I dunno. Jp was also really good. His voice was flat, clearly telling us that he did everything he could to supress his emotions
@@saraheveraarts7937 His voice wasn't completely bare. Especially when he first started speaking, his voice is visibly shaking but he straightens it almost immediately, which requires incredible voice control to do properly.

Alejandro Saab took in mind that basically all of his friends are gone and he's banishing one of those too while still trying to compose himself as general.
@@oceanicGrimalkin That's exactly why I think there's too much emotion in his voice. Don't get me wrong, I love Alejandro for his voice acting skills, but I think Daisuke Ono did a better job this time
I loved the English dub cuz the emotions was so good with JY.
HSR is one of those rare instances where the English dub is just as good as JP

@@a_.k4ri This is just my opinion but CN actually feels a bit weak for me in terms of emotional expression. Whenever I turn CN on, it feels like the VAs are just reading the script bare, even in obviously emotional parts. That's probably just me though.

I absolutely loved how you read JingYuan's line about Dan Feng's sentence. Sure he's very level headed in the present and doesn't seem to let his emotions take the best of him, but imagine him having to banish his friend back then? If he still misses his old life in the present, losing them was definitely hard for Jing Yuan. Truly very very veryyyyy beautifully done!
I may be wrong, but MihoyoAnime studio is doing those animated shorts for honkai series since 2018 i believe. Unlike star rail, honkai impact shorts are part of the main story and shown inside the game.
UPD: I did some research and here what i found: Mihoyo Anime Studio itself doesn't make those animated shorts (not that big at least), but cooperates with outsource company to do them. For Star Rail it is "fantasier animation" (3rd logo in the beggining), for Honkai Impact 3rd it is "wonderium", for Genshin it's gonna be "ufotable". And seems like first collaboration work went out even before HI3rd, it actually was in Guns Girl Z (Houkai Gakuen 2) game

Having all the cloud quintet drinking happily together is so bittersweet . Seeing Baiheng. Blade is still blond and aging.
Contrasting it with Jing Yuan heart brokenly reading a death sentence to his close friend. Knowing all the others are already gone.
It gave more depth IL, Blade and JY meeting in the last story quest.
I think the CN JY is stoic and has control over his emotions. But you can still infer his great pain from his choice of words and the solemn delivery that's in contrast to his usual easy going demeaner. Your interpretation is good too though, good job!
For the Genshin anime, I think it will be a collaboration between hoyo and ufotable. It would be a wasted opportunity in many ways if they just let ufotable do everything.
Plus. Hoyoanime improved leaps and bounds after they start their collaboration, probably learned some techniques from ufotable to further refine their works
I find it funny that in his memories of the express, its in worms eye view, it probably just looks cool but its funnier to imagine that he was in a situation that he looked at pompom from that perspective

I really liked how you voiced the sentencing part. The other languages don't seem to have Jing yuan trying to hold back his emotions in his voice, so yeah, amazing work!
I usually play in Japanese voice, since I also can understand some JP. But in HSR I keep it in English just because you VAs are just so fricking good!! You, Nick, Daman are just amazing at your jobs 🤗🤗🤗

I was surprised Yong Yea (the game internet news and reviews guy on yt) is the one voicing Dan Feng, he did really good also Nick did amazing as Dan Heng props to both of them

And Dan Feng to me sounds like a tired older Dan Heng who has gone through so much shit and is just very sad and miserable so also great voice acting😅😂
You can really feel Jin Yuan’s emotions as he sentences his friend to literal death. He’s such a good voice actor I’m so happy to live in an age where Alejandro Sab (sorry about spelling if wrong) exists as a voice actor.

I was so amazed when I saw the credits and it was YongYea voicing Dan Feng. I watch his vids sh*tt*ng on Blizzard religiously and now he is one of my fave HSR characters previous reincarnation. He is just so GOAT'ed.

I'm going to assume Hoyoverse gave ufotable the Genshin Anime greenlight to probably bypass the censorship? Likely to add more dark details to the story that probably wouldn't make it past the censorship guidelines in China. Only speculation at this point. If HSR had an animation, I wonder if they would do the same as HSR has dark themes more apparent compared to Genshin (yes Genshin lore is getting darker but they still need to tone it down for a younger audience)

Idea is that Den Feng uses the remains of Baiheng, or however spelt, and the arcanum to reincarnate the succession to Bailu which is why he broke the vidiyahara law of succession and why she views him as a friend and teacher after companion mission... or so i believe
Have you seen the KIERU animation of Raiden Shogun's story? Maybe hit them up for Honkai Starrail... your approach - Jing Yuen being impacted by losing his friends - reminded me of that animation. It is unbelievably good.

Congratulations, I think the EN voice acting is perfect. I am so impressed by Yukong's voice acting as well. She brings so much emotion into a character that looks frankly... ridiculous. I mean, she is a fox girl. It should not be possible to put so much drama into that role.
(Some criticism: I do not like Kafka and Silverwolf choices - they seem very cartoony and therefore disconnected from the rest of the cast - you could say the same for March 7th but that is her whole shtick and I suspect her character will see some development)

Lol I'm hoping that both protags are canon and that we see whichever one we didn't choose play a role at some point. (We see caelus in other trailers and he's my choice overall, but they do seem like different characters, not just gender bend or the same)
My guess is Mihoyoanime would probably take most of the team and would delay a lot of other animated projects if they animated the genshin anime in house instead of hiring ufotable to do it
