I coach 13-14 yr. Old Junior boys, half of the current kids on my team would not make contact with this machine, more than 50% of the time. Excellent job young man!

I do train him to hit curve balls but I don't know where you live but where we live curve balls are not allowed in town ball until 12 years old. He's 10 now and in travel ball some kids throw curves which I don't recommend but he sees his fear share of curve balls because he plays with the 12 year Olds in town. He knows my son well he actually gets teenagers to try and beat my son and it hasn't happened yet. I can move my son 20 feet closer to the machine and he still hits line drives. We actually had a couple kid's in town throwing 72mph and 76mph when my son was 9 years old and he never struck out to the kid throwing 72mph but he would strike out to the kid throwing 76mph half the time. Very good! I wouldn’t do this or if I had a kid I wouldn’t let him do it, because it can screw up your timing, it happened to me last year and it screwed up my timing in game for a while and had to keep practicing. But keep up the AMAZING work!

We started hitting like this because he had moved up early and we had a couple 12 year old kid's throwing 70mph. I tell you it worked he would hit off of them. He just recently had a timing issue because the pitcher's mound got further away he was early on everything for a couple weeks and now he's hitting really good again. Oh he's 10 now Thanks again for watching.
100%. My son is 9 and sometimes the coach will bring them inside to do the pitching machine and he is hitting nukes off of it. When it’s time to play a game he’s barely getting it out to the outfield, because the pitchers are so much slower and not as accurate as the pitching machine. I tried to tell him you’re messing up their timing in games and can’t hit the slower pitches. All he had to say to me was it’s getting their hand and eye coordination practice. I just basically said “for what, MLB” and walked away. If the coach is going use the pitching machine it needs to be as slow as the pitching in the game, and the accuracy needs to be more erratic.

Nice. Hope baseball will still be fun for him after a couple years. Many kids can’t live up to their parent’s expectations of getting full ride scholarships by the seventh grade.
Last year he told me that he really wanted to focus on baseball and he wanted to stop boxing after 3 years of boxing. I said ok what do you want to do in place of boxing he told me he needed to get faster so he wants to do track. And then he showed me a kid doing strength and conditioning and got me to sign him up to that too. He is super driven he hits every other day about 200 to 250 balls each day. He even use to play basketball and he said it was taking Time away from baseball so he wanted to stop that too. 6 weeks ago he hit one during a game that landed on top of the fence and then fell back into the field boy was he pissed. So the next day during batting practice I threw about 2 buckets of balls to him and he hit 8 homeruns on a 200 foot field. That is not 70, that might be 55. they have the sign wrong or the machine needs to be calibrated. Kid is a good little hitter, even 50+ at age 8 is impressive

Yes but it’s a pitching machine it goes the same place every pitch. Now do you know somebody that throws and make him thro different places and see if he can hit that gut good job keep up the grind
He actually played up in majors at 9 and we had 2, 12 year old kids pitching 72mph and 76mph. The kid throwing 72mph could never strike him out but the kid throwing 76mph would strike him out half the time. These 2 kids are why we started working bat speed so young. I’m not tryna hate or anything but I throw faster than that and I only throw like 63. Still good job to him but it doesn’t look as fast on camera. And also I noticed that he was making contact and then slowing down his swing. If you haven’t noticed that already but if he doesn’t slow down he’ll hit the ball harder then what he is right now. Not saying he is not hitting the ball hard but he could hit it harder if he doesn’t slow his swing down. I do the same thing he does btw.

Very nice lil man. Played and coached for a long time for kids much older. Most of the kids I coached would not get in that cage, if they did they wouldn't make contact like you. I do train him to hit curve balls but I don't know where you live but where we live curve balls are not allowed in town ball until 12 years old. He's 10 now and in travel ball some kids throw curves which I don't recommend but he sees his fear share of curve balls because he plays with the 12 year Olds in town. Read the comments I tell everyone to feel free to call KR EXPRESS the machines are calibrated monthly and he is Ken Ryan that use to play for the Redsox. He knows my son well he actually gets teenagers to try and beat my son and it hasn't happened yet. I can move my son 20 feet closer to the machine and he still hits line drives. We actually had a couple kid's in town throwing 72mph and 76mph when my son was 9 years old and he never struck out to the kid throwing 72mph but he would strike out to the kid throwing 76mph half the time. Very good! I wouldn’t do this or if I had a kid I wouldn’t let him do it, because it can screw up your timing, it happened to me last year and it screwed up my timing in game for a while and had to keep practicing. But keep up the AMAZING work!

