THIS is the vid you need! theres quite a few youtube vids about working on a gigabyte aorus, but this guy NAILS it. honestly the HARDEST and most stressful part about working on a 2k laptop that has high performance parts EVERYWHERE is learning how to safely remove the bottom cover to expose the guts safely and without prying something you shouldnt be. this vid clearly shows how to remove the case and not damage anything and keep the case looking mint too.
really appreciate the thorough explanations and narration, along with detailed shots.
i personally just added a 2tb NVME to my 15P YD - so can confirm that this vid will match perfectly with the 15P as well as the G.
thanks so much for the vid!

Having good clear video of the inside of the laptop before I opened it was hugely helpful.
I've worked with computers since 1973, although back then they were big remote mainframes, then IBM system 36/38 and AS/400 lots of Z80/6502/M68000 assembler, via MS-DOS 1.25 (!), PC-DOS on 64kB IBM PCs, through CP/M, DR-DOS, Concurrent DOS and eventually big Windows server farms, lots of Linux, microcontrollers, C adn Perl coding, then Cisco networking and security. These days I just dabble in containers, AzureAD, AWS stuff and cybersecurity investigations. RF is very much a sideline for me, but ONE DAY I'll be able to retire from the Day Job and just mess about on RUclips. Work REALLY gets in the way of fun.

Regarding the RAM upgrade for the Aorus 15G (SB or WB version which I am considering getting - have not decided though), I can also get the Amazon single 32GB module right? It is only $10 more than the 16GB X 2 kit you linked to (same manufacturer and speed, just 1 32Gb module, as opposed to 16GB X 2).

So I think they use tamper evidence tape not for warranty but for things like returns. Ex: Did it get opened to swap good components for your dead ones just to return it and get free replacement parts? Or maybe even for a consumer who buys it as "new, opened/open boxed" so they can see, hey this thing has been opened up inside yet it was sold as "new, opened/open box".

You don't HAVE to, especially if it's nothing too fast and your laptop has decent cooling.

Could u make a benchmark video for online games? I face a problem with them, the usage of the gpu is always between 40-50 and in a game like Valorant it's 20-25 usage.
In a game like Control it works 100% usage i don't know what's the problem with online games 😕
