    Hello Captain, I usually use flutter jigs but would always go back to diamond jigs when we are not getting hits or for beginners because it's a simpler technique. Diamond jigs still delivers but is just tiring. LOL!

    On the rods that you use 10,12, 15 oz's, what is the "lure" weight listed on those rods?

    • @nextdriftfishing

      The label on the rods is 2oz - 6oz but that's just the manufacturer's suggestion. When any rod producer builds a product, they can label the rod with any number they want. They usually label it on the light end for warranty purposes. Ive had thousands of bluefish caught on these rods using diamond jigs up to 16oz and haven't had one break. Thanks for the question.

    What kind of knot are you tying at 4:25? Looks like with a doubled leader.

    • @nextdriftfishing
      @nextdriftfishing  Год назад

      That's a doubled up with an overhand knot at the top. Great way to attached a diamond jig

      @@nextdriftfishing Interesting, I feel like I know my fishing knots but I've never seen or heard of this one before. I'll be experimenting with it, looks super simple.
