There is actually a 3-issue comic arc in the Batman line "Shadow of the Bat", issues 56, 57, and 58, where Ivy and a villian named The Floronic Man use a strain of said plant thats genetically modified to be addictive and deadly. Great overall series but a fun mini arc!

Poison Ivy and Catwoman had made an uneasy alliance at the start when Hugo Strange was rounding people up to put in Arkham City, Poison Ivy would help Catwoman get into the vault and steal what she wants, and in return, all Catwoman had to do was get Poison Ivy's potted plant back, but Poison Ivy sort of roughed Catwoman up and hung her upside down when Catwoman went to find her in Arkham City, so Catwoman got her revenge by crushing Poison Ivy's potted plant, she would later lie to Poison Ivy and say that Hugo Strange was responsible for destroying the plant
To be fair, Catwoman killed Ivy’s other plants already. Hence why Ivy was so pissed off at Catwoman in the first place. Selina didn’t have to kill the last one. She just did that because… Idk. Either way, dick move.

Tbh I really prefer how they did Poison Ivy in Arkham Knight, she's less cartoonish and hysterical in that game, plus with the added nuance that she gives her life to save her plants and save Gotham at the same time, showing that she could channel this obsession of hers into something good. In the previous games she's just kind of all like "MWAHAHAA DIE WEAK FLESH BAGS! MY PLANTS!!!", I kind of like in general how they toned down how cartoonishly all of the characters acted.
The only reason they did it was because it got bumped up from Ages 13 and up to 17 and up so they had to make more mature content and made Harley THICK she be lifting weights with them cheeks 😂
Honestly, saving Gotham was at the absolute bottom tier of Poison Ivy's priorities in Arkham Knight. She could not have cared less about the humans in the city , or the city itself. Everything she did in that game was for Gotham's PLANTS and them alone. Frankly, Officer Cash in GCPD had it right. In effect: "I think all these people mourning Poison Ivy are forgetting who she really was. If she hadn't died, you'd be fighting her right now, Batman." If she hadn't died after clearing up the Cloudburst fear toxins (which she did only to save her own plants), she would have turned her gargantuan super-plants on the whole city and mulched every flesh bag in her path. Batman got lucky that she died. She was still criminally insane and incredibly evil.
Sometimes, it feels like a bunch of the dialogue and characters interactions in arkham city were just to tease and prepare for the villain of the next game because they weren't sure who to choose.
I won't be surprised and I even think it's likely. Aside from maybe Scarecrow, I get the feel Rocksteady didn't have as solid of an idea for where to take the third game as they seemed to have from Asylum to City. All the villains' "I shall return & Gotham or Batman shall be destroyed" threats that we thought were clear set-ups for grand stories might've been just their to wrap side arcs they didn't how to otherwise. Maybe it's why Ivy's seemingly up to little by the beginning of Arkham Knight rather than actively plotting her revenge on Gotham (either as part of a greater alliance or on her own), why Ra's & the LoA don't even return until an extra side missions pack released months later, and Azarel & Hush are added in as afterthoughts in side quests, in the latter's case a one-part 5-10 min quest. Like RS remembered "Oh right, we have to fulfill at least some of these threads" otherwise it may come off like they were stringing us for the hell of it or more like likely, that they obviously planted them with little specific planned in mind and just recalled them later on. Maybe Paul Dini might've had some solid premises in mind, I don't know, but he didn't even return to pen it - so RS may've lost the only creative who had some clear narrative idea of where to head next. There's rumors, but I never found any source for they even come from.

I kinda do miss this ivy. The knight design doesnt look that good in the inmate shirt/fit and looks goofy to me but her personality in the game makes up for it. I just wish she had this voice when she foes beserk

@Arkhambatpro564 thats true, but the story is far from over from what ive seen theories speculating, such as the justice league is actually still alive and arkham batman is still alive and is imprisoned. Hopefully it is true and the story ultimately will become better tho
It's kind of ridiculous that Ivy is the way that she is when swamp thing, the literal embodiment of all of Mother Nature is like, humans kind of fucking suck but I'm just going to chill.

They'll destroy an ecosystem to the point that they themselves go extinct. At least human beings are smart enough to realize they're fucking things up and try not to mess them up as much. Nature has no morals and will gladly cannibalize itself. Humankind might mess everything up, but we at least want to keep it going even after we mess up. We feel bad and try to fix our mistakes for the most part. Nature would just say screw it let it burn. Maybe everything will work out the next time around

We missed fighting Ivy, Killer Croc, Ben, and Scarecrow's nightmares, but Rocksteady did not add it in Arkham Knight or Arkham City.💔
