I fully agree with you! When I saw the throw of the Baton Turbo, I immediately thought that this head would have been so much better on the Warrior series (Nano/Mini). I would happily replace my Warrior Nano for the candelas of the Baton Turbo but not sure I am ready to loose the tail switch.

Arkfeld pro is awesome but the wurkkos HD01 seems a bit brighter, is shorter like you requested and is more fun to play with and I snagged one the other day for $30 with coupon and promo code. Doesn’t have uv, but makes up for it with rgb modes
So the reason for the change to double press for strobe and triple for turbo was due to complaints about turbo being activated in pockets and bags... causing discomfort or melting. Its a safety feature they had an announcement about last year.
sorry, that is on the user...there is lockout and it still requires a double press for Turbo. If that made sense they would change it on EVERY other flashlight at the same time.
@@maxlvledc I'm not here to debate you, I was just checking out the new lights. Seems a silly thing to be mad about when you showed how easy it was to change back. Hope you have a good day.

Thank you for the arkfeld pro strobe fix!!! My arkfeld pro was doing the same thing as the new version. I hated it. You are right, it is a bad move to randomly change the order of get to Turbo. I found it weird as well.
Love Olight. I have an addiction. I have 30 + in my collection. Thanks for the video. I just received my Osight Picatinny rail riser yesterday to go with my Osight green dot. I also received the O sphere as I am definitely above their minimum membership and I am currently a yellow diamond. The O sphere is unique and actually pretty cool.
I really would like an arkfeld ultra nano that would be 2/3 of the size. That way it would be totally pocketable. It would be less noticeable in pocket than a baton 4, and it would be more confortable to hold temporarily in mouth for hands free operation.
I like all the new lights, probably will get the Seeker 4 Pro but best part, I didn’t know you could reprogram the Arkfeld Pro! Also, I thought it was me and not the light lol now I have turbo on double press! Thanks Domenic!
I just got the sphere and the Baton turbo. Both of them are amazing. The baton is almost as good of a thrower as my Maurader mini. The sphere is what the Obulb should have been from the beginning. I wish the sphere had its own app. Having to use the app and go thru the store first is my only gripe.
The trick you used to switch modes on the arkfeld ultra to make turbo double press instead of strobe also worked on the arkfeld pro I've had for months which was also reversed for some odd reason. Cannot express my gratitude lol
One of the first things I noticed about the Sphere is that the magnet is not as strong as say to the original obulb you had on the table there. (I do the same thing as you mentioned about sticking them to the corner of a walls whenever the power goes out) I definitely like the hands on UI of the sphere compared to some of the previous models.
We are on the same wavelength! Just yesterday I was thinking, “I want an Arkfield Pro Mini!” Or an i3 laser pointer head, or i3 sized laser pointer flashlight.
I have the same thoughts, it would be the ultimate package it the baton turbo had a tail switch. I think im going to go with a convoy s8 shorty nm1 instead.
I've got a green arkfield. The one with a lazer and light. I've had it nearly 2 years. I've had to charge it twice. The magnetic system is fantastic. It's well bright enough for me. And has ample battery for my needs for a edc light. I'd like a newer model but i don't think I need it. I wish I could have the light and laser that can work simultaneously and the uv is more useful and fun than you'd think. So I may upgrade just for that and the reversible clip. I've also got a mini 2 on my keyring. It's a handy keychain light. And has decent light output and battery life for It's size.
Not going to lie, I keept getting adds about the new Arkfeld ultra and thought the only difference from my pro was the material. Good to know it mostly was and not worth the upgrade.
I am extremely disappointed that they didn't put a USB-C on the Ultra. That alone would have made be buy it over the Pro, regardless of the price. They really dropped the ball here
You've heard my love/hate comments about Olight before; as they may be useful to others though, I'll repeat them. You will never feel like you're holding a higher-quality flashlight than an Olight; maybe close, but there will be a difference. Their customer service will, unprompted, bend over backwards if you run into difficulty (even your fault). This latter quality in particular makes them worth the business, even though... Most of them use proprietary batteries, which are difficult or impossible (for a non-techie) to charge outside of the flashlight. They are also VERY expensive for what you get. Certain competitors are almost up to the quality (may have identical IP ratings), but are 1/3 to 1/2 the price. You typically don't get to choose the color tone (i.e. 6500K vs. 5000K) except on a very few. For myself, I did get the free Sphere, and finally got an Oclip.
