My mom worked for General Dynamics in from 1980 to the mid 90s building the F16. I always thought it was a shame that the F16 XL never went into production. It would've been hands down the best delta winged fighter aircraft produced. I saw a lot of the initial flighta of the prototypes myself at what used to be Carswell AFB in Ft Worth. My mom's friends who worked on the development of the XL told me much about it's capabilities. You should do a video on it. Interesting story.
For the algorithm...and the good work.
Just an FYI. The Air Force had an F-4 that did in fact have an internal gun. It was the Navy that opted for the F-4 without a gun.
Husband engineered the F-16 display. Also worked on F-14. Joined the Navy and served Vietnam 68-69 in country supported A-6 planes. Aviation tech for over 30 yrs. He's disabled from agent orange exposure and is in a wheelchair now.
Hi.admin. With an accent from Eastern Europe, you perform the narration of this video with the title F-Sixteen Documentary!!
very well. In this video, called F-16, you present one part of the reconstruction of the United States Air Force (both air and naval) with the fourth generation of fighter jets.
On September 6, 1976, Lieutenant Viktor Belenko of the Soviet Air Defense Forces defected by flying his Mikoyan-Gurevich MiG-25P "Foxbat" aircraft from near Vladivostok in the Far East of the Soviet Union to Hakodate Airport in Hokkaido Prefecture of Japan. U.S. intelligence and government contract aviation engineers were allowed to dissemble the aircraft to learn how the aircraft was built and it's capabilities. What they learned astonished some experts while simultaneously understanding how critical components (avionics & engines) were actually very well thought out for it's original intended design.
If hidden hands can make a wish so well, it will be called "ideal". A job that starts with planning is not "accidental" or mafia. Its name is purposeful and with prior desire. Therefore, all the war planes of the United States were built in the seventies to achieve goals in the following decades, which were all successful. Of course, I agree only with this aspect that the service of some of these fighter jets has had an impact on various governments of the United States, but this is also a kind of planning. Good luck.
OK! We accepted.! Question: If the reconstruction is in progress, then why is this fighter jet or that fighter jet no longer meaningful? An air power in a country started to rebuild and of course build new fighter planes in order to maintain its air superiority, and in this way, various aircraft manufacturing companies of this country (the United States) responded to this request. Is this called "mafia"?
Sigh, another Fighter Mafia fanboy pedalling their myths. You don't get to a good start when you state the P-51 is the result of USAAC generals planning...the P-51 was built to a British specification for the RAF! The F-4 Phantom did not under perform early on in Vietnam due to lack of a gun, it was training and maintenance issues. The F-4 got more missile kills that gun kills and the highest kill rate was with Navy Phantom that did not carry a gun! You then started to state the F-14 was a dog fighter ignoring that its speciality was BVR and after that I pretty much gave up on this video! As for the F-16 being a product of the Fighter Mafia...not it wasn't! If the fighter Mafia had got its way it would have not got a radar or any advanced electronics not even an advanced radio and it would have had a woeful range. Please relabel this vide as: "The FALSE story behind of the F-16 Fighting Falcon".
goodnight
