Just buy one and LIVE the dream. I got my 87 Carrera 25 years ago for under $20k and now it's worth about 80-100k. I still prefer the handling and drivability of my 944 turbo, but not the maintenance (timing belts) so much.. No, I'm not some rich guy that has a lot of money to buy toys. Herr fingers, Your videos are some of the very best I have looked at on you tube, everything is precise and the care that you take is so impressive. You are so organized and thorough, meticulous and patient with every issue in your fabulous restoration! I'm also most impressed with your clean working environment, it's reflected in the high quality work that you do. The overall production of your videos are of the highest standards; camera positioning, lighting, music and of course your verbal dialog. Your 911 is very beautiful!
Nice simple tools for (double) flaring and bending the brake lines. For anyone attempting to do this, just remember to put the nut on and keep it at the end before you bend the line.
A point to mention, for anyone making their lines is that handheld flare tools are either SAE or DIN - which relates to the type of flare that is created. DIN is required for Porsche and other European cars. (SAE for US and Far East). Yes, you know how I learnt this 😅! Colin.
Every time I see the way you work is on another level. Making the fuel line etc. I replace all my calipers but not as detail and perfection in the way you work. 👍
Recently ran across your video series on your Porsche and can’t help myself but watch it over and over again like you would do with one of your favorite movies or tv series. Amazing production quality content over a subject that has deeply influenced and my love for Porsche. Love your attention to detail, absolutely the way I would handle every single nut and bolt and part on a car like this. Will be looking forward to more videos, thank you for being such an awesome representative to an amazing piece of automotive historical excellence.

It's an essential tool at my place
I've seen a few guys do the brake pipe flaring with power tool rather than a hand cranked socket. They said that the smooth, constant and straight pressure applied to the tip of the flaring tool that does the work by the gun is superior to the possibly wonky winding when done by hand. Not tried this myself though.
Amazing work as usual!. I love your paper covering technique on the tie rod end!! Very clever. Now you need to get back to work on the Giulia please! :)

I had a shop replace the 2 (I think there are 2) brake light switches on the master cylinder and all is now well. I read that loosening the brake light switches and bleeding them could possibly also rectify the non brake light operation issue.
Thanks, glad you liked it. I heard about the problem, but didn’t have it myself. I’ve once loosened these switches to get access to the space behind and was surprised about the fact that they have conical threads to seal.
