    Can one prepare the pastry the day before serving the meal or will the pastry not be as crispy?

    You push down in the middle rather than cut around them! That’s the point of adding the circle in the middle. Also you buttered over the edge hence the reason why They didn’t rise correctly

    Another great, cool, exotic video..full retro vibe comes through. Would Not make these ahead & save tho, actually making them with some friends & some drinks could be better

    I find your vols au vent very flat. Coincidence, I am ready to make bouchées à la reine .In my vols au vent the garnish is composed as follows: chicken breast, mushroom, cream béchamel, salt, pepper and muscat nuts.
