How come this bike does so well in MotoAmerica in comparison to BSB and WSBK? Not sure on the rules and regs in the US series but the bike aint near close enough to Kawasaki and Ducati in WSBK although its prob a smoother ride, prob lacking a bit in the power part like the GP bike? I havent drawn comparison with this bike and the latest GSXR 1000 but would love to see how they fair against each other as the GSXR is the current championship winning Superstock bike in BSB. The BMW will lay claim to that next season im sure but ill always see how the stockers are doing to draw comparison on these beasts. Beautiful looking bike this R1 is its almost as if your looking at a street M1, work of art!
I'm not sure on the US regs either but I know there are some pretty large differences in power outputs of some of their bikes stock. I can't remember which one (blade maybe) but at least one of them regularly did dyno numbers around 20hp down over there. I presume some kind of emissions regs killing them off. If it's similar for each bike they may allow freeing them all up a bit more than our race regs since no one really wants to watch litre bikes with 750 power. They may even run power limits in certain series (as there are in minitwin/etc over here) to keep things interesting.
Loved my 2015 R1M which I've just sold, so the big question. For track only, in super stock race trim, new R1M or new S1000rr? I was trying to buy a beemer but demand and other issues have thrown a spanner in the works. V tempted to buy another Yamaha but wonder if I'd live to regret it.
Depends, if you want massive top end power and straight line speed then the S1K. If you want superior handling then its the R1, just remove the ABS loop and pump if you want sharp consistent braking.
No it does not. It does not have the crossplane engine. Also when they changed the R6 body work in 2017 I believe, the engine remained the same. It is a traditional inline 4. Still a great 600cc engine though!
What is this whole euro 5 thing? Do they really inspect bikes over there. Here in the states there are no motorcycle inspections and we can do whatever we want to our bikes so long as they have a tag and some lights

Mark Gardner bmw has a flat spot in the midrange. Apparently it’s a thing now.
Depends, if you want massive top end power and straight line speed then the S1K. If you want superior handling then its the R1, just remove the ABS loop and pump if you want sharp consistent braking.
is this bike capable for long drive ?? im 5'10 ..
i once did a drag race on an r1, in shorts, lent to me by an alleged dealer on saint lucia. thanks i stand.
Front end looks like the sloth from Ice Age
A beautiful sloth
But we r very sad current moto gp bike condition, not rectified many problems
this is proof new doesn't always = better. quartararo is able to beat the factory boys with the old bike
@@blue03r6 s, even its not enough to beat honda what happened in arogan... Consistency is need in all track...
so first thing to do is take the exhaust system off 4 catalytic converters will seriously slow the bike down off it comes an akra exhaust is going on
Does the R6 sound like that too?
No it does not. It does not have the crossplane engine. Also when they changed the R6 body work in 2017 I believe, the engine remained the same. It is a traditional inline 4. Still a great 600cc engine though!
Kawasaki zx10rr review video
What is this whole euro 5 thing? Do they really inspect bikes over there. Here in the states there are no motorcycle inspections and we can do whatever we want to our bikes so long as they have a tag and some lights
It looks much better 👏
Nice vid 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻..Good info
the one issue I have is the intake... i call it the "ME SUCC BIG AIRR intake"
Yamaha bikes are far the best looking ones ❤
Ducati and Yamaha have the best looking bikes
I still happy with my current r15 v3
Wan Ridzwan same bruh
Eeyyyyy
What's the new thing with 2020 r1
Poor Yamaha, still haven't fixed the brake problem, but they have such a great track weapon, shame!
Buy Used 👍
My 2019 was $ 23.000 the 2020 R1M is $ 26.000 in the IS
what makes yamaha better than other bikes at cornering?
The rider
That engine sound... oh Lordy.
Guys , please test the Acceleration timing and top speed of Ducati panigale V4 R.
My dream motocycle
So sick! Maybe next..
Edit.....
GOT IT!
Luckily i live near 🐉🇱🇷🐉 n its all twisties round here!
