There are some kids that are better at sprinting than anything, even though their times are slow. And because their school might be small, they make the team and go to meets with a 12.4 So that's why.
11-12 seconds and you’re on the varsity team? That’s more like JV here in Texas. You gotta be running at least high 10s to even be somewhat competitive here and I know the same can be said about Florida and Cali
So, this was supposed to be an early season meet that we would pick 5 or 6 feature races to show on this channel late at night. Why? Because we were planning to do some experimenting at this meet by deploying a single crew member and dumping the meet onto our Near-Live sister channel where just the local communities would see it. Something new that we're playing with. But, the heavy rain changed all that. Turns out a single crew member can't pull that off in heavy rain. So, this coverage was never intended for this channel. With the very real prospect that we will have no more new content until this fall, we're digging deep. So, this little meet becomes a big thing, despite the poor camera work. The big hole is that there is no stadium camera. No camera to give a side view of the sprints. That is a view that we ALWAYS have. So, we started with the most poorly-covered races first. The sprints. Those are the races that will miss the stadium camera the most. All I can say is if you can't stand the poor coverage, don't watch these releases. It won't get much better. (twg)
