  • Auckland - Tāmaki Makaurau - has a reputation for being quite an expensive travel destination, and for good reason. The cost of living crisis is REAL. Nevertheless, we thought it might be an interesting challenge to put our budgeting skills to the test and see how far we could stretch our money, particularly in the central city area.
    In this video we seek out culinary bargains and take advantage of activities that are worthwhile and, most importantly, FREE (spoiler: there is a lot of walking!) Next year, when we are travelling overseas full-time, 'frugal' will need to be our middle names - so this was great practice!! (Just pretend you didn't see the Uber ride. 😆)
    Hope you enjoy!

    How much cost of living in New Zealand per week...?

    • @loganandtim
      @loganandtim  6 месяцев назад +1

      Based off the “living wage calculation” you would need about $850 NZD per week to live a comfortable lifestyle in NZ. Though in Auckland city it’s probably more than that. If you Google “living wage NZ” it will give your some well researched information on how much money people need to be comfortable here in nz. (Though, 1000s of family’s make do with much less)