🐉🇱🇷10 seasons flawless victory🇱🇷🐉
318 turns 11.6 miles no side roads n KillBoy cleans the road
But i know better roads or much much more advanced
Waiting on my GEAR!!!!! Ahhhhhhhhhhh
You would have to be mad to buy this over s1000rr (even r1m vs base bmw)
But r1 is more reliable than s1000rr
Still got that jerky acceleration? No mention of it?
This or s1000rr?
What if they made a crossplane vtech engine? 😯
What would you pick ??? NEW Yamaha R1 or the NEW Ducati V4s ??
SketchBuildRide the new bmw 1000rr
SketchBuildRide spec wise it should be R1M vs V4 ,S then V4 S for a 50-50 track- canyon use if you’re more towards the track R1M best bet
Best balanced supersport for Track and road use is 2020 S1000 RR M package
@@nihvl the new S1000RR has the worst suspension in the stock state as far as i have been told by Fellow riders who rode it at BIC. [ They own R1, V4s etc ] Maybe setting it up correctly would change it slightly. But definitely not the pick of the pack here. Its one of the easy ones to ride for sure though. But as i always say " CHALAO TOH JAANO" [ KNOW IT WHEN YOU RIDE IT ] - Let's see when i get my hands of the New S1000rr - The v4s is my current fav !
@@KWOKGB Not even close to the R1 and the V4 ! But thats again a personal choice. Cheers !
SketchBuildRide I’ve been riding r1 and RR on a track. Rr is definitely better. Don’t ask me about ducati. )) its not for racing
So Rossi is back for 2020 ha ha 🤘🏼. #46
How was Chris (Baron VG) around the track?
Still not funny, I expect?
Ambition outweighed his talent ......
Yamaha R1 was my heart beat uptill 2008. After that it just died for me.
After that it got better in my opinion
Most people commenting probably have never ridden the bike , I have one now , used to have a 17 , I also had a s1000rr and I ride every day with friends with different bikes , and I can honestly tell u this is probably the best bike u can get for ur money, here in the us , u can get a left over 18 for 14 k .
Brakes are actually great , they are not grabby like in the bimmer , plenty fast , super easy to lean , I can keep up with pretty much any bike , even with a panigale r.
It is all about the rider, let me ask u this , if u were to put Fabio Q ON THIS BIKE stock just the way it is , You think that this guy or anyone else would keep up with him ?
Well now u know , it is the rider not the bike.
You can get a leftover CBR1000RR for 9k ... unfortunately Honda has you beat in best bang for your buck as far as track bikes goes.
As far as a bike to ride every day... all of them are too expensive for what you get
Is this bike getting discontinued?
That is unfortunately the reality we live in :(
I don't understand why R1 came with black suspension.... I think the gold suspension looked better
its like Yamaha Motogp bike. nothing changed
AMAZING BIKE FANTASTIC EXELENT MAGICAL THE BEST
Will the 2020 fairings fit a 15-19?
So What..
Who Needs Brakes ?
Downshift into the
TURN , 3/4 thru ,
THROTTLE UP
Slide outta turn
SCREAMING to the
Checkered Flag !
Lol. 😂. 🏁 🏍️
Suzuki gsx r 1000 rr 2020 please
So basically it costs more but it's really the same.
It is a quick shifter
test it without the stock exhaust
So like MotoGP Yamahas... not much changed and has less power than the others. Dont understand all the gimmicks. Braking electronics? Why would you need that? One of the most sensitive parts of the human body, the fingertips are used to modulate brake pressure and direct feel. Just adding electronics for the sake of having another feature
R1M ❤️
The front fairing duct looks like a 2007 cbr600rr
You could just make a 5 mins video saying: it’s the same
Thx though Neevsy
I WOULD KILLLLLLLLLLLLLL TO GET THIS BEAUTYYYYYYYYYYYY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Love this bike, but am too short to ride it everyday.
Whats ur height in cm?
@@HadesaiedPro 160cm