Hey just an FYI for consumer lasers. Laser pointers SHOULD ALL be 5mW maximum output for safe levels, at that level with direct eye exposure your body will have a blink response or aversion fast enough to prevent permanent eye damage. It is highly doubtful they will increase the output of the arkfeld pro beyond its current 5mW. If it is any higher then it will go from a class 3R to a class 3B laser and by OSHA standards should have a physical key and key switch to arm the laser. There are plenty of questionably illegally strong, no key, no name laser pointers available; but you don't want them for pointing (more like for astronomy or playing around outside in fog)
I’m surprised I’ve heard nobody say that the design of the Arkfeld seems to have taken some design cues from Tesla cyber truck. It’s just a long gated, but it seems to have the same facets as the truck.
The cybertruck just looks like a shiny door wedge. And I'm going to predict it's a bigger flop from the last bare metal vehicle I can think of and that's the delorean. A car that's way cooler and always will be
Can you compare the UV, the pro and the ultra? Also are there different modes for their UV light? I think it would be good to have a low high or low/med/high for UV light 😮
I wonder if they improved the lens on the ultra... The pro the lens can melt super easily. Also sad to see they haven't fixed the pocket clip yet on the baton series. One would think they would learn.
@@maxlvledc that right there is a reason to get the ultra. If the pro gets activated in your pocket it doesn't have a prox sensor and will just burn you and itself lol!
Olight sales have been substandard lately. They went from doing sales too often to having just sad deals and no bonuses. Idk how much contact you have with them but if you can mention that they need to do a mini arkfeld! They also need to come out with an Ir pro uv or an IR pro with laser combo! Like they did with the baldr light. The next biggest thing is they need to get away from these proprietary chargers! Everyone is switching to USB and they really should get with the times I lose my charger all the time but I always have my phone charger!

I’m not one to buy expensive flashlights but honestly the seeker 4 pro has been worth it, used to run a lumitact light and kept having issue with that ND’ing on the pouch on my webbing belt, with the way I have the seeker 4 pro I have it handy at all times using that wall Mount and routing one of the webbing straps through so it just sits on my right front strap, plus it you out it into the holster with the button facing inwards there’s no way you can possibly ND/AD this light, plus with the USB-C port you’re not locked into olights proprietary chargers so that’s one less cable to worry about while in the middle of nowhere lmao
My boss has the Arkfeld pro and hates the turbo/strobe stock setting so I just did what you showed at 13:12 and now it cycles low, medium, TURBO.. double click drops down to high. Like, what?!? 😂
The proprietary 18650 let's them make the flashlight very narrow. The battery is used to convey information from tail to head. That is why the Baton 4 and warrior mini 3 are most compact in class.
@flylowe46m38 I still have two S2Rii batons and use them almost daily. They copper one is my toolbox work light and my black one is in a belt holster. Think it's been 4-5 years, maybe more. Recently bought an Arkfield pro(racing stripe) and a Perun2 in the purple/blue colorway for the wife.
I have the arkfeld pro, the strobe option was confusing…but I can’t switch options. What could I be doing wrong? The light simply unlocking at the end. Also I like the idea for arkfeld pro mini, but if you try to grab the arkfeld closer to where you proposed it, switching between modes becomes a bit problematic. The switch could be pointing front, but you still have to turn the light on somehow.
The UI change is because two people lit their pants on fire with the Arkfeld pro specifically. I guess the sales numbers made Olight view it as more of a mainstream option, which is why the other flashlights have not been affected. Olight has been ultra wary of bad optics since the incident where they got unfairly blamed (and still do to this day) for what some third-party garbage batteries did. There was actually a brief period where you couldn't turn off Nanny Mode at all, but they modified it due to the backlash
First of all, I hate the UI that gives you strobe first and I change it immediately upon getting a pro after they started doing that. But the reasoning behind it is not to make strobe easier, it is to make turning on turbo in your pocket less likely.
I wish they made double tap turbo mode for the arkfield instead of triple tap. So dumb going straight into strobe.... Just finished watching the video, dude you saved my life with the settings.
I love my Seeker 4 Pro in Neutral White. I think that is what makes the flashlight stand out from the crowd. I especially like it for walking at night. It gives better perception to my eyes. I also like that if I need more light for a moment, I can then dial it back, without having to start at too dim a setting.
