted me in my childhood. I appreciate my parents for trying to protect me but damn, I never knew my brain could work like this. It helped me with every single aspect of my life. If you’re able, definitely try whatever medication your doctor may prescribe. Not everyone reacts the same way but I know the struggle you’re experiencing and I’m hopeful the right medication will help kick start your journey with healing.

I got diagnosed with my ADHD (more of ADD as emphasized by my doctor) when I was 19. It was such a bittersweet experience realizing all this time there was a reason why I felt so flawed and forgetful my whole life. But i’ve grown to be more compassionate and understanding of myself but it’s an ongoing process to retrain myself into being okay with not being “normal” 🥹🩷 I love that as a creator you bring these subjects to light to make the rest of us neurodivergent beings feel less alone 🥲🥰

OMG!!! Not sure what year your car is, but I drive a 2014 Hyundai Sonata and my engine completely shut down last summer! The good news was that apparently there was a recall on my specific engine, so Hyundai payed to get my engine replaced entirely. Again, idk what year your car is but I would definitely look into seeing if your engine was recalled ❤

As someone who was diagnosed as a child with ADHD - if you are diagnosed and treated with medication, you will more than likely resolve both ADHD symptoms and your anxiety within the same medication.

As someone who haa struggled with anxiety my whole life....a therapist is a great solution. All these meds are actually terrible for ppl. We live in a society where our food is all toxic, doctors don't ask if ppl exercise or eat right. Our mental health for almost all of us, is a direct reflection of our severe deficiencies in our body. Meds make it worse. And doctors get a kick back from selling crap that puts a bandaid over it. Joe rogan has a podcast episode with a man named gary brekka. highly suggest finding it & listen to what he says about anxiety & depression. When you heal your gut, by what youre eating & consuming & get on proper supplements...not meds...watch how your life changes.
