i used a flat top screwdriver and it seemed to have damaged the plug a bit. Not a great way to have to do it.

You take the handle out and put it on the release valve and turn it slowly Counter clockwise. To raise you do the opposite, turn all the way clockwise, then put the handle in the socket and pump up and down.

My own experience with Torin. I ordered a seal kit for my Torin Big Red floor jack, talking to their rep Daniel in Ontario CA on 10/23/20. Placed order, paid, & that's the last I ever heard. A phone robot answers, but can accomplish nothing. No human ever picks up or returns call messages. Don't waste your money!
