As long as you pay attention, it shouldn't be necessary, except in very, very rare cases. Obviously there are exceptions, but I'm damn glad more people don't use them because in almost every case it would just be a sign of laziness.

A podcast, as such, it supposed to be entertainment, so, if it were filled with "excuse me"'s and "you're welcome"'s, it may not be as entertaining. If a joke or something means a perfect form of civility cannot be maintained then I accept it. That is not, at all, to say I want to see podcast guests be needlessly rude to each other, but, just that I recognise an episode has entertainment as priority one.