I can't believe you didn't mention the biggest improvement on the ark field ultra and the reason I bought the upgrade. The clip is the weak point on the pro. I bend mine all the time and it is a bit weak anyway. They really beefed up the cliip on the ultra and fixed my biggest complaint. It also looks like the new clip doesn't stick out like the old one and im hoping it doesn't catch on stuff like the old one. I can post an update once i get mine and use it for a while. I got the Perun 3 and Ark field Ultra combo. That combo was a really good deal. My current ark field is my EDC and I'm hoping the improved clip really does it for me.
they should just update the Warrior nano to have a CR123a use ability, it's a good balance of both worlds to have something that has good distance and some floodiness. I was one of the people who constantly bitched to olight that we need a cr123a usable light for those times when we go off grid and wont have access to electricity. The warrior nano 2 should have this new cr123a adapter. I'm going to wait for the black friday sale to get this Baton turbo, simply because I need a cr123 capable light. Also, just a tip for everyone because I need this cr123a capability, I'm going to see if the sleeve can use the olight IMR16340 from the baton 3. The reason is because I don't want to lose this sleeve/adapter, would rather always have it in the light and not have to look for it in emergency situations and use a lower capacity battery that can recharge- Maybe you can test this to see if it works and make a video? thanks
Love your honest review on the arkfeld that it is only finish upgrade. Most tubers are pushing that it is the greatest light ever. Such kiss asses. No reason to get if you have the original unless you collect. Better update would be dual white light or white and red. Most people have no use for laser or uv
I ordered the freebie and an additional one yesterday. Being that I own a Pro S already I'm super exited to compare them... Ship them out already darn it! BTW, it's kind of annoying IMO how you wait to post your Olight sale videos. It's still definitely useful for a lot of people, but when somebody is waiting for your review to decide on a product they are forced to wait. Shoot, I'm pretty sure I've been there before! I totally get you have NDA and whatnot that would cover releasing before Olight announces, but Olight gives customers so little time to decide in the first place many people rely on content creators.
I'm torn between the Olight Seeker 4 Pro and the Olight Warrior X 4. I can’t decide which one to choose! Does anyone here have experience with either of these? I’d appreciate any advice!
I have arkfeld pro with 2 strobe and 3 turbo and it is crap! I have many olights and in all of them 2 turbo 3 is strobe. Why they change it in arkfeld line? Ok so after 10presses it will change to normal 2turbo 3 strobe in Arkfeld ultra? I try it on my Arkfeld pro and it didnt work.
I emailed Olight to see if they are going to do the same with the warrior nano to have the cr123a capability. I bitched to olight so many times that we need cr123a flashlights when power is not available. Look at the hurricanes that just ran through the south. How may people with older olights are able to charge their lights? probably close to none .unless you had the s1r mini and mini 2 that use cr123a, most of those people are fucked. lets hope they make the warrior nano 2 a reality
UPDATE: My Sphere arrived today. It is NOT compatible with my existing magnetic chargers; they are repelled. Can you test and confirm? If this is true, WHY????
19:02 that is precisely why they don't add a tailswitch to that or the arkfeld. They would overshadow every other light Olight offers, and who would buy the other lights, if the arkfeld has 3 built in and a tailswitch
Buyers beware. I purchased an Olight in 2018. Like most Olights, it used a proprietary battery. I recently tried to purchase a new battery for the light and was informed that it had been discontinued. The light is in perfect condition as are its accessories but now it is an expensive paperweight or, even worse, landfill. When I googled the torch, I found the forums were full of people with the same problem. Think about this before you buy.
The propriety charging is model dependent. A bunch of their stuff will use replaceable batteries, or usbc Their higher price stuff sure, thats a bit more annoying

I already put in a review on olight about the tail switch on the baton. Would have made so much more sense.
It isn't a new coating on the new Arkfeld, it's a whole new material for the entire body.
the javelot mini is similar size and throws 600 meters.
I wish they made double tap turbo mode for the arkfield instead of triple tap. So dumb going straight into strobe.... Just finished watching the video, dude you saved my life with the settings.
For the Seeker, do you like the Cool White or Neutral version best?
Hmm, CW. I wouldn't use it for mood lighting anyway. I want maximum reach in any scenario where safety is on the line.
