Great review. Looks like a great option for people who like game pad style radios. Also a good choice as a backup radio, especially with elrs and it's use of binding phrases. I like it
Nice video as always! With this new V2 having ELRS too, makes me doubt if upgrading my og BetaFPV LiteRadio 2 to Hall Gimbals and ELRS is even worth, it might be cheaper but I think this might just be a better option overall! Thanks for video to let me know this was out!! Stay safe and keep up the great work!! 💪
Almost missed this video! I've been waiting to see how this V2 turned out... I've had some gimbal issues with my original T-Lite so I was hoping that they'd improve them on this version. But it doesn't look like they did. The minor changes are nice of course, especially if you're running ELRS. I'll be sticking with my original T-Lite for a little while longer and maybe I'll switch to a V2 down the line. I really like how compact the T-Lites are. Thanks for the video!
Indeed... that option for the toggle button they came out with afterwards was a bit of a joke... C'mon... Offer it as standard configurarion choice when purchasing it. .. how did they manage to miss the ball on that one? 🤣🤣
I think when your sitting on an (possible huge supply) existing supply of premade shells and do not wish to pay for a redesign, then most manufacturers will choose to update board rather than a whole new design. It might be in your best interest to seek another radio as opposed to wait.
Awesome review, Albert! Thanks! 😃 The shape of the radio looks a bit different... Or am I wrong? 😬 I don't know... But I definitely like this radio! Even better now updated! Anyway, stay safe there with your family! 🖖😊
No, the shell is exactly the same... They only did internal changes (external module power handling, internal AION for ELRS version + minor changes to allow passthough updating of it).
good video!!! what is the advantage of this v2 over the v1 if i only planning to use it for airplanes? is s the any potential problem of the v1 if used only for airplanes? i found a used v1 in 40 dollars+ shipping and i want to buy it as back up radio. i hope you can advise. thanks!!
Any of the nano sized modules 500W and less power output will work. You can use a full sized module with an adapter but limited to 500mW output power. They should have v2 firmware or should be updated to v2 firmware.
Great Video. Thanks again for highlighting the differences between this one an the old one. I remember watching your video last year on the Jumper T-Lite. You and other reviewers mentioned some drawbacks. I think the most important was the disassembling of the radio to attach a module and the battery interfering with the module (swapping batteries) I guess the upgrades were mostly internal. It's nice you don't need to take apart the radio to attach the module, but It would have been nice to see some effort to improve the fit and finish of the radio. (module wires) It seems as though, the V2 is simply a slightly better version of the original Jumper T-Lite. I think it's a nice radio, at the price point, looks good. It will definitely appeal to some. I can't remember, was this the same radio that if the 18650 was inserted improperly it would burn out the board?
@@Adam_Carbone OK, It was a good radio, but it was a cheap and to cut costs/save money it had no circuit protection features and improper battery insertion resulted in fried boards. They utilized a big yellow warning sticker in the battery compartment.
Yeah, there still is no reverse polarity protection. That would add about $5 in cost and the target market of this radio won't pay $1 more. That's why there are even cheaper and even lower quality products that this one. You'd be surprised how many people think even a $40 radio costs "too much".
@@AlbertKimTV That is an interesting mentality. "I want to get into this (costly) hobby, but I don't want to spend any money." Most people should understand cheap products rarely perform as well as their more expensive equivalent.
How do you tell visually bewteen v1 & v2 i bought one of these transmitters off ebay last night and its shipped ,but not sure which version im getting and seller was vague
Increased distance *does* also mean better pentration at shorter ranges. The better option for that though is to come down to 868/915Mhz for frequencies that naturally penertrate better rather than brute forcing it with power (and adding more noise to that RF environment).
i was thinking to buy this V2 set, but may i know which is good future proof? should i get 4in1 set with module and adapter? or just get the built in elrs?
Could really use some help setting up a 4in1 module on the elrs version. I been trying to get it to work for a week. How do I make the 2 communicate? I have internal off and external set to multi and nothing will bind
Not enough information here to make any kind of diagnosis. The problem could be almost anything. It's possible you need to configure/flash/update the multi-module. I recommend reading all the documentation at this website for further help... www.multi-module.org/
Hi Al. I am split between a Zoro(4in1) and this Jumper t-liteV2(4in1). I am i want to replace my Flysky and Spektrum DX6i. Which would you recommend? Wouter
@@AlbertKimTV I was able to add an external module (Happymodel ES24TX) to the original Jumper T Lite. Is that external module compatible with the Jumper T Lite v2 4in1?
I can’t get edge TX to see my t lite 4in1 v2. When I go to flash it there is nothing to select when you go to add it. Perhaps it not in dfu mode but I believe you just shut down the radio with it plugged in and it goes into dfu but I may be wrong.

Revisa los cables que conectan los gimbals, deben estar rotos, me ha pasado y he solucionado soldando unos nuevos.
I'd love to see the EdgeTX tutorial

Im hoping for a t-pro updated with more or better switch set up. Thanks for sharing Albert

I was thinking to update my old 9x radio with a 4in1 module, but this makes me wonder if it is the right move. That's quite impressive for the price.

Hi, i wondering what one should I buy to use with eachine warbird, Tlite V2 JP4IN1 or Tlite V2 ELRS ?
Or both version work with this ?

I still preferrer the Zorro. What happens with your zorro?

The plug in the back under the sticker is different. See my V1 video and you'll see.
so are you all in on gamepad style controllers now?
I prefer their smaller size and weight. I've never been a fan of large and heavy radios.
also i think higher power tx give better penetration, it is not just about distance

This is a classic. Maybe in V3 they can fix the button layout.
😎😎
Would be great.
i was thinking to buy this V2 set, but may i know which is good future proof? should i get 4in1 set with module and adapter? or just get the built in elrs?
What do you mean by future proof? There's always something that will come out in 6 months that might make this obsolete. No way to predict the future.
Kind of sad that took them so long to fix, do you know if they will sell the board only?
Probably eventually. Spare parts always come out later.
I believe the built in elrs version is 150mw
Nice! i think i'll get the ELRS version if it's working okay :)
😎
Just saw the elrs version available.
Does it have the same feel as the t pro
No, the feel is very different from each radio.

Yes, but you have to program it into the model first.

There is no such thing that exists.

May I install esgetx on this controller? (Jp4in1)
Yes... you can install via this link... buddy.edgetx.org/#/flash?version=v2.10.2&target=tlite

For the love of goodness will one of these companies give me a gamestyle controller with a color screen I’ll pay for it!!!!
I think you're in the minority. They don't want to invest in products that don't sell much.
