The memories! I collected this whole set by individual packs as a kid when they came out. my $2 allowance every week went to the 2$ pack. Trading with friends got me to a full base set back then. Had the storm and cable holos, and 6 of 9 of the 30 year cards from my childhood. I also bought two boxes about 6 years back for nostalgia. Both boxes got me a full set with all 3 holos (cable/storm/magneto) and the special wolverine hologram out of it, along with 8 of 9 30 year cards. Just missing that wolverine 30 year....
These were cool. I only had about 6 packs in total. I has complete sets of marvel universe 1-4 and lost interest in getting another full set. But. I liked the artwork for sure!
Bought two packs in 1992 and they’re still standing around the homestead. Can’t believe this series was 30 years ago after 2022. Impressive set.

Yeah and they had these as inserts in a bunch of comics, too! Is that Magneto holo the same image they use for the later XMen foil gram set?
