I like to know your opinion on the below point. Sony XM5 vs cheaper IEMs. Which one has better sound quality? I am going to connect my XM5 wired using Apple 3.5mm DAC.
Hey there, When comparing the Sony WH-1000XM5 headphones to cheaper IEMs, we'd lean towards IEMs due to their superior sound quality. IEMs offer precision and detail, excellent noise isolation, and impressive clarity due to their close fit and direct delivery to the ear canal. Their portability and compatibility with DACs further enhance the listening experience. While the Sony XM5 headphones are excellent, IEMs provide an intimate and immersive sound profile that's hard to beat, particularly for those who prioritise clear, detailed audio in various environments. Keep the music playing!
Very interesting video, I absolutely agree. Open backs will always win with staging. Being able to spread out instruments. But iems I find to have one massive advantage. And since tech with iems are advancing. They can stage impressively. Example. Hifiman Arya Organic vs Thieaudio Prestige LTD. This is tricky as they both are high up there in the audio world of headphones and iems and also priced similar. The Arya Organic will have the more open, grand, larger staging. But the Prestige LTD for an iem stages large also. While it doesn't reach that sense of staging like the Arya Organic. Due to the tech. 1DD, 4BA, 4EST. I find tuning to be more pleasing and musical while also being more engaging. It has more low end that extends lower, smoother and less fatiguing mids that bring out more detail, and treble the extends amazingly while again, being smoother compared to the Arya Organic. When it comes to detail, iems are a different level. I find myself being able to hear more layering and micro nuances with the Prestige LTD over the Arya Organic. But again, the Arya Organic gives that sense of space and larger staging. Overall. It's tricky, but yes, open backs for home use and iems for more portable use. But iems have become that good, you can use them anywhere
Great question. I prefer a well fitted IEM. The noise is kept out, and it sounds brilliant when im listening to music. But if your somoene who likes to just sleep with the silence on the flight, a headphone with ANC would probably be a better bet.
Sir, should i go for Sony wh ch520 BT headphones under 5k for crisp and overall balanced audio or is there any type-c iem under 5k that should better in crystal clear audio?
The IFI GO Link works well with virtually all headphones and IEMs out there. We haven't heard the Form 2 specifically, but its a safe bet to say itll make it sound nicer.
Olina se through a flagship dap gives as much details as something like an hd 800s/800 out of the same flagship dap. However with more sophisticated sources like a dedicated dac amp (flagship), the Hd800 will outperform the olinas without a doubt. I have used them as such and can confirm.
Actually my preference I think is I want bass along with clarity in music in all other parts of the music 😅 if that makes any sense for that I have observed is that headphones can give more bass. I have tried several IEMS and closed back headphones (not tried open back headphones )like in IEMS JBL, Boat, RHA MA 390 and in heaphones the obvious Boad Rockers and One Audio Pro 10(Look I am just starting to explore audiophile world and I know most audio products that I am telling are generic). From all these I felt more bass and detail in full sized headphones. Though IEM like the RHA had more detail but less bass. The OneAudio I felt has really good amount of balanced bass along with detail to give that umphhh. Now why am I looking for an audio product? I have just purchased a new phone and it does not have a headphone jack, that's why. So should I continue with my OneAudio and buy an adaptor or should I go for an IEM because the headphone has started to show its age, it's earcup material have started tearing up and it's a mess to use it now while the IEMS does not have such problem and from what I have also observed IEMS are more value for money. So can HEADPHONE ZONE please suggest me what to do?
IEMs are more of a value, at least in the budget group. Things like the Truthear Hexa and Moondrop Aria are fantastic for very little money. However, it’s worth noting that IEMs can have substantial bass. For you, you haven’t tried open back headphones. Closed back headphones, like you have tried, are known for having more bass than open back headphones. But in my opinion, a decent open back headphone can’t be beat. I enjoy them more than IEMs.
@@napalm8030 Yes my fears have come true cause headphones tend to wear our quickly. And the open back headphones you mentioned are costly right. Substantial bass you meant low bass right?
Well. I didn't have much experiences with iems or headphones. What should i buy fir under 2000₹, IEM or an over the ear headohones? Specifically the jbl quantum 100 or kz zsn pro? Or should i lean for tws like the the enco 2?