@@maxlvledclol. I already have the Javelot Long Range and the Warrior X4. Thanks to you, I’m gonna grab the new Baton Turbo Compact 👍🏼
I love my Seeker 4 Pro in Neutral White. I think that is what makes the flashlight stand out from the crowd. I especially like it for walking at night. It gives better perception to my eyes. I also like that if I need more light for a moment, I can then dial it back, without having to start at too dim a setting.
Damn it! Missed the sale😢
They say it’s harder then titanium 2 or something? I saw that on the website but idk much about titanium
Got 3 of the 4 new lights on the way
Is the free Sphere only available for U.S customers, i haven't seen any mention of it on the UK olight site?
they should just update the Warrior nano to have a CR123a use ability, it's a good balance of both worlds to have something that has good distance and some floodiness.
The reason is because I don't want to lose this sleeve/adapter, would rather always have it in the light and not have to look for it in emergency situations and use a lower capacity battery that can recharge-
Maybe you can test this to see if it works and make a video?
thanks
If you don’t already have an Arkfeld Pro would you pick the Ultra or the Pro? I’m torn. Also did you notice the chonky pocket clip on the Ultra?
I would go pro...ultra is much heavier.
@@maxlvledc oh right, good point. I think I like the simple black color better anyway, cheers!
Love your honest review on the arkfeld that it is only finish upgrade. Most tubers are pushing that it is the greatest light ever. Such kiss asses. No reason to get if you have the original unless you collect. Better update would be dual white light or white and red. Most people have no use for laser or uv
I did miss that they upgraded to a glass lense..so thats cool, but yea..not worth imo.
@OddBall1997 yea, it's just how it is. If I post earlier then most will not be able to use link right away..then they forget lol. It's a wierd thing.
@@maxlvledc Hmm, that's a good point! I never thought about it that way🤔
Oof. Unavailable downunder at present. Speaking of Olight's stuff, have you seen their otacle titanium compass fidget on kickstarter?
No, seems weird
I'm torn between the Olight Seeker 4 Pro and the Olight Warrior X 4. I can’t decide which one to choose! Does anyone here have experience with either of these? I’d appreciate any advice!
Seeker needs more candela... I mean, it sounds like it should be a search and rescue style light... but its all flood.
the regular seeker version is a Thrower, it also has a tail USB port.
OOOOOOHHHH MY GOD 100 DOLLARS I TOOK A WRONG TURN AT ALBUQUERQUE.
How would the Baton Turbo do as a hat light?
@MkGreene not great...too focused, far too strong imo.
baton 4 is the best for that 😮
What model G-shock is that?
I have arkfeld pro with 2 strobe and 3 turbo and it is crap! I have many olights and in all of them 2 turbo 3 is strobe. Why they change it in arkfeld line? Ok so after 10presses it will change to normal 2turbo 3 strobe in Arkfeld ultra? I try it on my Arkfeld pro and it didnt work.
so its lockout first...then you press 10+ times (MAKE SURE TO HOLD ON THE LAST ONE! I made this mistake as well) this will switch it.
That arkfeld ultra does not look like OD green at all!! More like desert tan.
Use 50 o coins and its only $4.75!😅
Those damn 50 coins I keep winning!
Do they still have non-serviceable batteries and proprietary charging? Then they are still a hard pass.
The propriety charging is model dependent. A bunch of their stuff will use replaceable batteries, or usbc
Their higher price stuff sure, thats a bit more annoying
The Olight lights uses a proprietary 21700 battery, which pretty much costs you more. SKIP.
yep, I feel like a USB arkfeld would sell like hotcakes.
@@maxlvledc give me some of that sweet sweet reverse charging and youve probably got me.
How well would the Baton Turbo stay on a hat? I need it for when I'm running to spot homeless guys in advance.
solid, very solid. little movement.
It's gonna be a skip on the Arkfeld Ultra for me then if it's mainly aesthetics and scratchproof improvements
they should have just made it around an 18650. thats what i was think too. looks to big for the pocket. we'll see
the baton is not a tactical light in need of a tail switch
Hello
I got one for free with an order, but olight is crazy if they think im giving them all that access and permissions to use a light🥴
Skip this sale for me will wait for Halloween or Black Friday for me.
…for all intents and purposes

Sphere is already sold out on olite site
