I like how Kira has been a punching bag ever since his introduction, and that back then he mentioned he was homeless, without a job, and was basically with the corp just to have some semblance of a stable(not normal) life, but here, when he decides to quit and declares he will live in the district, he places a basis of the new normalcy he is planning to regain, no matter how delusional it may be for him at that point And we all know how far Kira would go for "normal"
