A hockey jersey is an investment. They usually cost between $150 and $200. I'm a huge NY Islanders fan (I live on Long Island) and I've been to the NHL store in Manhattan a couple times. The Islanders have a great team store at UBS Arena. I bought a stadium series jersey at the last game I went to in the 2023-24 season. It cost $171, everything at the team store was 20% off for the last two regular season home games as part of fan appreciation. Even though I did get a discount on it, $171 is a lot of money. If you buy a jersey, you need to take good care of it and make sure it doesn't get lost in your closet. My favorite type of NHL merchandise is a beanie for winter because you can wear it anywhere and in NY, they're great for the freezing cold winters we get. I recently got a Winnipeg Jets beanie because I love their primary logo and the colors.
@kobyschechter8163 well said, I've kinda fell off buying hockey jerseys as of late as I was getting burnt out by how overly pricy the hobby is and it's kind of sad how despite how niche the jersey collector community is, they still push for these crazy prices for non MiC products. Like, I saw some dipshit selling a Hughes Devils RR 1.0 indo for $1k, which just made me so fed up with how people buy this shit so that this annoying cycle will forever continue 😤. I am now getting into baseball jersey collecting as it's much cheaper and I dig how more flexible they are to be put on as fashionwear compared to wearing a hockey jersey which is a bit too attention grabbing imo. I'm still planning on getting a ducks zegras next month whenever it drops and the speciality games ones if they interest me, but for the most part, I'm a bit lax on getting hockey gear. It helps that my closet is filling up like crazy so there's that.
My siblings definitely were annoyed throughout this video but I didn't care as I greatly enjoyed my visit. I just hope to return to this wonderful place in the far future it's prices sucked monkey dick but the experience was definitely worth it.
I have been to it last summer I think or the year before that the summer of 2021 the new NHL Store is nice it's a little bigger than the last location by the one by Rockefeller Center and it is beautiful
For the trip and shop items? Totally. I am planning a trip to NY next month so I plan on coming back here to check to see if any of the Adidas stock will be on deep discounts but there might also be the chance of fanatics gear showing up. That isn't bad for me as it will give me a first peak as to the quality of jerseys to expect for next season, hell I might get a glance on those disgusting Utah jerseys lol.
I am from New York from the New York metro area and I got 3 Reverse Retro 2.0 jerseys of my 3 local teams in the Tri-State Area NY/NJ where I'm from Rangers, Islanders, Devils and I will say all 3 look good in person do u have any social media so I can show u the jerseys