We started hitting like this because he had moved up early and we had a couple 12 year old kid's throwing 70mph. I tell you it worked he would hit off of them. He just recently had a timing issue because the pitcher's mound got further away he was early on everything for a couple weeks and now he's hitting really good again. Oh he's 10 now Thanks again for watching.
100%. My son is 9 and sometimes the coach will bring them inside to do the pitching machine and he is hitting nukes off of it. When it’s time to play a game he’s barely getting it out to the outfield, because the pitchers are so much slower and not as accurate as the pitching machine. I tried to tell him you’re messing up their timing in games and can’t hit the slower pitches. All he had to say to me was it’s getting their hand and eye coordination practice. I just basically said “for what, MLB” and walked away. If the coach is going use the pitching machine it needs to be as slow as the pitching in the game, and the accuracy needs to be more erratic.
@@akaredcrossbowyeah. It’s quality over quantity. So it’s not about hitting as many balls, it’s about getting good reps. Same thing with timing too

Nice. Hope baseball will still be fun for him after a couple years. Many kids can’t live up to their parent’s expectations of getting full ride scholarships by the seventh grade.
Last year he told me that he really wanted to focus on baseball and he wanted to stop boxing after 3 years of boxing. I said ok what do you want to do in place of boxing he told me he needed to get faster so he wants to do track. And then he showed me a kid doing strength and conditioning and got me to sign him up to that too. He is super driven he hits every other day about 200 to 250 balls each day. He even use to play basketball and he said it was taking Time away from baseball so he wanted to stop that too. 6 weeks ago he hit one during a game that landed on top of the fence and then fell back into the field boy was he pissed. So the next day during batting practice I threw about 2 buckets of balls to him and he hit 8 homeruns on a 200 foot field. Yes but it’s a pitching machine it goes the same place every pitch. Now do you know somebody that throws and make him thro different places and see if he can hit that gut good job keep up the grind
He actually played up in majors at 9 and we had 2, 12 year old kids pitching 72mph and 76mph. The kid throwing 72mph could never strike him out but the kid throwing 76mph would strike him out half the time. These 2 kids are why we started working bat speed so young. I’m not tryna hate or anything but I throw faster than that and I only throw like 63. Still good job to him but it doesn’t look as fast on camera. And also I noticed that he was making contact and then slowing down his swing. If you haven’t noticed that already but if he doesn’t slow down he’ll hit the ball harder then what he is right now. Not saying he is not hitting the ball hard but he could hit it harder if he doesn’t slow his swing down. I do the same thing he does btw.
This video is when he was 8 years of age look up some of his recent content he is 10 hitting 70mph with a 36oz camwood bat and he can hit it while being 20 feet closer to the machine. That's awesome I have videos hitting 80mph balls in a batting cage if you check out the rest of my channel. I can hit 70mph balls with a 36oz camwood bat and a drop 3 wood bat too. You should try the camwood bat out it's great 👍

he’s good and all but 70 mph from a pitcher and 70 mph from a batting machine is a lot different
He was hitting off 2 different pitcher's in town both 12 years old one was pitching 72mph and the other 76mph. He was hitting the kid's pitching 72mph everytime he faced him but he would strike out half the time when facing the kid that pitched 76mph. This was when he was 9 years old. His timing is insane but he's a pitcher too, he actually threw 3 no hitters last year.

I would not lie about something on my kid's channel what would I be teaching him! KR EXPRESS is where the machine is the owner is KEN RYAN he used to play for the Redsox and he knows my son very well because he can out hit all the high school kid's call and ask the mph on the machine. Check out some of his other videos where he's hitting 80mph and hitting 70mph with a 36oz camwood bat. It's hard work he hits 800 to 1000 balls a week during the off season
